Already means "ya". It normally works in the present perfect. It's normally used in the affirmative, although I've seen this used a lot to emphasize a question with a positive surprise. Pone que “rise” afecta al “objeto” y debería poner “sujeto”. 2. El tema es que en tu frase, pienso que es compuesta por dos frases, y en la segunda el sujeto cambia y es waves, por lo tanto quizá sería otra vez rise en tu caso.

Es como tú bien tratas de indicar, que rice se hace con s sorda, es decir, como la s española, donde no se activan las cuerdas vocales, pronunciado /ráis/. En el caso de rise, es una s sonora, donde se activan las cuerdas y suena así /ráiz/. En todo caso, dichas deprisa no llego a notar la diferencia por lo que no he incidido en ese tema. Noelia, efectivamente, hay una muy sutil diferencia, para mi casi imperceptible, pero que sobre el papel la hay. Es como tú bien tratas de indicar, que rice se hace con s sorda, es decir, como la s española, donde no se activan las cuerdas vocales, pronunciado /ráis/. En el caso de rise, es una s sonora, donde se activan las cuerdas y suena así /ráiz/. En todo caso, dichas deprisa no llego a notar la diferencia por lo que no he incidido en ese tema. Whereas rise is an intransitive verb, meaning that no object comes after the verb, like in the prices have risen, han subido los precios, or the tide is rising, la marea está subiendo, raise is a transitive verb, meaning an object comes right after the verb, like in my boss has raised my salary, mi jefe me ha aumentado el salario, the government raised taxes, el gobierno aumentó los impuestos.

Norma, uno afecta al sujeto, a la primera parte de la frase:
Rise: I'm going to rise, the sun is going to rise, they are going to rise. Se pronuncia con /ai/.
Raise, afecta a la segunda parte de la frase, y se pronuncia con /ei/, como que saludas. I'm going to raise my hand. I'm going to raise the price....ves? aquí subir afecta a mi mano y al precio....la segunda parte de la frase o al objeto. En el caso de rise, afecta a la primera parte de la frase.
