Jay, you and your guys did a phenomenal job of bringing these bikes back to life! Elbow grease and that labor of love shows like a work of art! I would love to have one of these bikes in my stable!
This video is going to be so value to a lot of guys rebuilding these old bikes, myself included.
Every race series has the family that has 3 or 4 kids racing, plus dad and maybe mom. This video is their life, and their typical week.
Good job Jay and everyone in the Retro Support Crew that helped! 🎉
The best dirtbike channel on youtube! Nice work boys 👍!
Wow, thank you for watching! We appreciate it!
Wow these guys are awesome!im a newby to the dirt bike world and little at the age of 51 lol been riding all kinds of motorcycles since i was 19 these dirtbikes are a better deal as far as riding them on different terrains
Dirt bikes are the way to go! That's why we like them so much.
That's a lot of work guys, but the results are worth it! Red frame looks the best ;)
Thanks for the support Rado!
In 1985 (and probably some other years) there were 5 Honda "250R" models. It was always interesting when a customer walked into parts, plonked down a part on the counter, and said, "I need one of these for my '85 250R". e.g. CR250R, XR250R, XL250R, ATC250R, TRX250R
Yo Jay, been working on a 94 cr250 and man do I feel this video! Been following your CR builds and appreciate what you do.
I use brackets mounted to the foot peg holes to bolt the frame to the table.
Awesome Jay! You are a true asset to us motoheads… I just did a 1993 CR250R and you are correct, they can be a ton of work. I picked up several tips. You are the man! All the best.. FJ
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
#1 looks soooo good!
We will have more videos soon showing them all done and some of the others are even better
It reminds me of my 1992. That was a fun bike
92 was also a great year!
Dang what a cool project
The 96 era is my favorite Honda bike all three of them 125,250,and 500 with the red and black plastic
96 is most everyone's favorite cr 250 lol. It was a great full package. The 500 was the same bike from 94 to 01. With minimal changes from 88.
@@dormantmenace didn’t know that Tks my 03 kx125 is going to Built500 this summer to get her a body swap lol going AF and been looking for a AF cr250 as my all the time bike
They are absolutely beautiful bikes good job
thank you!
I've never clicked on a video so fast.
Impressive effort and incredible results - classic builds👍
Very keen to see how these bikes run, what they are like at the track. Great video, thank you!
Glad you like them! They rip!
Great video. Loved watching the process. Makes me want to build a bike. Keep up the god work.
You should! Thank you for watching!
A project for the record books!
Soo cool!!!
Thanks!
Thank you! Excellent job!
Thank you too!
This is so freaking cool! They all look amazing.
Thanks!
This looks like a ton of fun! Great video going in depth on every one of these builds makes me want to get one to do too!
Thank you! They were a lot of fun to work on
Another amazing video Jay. Great work
Glad you enjoyed it
I’m glad I’m not the only one that cuts chain links that way. It’s so easy. I don’t need no stinking chain breaker.
Brads such a badass. I love watching his time lapse footage.
Haha yeah especially for MX chains its the way to go.
Thanks for watching!
Which timesert kit do you use. Not sure which metric one I’d need. I need a timesert in my fork just like most bikes.
That #1 bike is about perfection.
Amazing stuff, thanks for sharing!
5 rebuilds probably took 10 total in parts. That’s huge undertaking. Great job Jay
It was 10 sets of suspension to make 5 so yeah it was rough. Thank you!
Great insight! All of the bikes came out great. 💪🏻
Agreed! Thanks for watching!
Super cool to see these bikes come back to life.
I wish I knew, would of sent you my 93cr250, currently stalled in a frame off restoration, mostly in boxes🏁⚙️
Job well done boys! 💪
Thanks!
Outstanding work Jay, I've done a few 90's bike builds myself and the amount of time spent on finding parts and sourcing out work takes much longer than the actual build itself, I love how you made each bike have a different and unique look even though they are all basically the same bike, projects like this it can be more about who you know than what you know.
Haha definitely took a lot of people to get these done, but came out great! Thanks for watching!
There is no concern with tripple clamp strength and rigidity boring them? And why not pwk upgrade?
Not really, we were trying to be price conscious about these builds especially when building five at once.
I have a 1990 125 ive half ass restored need a few chain rollers and a bolt for the motor mount in front should be good to go.
very nice vid! subd! I just sold my 95 cr250 and I'm regretting it so bad :(
Haha we are going to sell most all of these so you can email me if you want on the sell list
Burnt bronze Rims would have been killer.
Great job on those CR250's, you going to sell them?
Dang
Have you ever tried watts perfection for port work and machining?
Excellent job!
I am working on a 1992 right now. What did you do for the brake pedal? Most are wornout. Did you bush them? Or?
Watch the full video and you'll see the aftermarket tips we got to work.
Cause six is too many. It takes a village for cleaning and assembly 😊
Haha yeah six is definitely too many unless I find one more once I get rid of these.
Hey..Just wondering..can you guys help me build one like those..and where can i reach you out?
Where did you get the blue decals?
Decal Works of course.
@@dirtbiketv1 Thabks. I have white ones. I just got all new plastic and I was thinking about going with blue on my 1995 CR250.
What fuel are you running?
VPC12 with Klotz R50
@@dirtbiketv1 safe to run on stock motor? Nice
