Just put both the headlights/fog lights on my 18 3500 gmc Denali a week ago, I’m extremely impressed, everything they say in the video and more, best $$$ spent.
To be honest with you, there is a chance that with certain projectors and lighting products, you could get more light output than those housings! The install is much harder with a retrofit, and they have less of a warranty, so those are all things to keep in mind on top of the fact that these housings just look much better than stock! Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help!
I’d like to see a video of the oem 16-18 1500 Denali headlights to see what the max lux is on those from the factory. I wonder if there’s a big difference.
Is it true if your truck already has DRL you dont need to run the wire provided? Morimoto says they recommend it on every install. I didn't on my first install and they ran fine but one of my DRL started acting up.
@@HeadlightRevolution Okay thanks for clarifying this for me. I believe in your install vid it says its not required so thats why i didn't use it. I have one more question for you. So my fuse 39 already has an add a fuse on it for a different application on my truck. Is there another fuse I could use for my DRL on these lights that would keep them working correctly?
I'm debating to wait for these to actually be in stock. I've been through the "2 more weeks" pre-order/ship delays with other stuff. I seriously want to secure a set, though! The only 2 companies that mentions these headlights is Headlight Revolution and The Retrofit Source. Each with different websites, different ship dates, but both have the same street address. 🤔 I honestly don't think much about it or care to. Whichever of yous start shipping gets my pesos!🤩🍻
From what I saw in the manual, these also fit the 2017 sierra with the other headlight style, just have to cut the gray wire. Please advise if I am mistaken before I order
When would you adjust the horizontal on these headlights? I know that you said it's preference and driving style, but what affect on visibility and angles would horizontal adjustment have? btw I installed mine yesterday! They have amber reflectors on the side, not clear. 🤔 Still love them!
I have 2014 Sierra 1500 SLE (no led DRLs). My truck uses low-beams for DRL. I understand these will install and function on my truck.. BUT.. do they run the low beams when in DRL mode on my version of the truck or are they smart enough to only run the LED halo and leave the low-beam off? Thanks.
I thought they was suppose to run without the headlights. I installed mine just last week and the headlights and DRL both stay on. I have to turn off the automatic light control to turn the headlights off. Also, my DRL always stay in bright mode they never dim down at night. I have a 2014 gmc sierra SLE.
@@jamieelliott2220 Thanks for the reply. I chatted with a rep on the web site before purchase and they said the headlights should stay off during the day. This is false though. I bought the lights and installed and the headlights stay on. Also, my left light burned out after a few weeks. I need to return them and figure out what do try next.
@@jared7394 No, nothing new. The Morimoto headlights portion are connected exactly like the stock headlights. The truck has no idea anything is different and thus keeps the low beams on during the day as DRLs. The LED DRLs in the Morimotos are powered off a wire you have to run to the fuse box under the hood. That fuse position has nothing to do with headlights and once again your truck will have no idea those lights are on or have anything to do with headlights. Your only two options are to 1. Turn off the DRL's with your dash headlight switch every time you start your truck or 2. Remove the spring inside your headlight switch so it can stay in the off position instead of the spring returning it to the auto position. Hope this helps.
@@mitchydkid my 2014 has DRL. I find the “C” led is in dim mode and not the brighter mode during the day. Rep told me to replace the fuse wire that came with 10amp & 5amp to 10amp & 10amp it should be brighter. Hard to tell during the day but it still seems less bright than the videos I see of others
Ok so here’s my question, I bought these headlight for my 2018 Sierra Denali hd, so I plug them up just like the video shows but my drl do not turn on?! Aren’t these supposed to run drl without the additional harness on the high trim models?
Did you ever get your drl to turn on? Or did you have to install the drl harness? I recently purchased these headlights but haven’t received them yet, and not sure if I have to install the harness or not on my 2019 HD Denali
They will only fit the 14-15 Sierra, and they do alrady come with only a clear lens, the inside is just blacked out. If you have any other questions, let us know and we will be happy to help! Have a good one!
Totally, as I said that will be up to Morimoto, they are the company that makes the headlight housings that we sell. We will of course let you know if they do come out with anything! Have a great rest of your day!
Morimotp shows these with an amber side marker (reflector). You show with a clear marker. If you sell the ones in the video I'll buy them. If they come with an amber reflector on the side I'll pass.

Not true, and we do recommend using the DRL Harness! The DRLs will operate without the harness but they will not operate as intended.

Right on man, we got you covered when they come in!💪 You can get your foot in the door by getting your pre-order in the system!👍
So when the "bulb" goes out, what do we do? Buy another $1500 kit?
That is what the 5 year warranty is for.

You are correct, with certain models you will have to cut that grey wire!👍
Does the gray wire have something to do with the side amber marker lights staying on after the truck is turned off
Hey I installed these lights and my driver side is flickering. I have a 14 GMC Sierra Denali.
Can you replace the 2014 headlights with the 2016-18 ones on the sierra?
No.

This would affect intensity down the road and overall width.
I want these but would it be possible to install rgb in them
It is, but opening them will void warranty just fyi!
