Very impressive, the second part gives me instant goosebumps! I really like how you handle the second part, it's very different from the original piano collection version and I actually like your version more, although it's slower, I think it's more intense and clearer than the original version.
I played 13 to the end, and it was a chore, but this song was always the best part, and i simply love the way you play it. I've watched this video a lot of times already, and i will undoubtedly watch it a great deal more. Thank you ;)
I am most happy today to have found your channel. Thank you for your wonderful musicianship and love for your work. I hope you will come to Japan someday to perform.
Browsing through your stuff!.... I didn't want to spam every video, but maybe I' will because it helps the algorhythm hahah This is the time when i draw and look inspirations to play on the piano, and it's lovely to see your channel on the recommended part. 0:20 fast fix!!
INCREÍBLE, el sonido es hermoso y tu interpretación también. He querido tocar esta pieza y todavía me cuesta trabajo. Saludos desde México AMAZING, the sound is beautiful and the performance is truly amazing. I´ve wanted to play this piece and it still hard. Greetings from Mexico
1:58 is where I really recognize the Hamauzu style as it's very similar to his other pieces Decisive Battle (FFX), Attack (FFX) and Kaki (Vielen Dank).
"I didn't care for 13 that much, but I FREAKING LOVE HAMAUZU AND LOVE BLINDED BY LIGHT." haha, this sentence resume perfectly my opinion about this game
I'm not sure if hamauzu was the one who originated blinded by light, but his pieces in 13 were quite good nonetheless! Thanks for the great video as always!
Nicely down! That ending always gets me. I felt as though the first half was a bit fast and the second half was a bit slow but it was impressive nonetheless!
haha, I had to go and listen to the official recording to see what you meant by the tempo, and whoa YES! I see what you mean by the tempo!!!!! now I feel like re-recording it, there's much more give and take in the second half, but I really like that faster speed!!! =)
Yeah the faster tempo really gets the second half going. I've always had trouble with that ending though, playing it as fast as I want to. I always end up losing some accuracy along the way. Anyway, you're rendition of it was perfectly fine~!
8BitChoiBoy awwww thanks man! =) and thanks for letting me know about the tempo, I really want to try it faster now hahaha, and I lose accuracy all the time lol.
O.O this is great. How did you handle the left hand at the start of the second page? My hands can just barely reach to play it and yours look smaller than mine. Could you help with that?
Andre Williams do you mean those leaps? Well, the key to that is to have a very loose hand, get your fingers in position TOUCHING the keys but not playing yet, then spring off and touch the next chords getting all your fingers in the right places first, then play them. Pretend the keys are springboards, is the best way to describe how to do fast jumping around stuff. I hope that helps!!!
Hi, I doubt you will see this but if you do is there a chance you could provide a link or information on where you got the sheet music from? I would love to play this arrangement. Thanks.
And then you remember you got Hope the Raise ability- and then you realize Hope is the one that’s dead because he always has the lowest HP and therefore can’t use it. Good times
for sure the FF13 trilogy was better than FFXV, just because it FELT complete, unlike XV. though to be fair, Tabata had to deal with a huge mess, working with someone else's IP to rush it out the door and it's honestly a miracle it is as cohesive as it is. He had a tough job and it was no small feat to pull it off.
@@purpleschala indeed! I am on my way on chapter 8, and I think FF XV is so bad that i couldn't play it anymore. I don't understand, why they put so many useless subquests while neglecting the main story? I still cannot accept that it was a mismanagement alone, he could have a lot to put into the main story instead of giving the players 300+ subquests.
@Eriol It's strange, because I think I liked FF XIII (I only played the original FF XIII, not the whole trilogy) more than purpleschala given some of the comments I have seen her make about it, yet, I think that at least the in-game version of blinded by light doesn't really stand out that much compared to the other FF battle themes. It's very good, but so are many of the other FF battle themes. Although, I think some unofficial versions of the theme, very much including this one, sound quite beautiful. But when it comes to FF XV, it seems like people have a pretty narrow idea of how a game has to be. FF XV is probably my second favorite FF behind FF VII, yet, what makes me like each of those games is very different. What makes me like XV has very little to do with the story -- although I liked how the mood unexpectedly and suddenly got dark and intense towards the end to contrast the earlier part of the story, as a whole, it was lacking. No, what makes me love FF XV is that I can go hiking whenever I want. I can go run around in the woods all day with my friends (Prompto, Gladio, Ignis) and have a good time. That's what a lot of the game felt like for me. It felt almost as if I was actually going outside running in the woods in real life on a summer day or something. Or wherever I was in the map. I really felt like I was exploring something, hiking around, and I could do that all the time. Taking in the beauty of nature. The game looked so good and gave that vibe incredibly well for me. And the camaraderie I had in that game with those 3 guys traveling with me every step of the way, I never felt more connected to any other characters, maybe because they didn't just make themselves known in cutscenes, in fact primarily they did through questing or just casual exploring. In fact, they actually managed to create this through fights... the teamwork between the characters during any fight, I'm sorry, that camaraderie is not what I would feel during a regular FF VII battle encounter (again, my favorite FF game) or any other FF game for that matter... when you're in trouble and one of your friends helps you back up like in FF XV when you're low on health, well, that's life, and I am quite happy to experience that during a game. Their chill demeanor... I could hang out with these people all day. Oh, and when I am able to summon something, some kind of god, I don't remember, that would destroy all the enemies around you and light everything in some dark glow for several seconds after the fight as you feel its might, and that that was something that could occasionally happen not necessarily on any quest, but could happen from just a chance encounter just while doing normal exploring... it is just magical, and something else. I made those stories. I did. Those experiences were way better than any cutscene I experienced in this game. And I am very happy this game exists and am very impressed that they could create an atmosphere that is so enthusiastic about exploration and just taking in the world. Yeah, that might just be me taking a walk on the beach, not otherwise interacting, but I think taking a walk on the beach is pretty cool and I like a game that can replicate the feeling of things like that. Even going fishing and trying to catch a big fish -- even just the atmosphere of that, just the sound of the water... it's the simple sensory pleasures sometimes that can get me. It felt less like a minigame and more like, I actually wanted to go fishing with my friends or something, it's a nice day, why not? :) I'm sorry, I just had to bring that perspective to this because it really deserves to be heard. When people ask, oh, why did you have an open world game where people just walk around to tons of sidequests? Because the simple things like feeling like you are exploring real, beautiful, scenic places with your friends, is a really cool thing to some crazy people like me. I like that in real life, and playing this game is a really convenient way to get that kind of experience, too. Yes, it is clear that they put the emphasis on exploration over story -- and sure enough, the exploration is better than the story. There is no way I am going to discount some of my amazing experiences with this game simply because other parts of the game, that were not as much the focus, were mediocre or worse. I will not forget the great vibes that I got from playing this game, and I am always willing to defend them.
First part is really good, but the more into the second one, the more it sounds unnatural, and closer to the end a couple of clear mistakes can be heard. It would be great to see this video re-uploaded, with all those flaws corrected, would be really amazing piano cover of that piece.
