There have been thousands of deaths, to the point where there are dead bodies being loaded into freezer storage containers carried away by forklifts to be either cremated or buried. STORAGE CONTAINERS. These were people with families! Being carried away by forklifts in storage containers packed in with other dead bodies! And for you to go ahead and say that you don’t want to wear a mask just because it’s inconvenient for you is flat out selfish and disgusting. No one likes it. But we do it for other people’s sakes.

I think a lot of times for the average flyer they think they can just “make it” to their destination. For example, say a person went to Miami on spring break and had so much fun that they had a hangover the next day of their flight home to say St. Louis. Often times they will be like “ I’m not paying for another flight, I can make it and it’s only like a couple hours. I’ll just drink water and sleep it off.” They don’t want to accept the reality that it’s dangerous to fly sick because of an inconvenience. And business people look at it as “time is money.” They not trying to miss out on an business opportunity for what they may feel like is minor cold symptoms. Some people feel like unless your dying or a limb is basically falling off, your going to work. People work through sick symptoms all the time so that they don’t miss out on money. I know You may know all of this already but I’m just adding to the conversation.
Gen Wilson I agree but as a flight attendant myself, I’ve responded to so many medical emergencies where folks knew prior to having the incident that they were ill. Our bodies respond so different at those higher altitudes. To me it’s selfish if you willingly know you’re not fit to fly but continue to do so anyway. A lot of folks may not know that airlines will not charge you if you’re sick and need to change your flight. Once they know you may put the flight and operation at risk...they would be willing to change it.
L. S. Hi, I completely agree with everything you just stated as I am also a flight attendant ☺️. My previous response was not a justification of passenger behavior, it was an explanation of their behavior. As you have stated I agree that it is incredibly selfish to fly without considering how your sickness could affect other flyers that you are in close contact with inside a metal tube. I really do wish people think more about how their actions affect others and perhaps with discussions and videos such as these, things can change. But the sad reality is that we are just not there yet. My suggestion for the casual flyer (specifically people traveling for leisure) is that if you can’t afford travel insurance in case your sick or too hungover to make your return flight, then keep saving for a proper amount of money to go on your vacation. Or at the very least they can do more research prior to their travel because as you stated some airlines offer flyers options to rearrange travel due to various issues for free/discounted charge. And for businessmen my suggestion is to be more considerate to other people and maybe take a zoom meeting or send your most trusted colleague in your place. But that’s too much like right and people don’t care about others they don’t know. They also don’t care about how it affects us as the cabin crew. I think the USA should do more to instill cleanliness and a responsibility to respect your neighbors starting at a younger age in schools and at home so that when they become adults we hopefully will not have passengers such as the guy in this video. Other countries such as Asian cultures were already teaching their youth to wear masks not specifically for corona virus but for preventing the spread of their own cold germs to their neighbors. So when covid affected the globe, it was an easy transition to continue wearing the masks they already had as a preventative measure in their society. All we can do is keep informing the public about safe aviation practices and hope that the information is retained. Happy flying out there. Be safe in the friendly skies! ✈️💗✈️

He said the airport doesn't stop you. They just inform the airline you're flying with and let them take care of it.
The airport has no authority to stop someone. But the airlines do because a plane ticket is basically a contract between you and the airline. You agree to follow the rules or forfeit your ticket when you buy it. So they can kick you off if you “break the contract” by refusing to comply with the rules.

Im our company, when we go to the office they will check the temperature at the entrance and sometimes some people have high temperature and they will let you rest and cool down for a few minutes before they read your temperature again. Sometimes, test at the entrance will read high temperature especially if you walk to the office or depends on the time of the day so they will alow you to have a few minutes rest. So far, no one in our company was infected yet.

We will just all keep infecting eachother with or without the masks. If we dont need goggles and masks are sufficent enough then why would a hospital deny me the right to see the elderly family member when Im wearing my masks & gloves? Some people have difficulties breathing. I have issues breathing, and I have claustrophobia and anxiety which makes it difficult to wear a mask. I only go out when I need to so that I don’t have to wear it. But it’s also something that shouldn’t be mandatory. There’s always going to be diseases and viruses and wearing masks isn’t going to make it disappear... and it won’t help much. Do you want to live in a bubble your whole life? Be my guest.
Grace Holm as someone who has asthma and is also claustrophobic and still wears a mask, i think ppl have no excuse not to wear a one. it’s inconvenient for everyone yes, and it can get a bit uncomfortable, but you’re ignorant if you think they aren’t necessary. at this point people who complain about wearing them are just selfish with no fucks to give about the well-being of other people. diseases will always be around, but we don’t have to always live in a fucking pandemic. i don’t get why it’s so hard to just follow some simple rules. if everyone complied sooner then we wouldn’t have to wear them anymore.

Firstly, virions are never ejected individually. They are almost always transmitted on particles of water OR mucous and so on. THOSE particles are almost always blocked by the masks.
So your filtering of the virus point was easy to refute. Did you even TRY to research this?
Even IF the body were able to transmit individual virions, then the particles would present too low a viral load to challenge, much less infect a person. Further, airborne virions tend to have a charge and will likely be attracted to the mask.
@S W Mucous can dry and that means the virus would be stuck in that, so that didn't affect the situation at all.
The virus that would be attracted to your mask are STATISTICALLY the ones you breathed out. IF it was a virion from another person, then you'd have breathed that in anyway (if you weren't wearing the mask).
You should change your mask when it doesn't look like it would be effective any more (has holes, etc..). You can clean almost all cloth masks and change filter in other n-95 masks and other masks are disposable.

I work as medical rep in Georgia. Our company has contracts with over 300 offices and only 20 out of over 300 will allow any reps in the office. More than half of the doctors offices, only are doing telemed unless you are severely sick. Meaning their patients can't even come inside the practice. And every single doctor that I have spoken to thru my job, including my primary, suggests wearing a mask. So just like with my gun, I'm going to use my mask because I'd rather have it and not need it than need it. I dont like wearing it but its seriously not even bad. At all. Like quit being a child.

Thermal cameras are just Security Theater that does not help at all. The issue is asymptomatic carriers do not have a high temperature and people can just take medicine.
