@@DavidonEarth that's a sound and true statement for anyone who has ever ventured into the IPW... it just keeps calling you back and inviting you to explore further. 😎
Beautiful place; one of my favorite areas! I remember trying to come down from Devil's thumb pass through a massive snowfield and regretting every minute of it. Although size of the fields definitely matters, I found that depth is the challenge in the summer. Stepping through snow and falling into a hidden stream is quite exhilarating. :)
Exactly!! I did that on the way up Huron a few years back... postholing forever in a sea of slush and bog at the base. Or how about getting your foot trapped or scraped up between rocks hidden under the snow? Type 2 fun, for sure!
Enjoyed seeing a part of the IPW I haven't visited and looking forward to the next two parts of your trek. Wise decision to go to a Plan B, especially with the lingering snow fields and the threat of thunder and lightening early in the day. At least it wasn't a leaky shelter like you know who. I'm thinking all those snow fields at the higher elevations are a good sign for September fly fishing when I come out.
Yes, an extraordinarily beautiful setting. Happy birthday.🎉
Nice way to spend your Birthday!
Indeed!!
Absolutely love that loop, anxious to see the next video and how things go. Either way, just being out there is wonderful.
At the risk of spoiling the next video, there's definitely more IPW in my future!

Looks like the start of a good plan B.
Most of my life has been plan B. Haha. Not regrettably so.
@@DavidonEarth Yep. Some of my best travels a come curtesy of plan B.

Definitely a great setup for anglers
