when simon's nonsensical rock>scissors strategy actually worked flawlessly, and he managed to beat some of the best units in the game with some of the worst units in the game I burst out laughing. I swear every time he's on something legendary happens!
@@Gustav_Kuriga Ninja's are pretty good man, they can kill things way above their own point cost and eat through a near endless ammount of chaff. It just happened that stone throwers hold their stones at the exact height they throw their stars at.
@@orangesilver8 How bout this then? 2 Ullrs, rest cannonfooder (for example halflings), keep the ullrs alive through everything while they do the damage.
Tom def deserves the handicap hosting the games. Its a little cringe when he invites newbies on and pulls out the ole cheerleader artillery progamer move
I think Tom should have tried to break up Simon's rocks/chaff with Valkyries Candleheads Snakes archers Balloons Fireworks Skeleton archers Add a ballista to take out Simon's heavy hitters Then a variety of chaff to get the swords attention Shields would help block and keep people alive Sarissas for melee range Then finally a beatstick or two like the pirate queen or Blackbeard He never had a diversified enough force.
Just an idea, you should start with the first tier of technology in the stone age for the first round, and work your way up 1 or 2 ages per round. Might be pretty interesting to use more advanced troops as the game advances!
I'd like to see a no-secret HORSE one day. No cheerleaders, no 'Hero' units.. maybe raptors. Because YOGSCAST Rapto should not be prevented from joining in.
I can't believe Tom still tries to use Giants, Mammoths, etc when there are Hwachas on the field. Hwachas are INSTANT death for those, and those huge slow units are trash on the first place. If he had traded out the giant and the Pirate Queen for another couple senseis and cheerleaders, with a few bards running interference, he would've had it. Senseis kill SO FAST.
Tom should have just do the classic and use the unit giving him most trouble against Simon. He shouldve put down three sword throwers opposite to the 2 simons sword throwers and put sine halflings in between them . Then he should have used berserkers, to make the stone throwers waste their attacks and cause confusion via pathfinding.
Rock Paper Scissors logic would work well in TABS if you think of what units represent those elements better. My "rock" would have been something defensive, like Hay-bailers or shield-boiks. Scissors = Glass cannon units? Ranged maybe? Paper = Fast/mobile units? Rock = Tanky units? Thoughts anyone?
I can’t believe those god damn rock throwers VS ninjas actually worked wtf
Ninjas are trained to aim for the crotch
Can't beat rock paper scissors logic.
Rock throwers are actually pretty good, faster attack than most other ranged with good damage.
Rock > scissors. True wisdom.
Sam Loveday Rock Throwers actually counter a lot of ranged units
Tom never went paper and that was his downfall.
His last ditch attempt was to double down on scissors.
Exactly, he should have deployed some fan boys.
But what even is paper? Shieldos?
@@ethan-loves fans! Blow those rock boys down!
that Rock Paper Scissors logic is solid. im gonna live my whole life by it now

"If it was a wooden sword, they'd be brickin' it" - Chauncey Lane 2019
Rock throwers have just risen an incredible amount in the TABS unit rankings.
they were always this good
I love the classic hand played game
‘ rock -paper- Blackbeard scissors ‘
when simon's nonsensical rock>scissors strategy actually worked flawlessly, and he managed to beat some of the best units in the game with some of the worst units in the game I burst out laughing. I swear every time he's on something legendary happens!
Except they aren't some of the best. Tom literally played the units against their specific counters.

Tom's strategy game is weak today. "I need something fast, ranged and somewhat tanky"
Why not just put down 10 Ullrs?
Ullr costs 3,000 points.
@@orangesilver8 The point is, Ullr is overpowered and Tom knows that. So adding an Ullr or two improves just about any formation.
@@Gametherapist Ullr was overpowered, but then the cost was increased to 3,000.
@@orangesilver8 How bout this then?
2 Ullrs, rest cannonfooder (for example halflings), keep the ullrs alive through everything while they do the damage.
@@Gametherapist Then simon could have placed two ballista's far at the back and snipe the 2 ullrs
Josh, "*noise*" was Simon very quickly saying "Do you know what?"
"D'y'kn'wha"
Simon and tom playing tabs is literally the perfect video
But Simon Clark's not in this video. It's just Tom and Chauncy
Horse? Instantly liked. Ain’t even started the video yet.
Trying to fill Blackbeard full of swords? Sounds like pop up pirate to me!
Simon is secretly a strategic genius by simplifying everything down to rock, paper, scissors. What a pro. Well played.
During the jingle jame they should do a HORSE tounament so its not always Tom vs X all the time. (Also ban Cheerleaders for it)
Excellent idea
rather than ban cheerleaders, give everyone a free cheerleader every round but make it so you cant take any extra
Hello bot001, kill me please
*Runs into wall*
Yo I wonder If you gave them the idea for a tournament. They did one like a month after this

I'd argue that Simon would've lost if he got the middle position or if berserkers came into play.
That was probably the best episode ever, tbf Tom deserves the circle handicap, GG boiks
Tom def deserves the handicap hosting the games. Its a little cringe when he invites newbies on and pulls out the ole cheerleader artillery progamer move
Joshua Scott You cringe at that? Oh my dude
Those bouldermen started what would turn out to be a complete sweep.
Tom you're spoiling us with all these TABS videos
Pretty sure Simon is secretly a genius. Tom was playing Simons game the entire time.
Simon is generally the smart/cultured one, he just dumbs himself down when Lewis is around.
rogueIndy he’s really not, he was always a manchild since the beginning of the channel.
I love how tom tryd to be cheap with the sensei and the cheerleader 😂😂😂
if he wasn't in a circle he would have done 5 matches in a row with cheerleader artillery ZzzzZzzz
@@indiwo1f your right 😂😂😂
Chauncey's TABS Protip: Rock > Scissors
Time to rethink all my life choices and all decisions moving forward are done with rock paper scissor logic.
Tom could have won this easily with berserkers, it’s not even funny how badly he cocked this up.
Simon Forest-Gumped his way through to a perfect victory!
0:50 Tom: “There are these stoners” Simon: “What do they look like?” Me: Duncan Jones? :P

Valkyries

I wanna see a Horse tournament with a bunch of people from the yogscast to find the best at TABS.
I haven't laughed so hard in a long time as when I saw those ninjas throwing their stars directly at the rocks.
Tom, you could've just gone for a DaVinci Tank. They're great when they're surrounded.
Being surrounded is such a tactical disadvantage that this was wildly unfair
Are we positive that Simon isn’t actually a tactical mastermind hiding behind a facade of incompetence?
Dreamwalker what makes you think it’s a facade?
Simon has started a new ideology today. Rock Paper Scissors for life. Loved seeing Tom finally get legit stomped.
I think we just need an official Riddle Bros channel
Simon coming in and inventing the new rock-thrower meta was just beautiful
Who would’ve guessed that he would win flawlessly when he has every advantage possible
Always fun seeing two friends playing games. Keep it up you beautiful people.
*Simon gets a call from the Royal Army* “Hey, you want to be our new boss?”
Just an idea, you should start with the first tier of technology in the stone age for the first round, and work your way up 1 or 2 ages per round. Might be pretty interesting to use more advanced troops as the game advances!
Tom totally wanted to see whether just 1 extra giant would have been enough
Live for these videos, Tom. That small-headed hobbit looks like a goomba from the mario movie.
Gaia and Steve would approve of making decisions using rock-paper-scissors
Is it just me or are Chauncey's Swordcasters a lot less suicidal than the ones Tom used in the past.
Maybe for future future surround map horse matches, the person in the middle should have a point advantage, since they start out literally surrounded.
In which Simon and Tom discover the secret behind TABS, units are all based on a literal rock, paper, scissors interpretation.
Oh my god Toms face! That gentleman was beautiful, I laughed so much, thank you both
2:21 and I have to say, what was that Tom about not using the rock paper scissors analogy for every thing in life?
Some say Chauncey is the English equivalent of Sun Tzu with his rock/paper/scissor guide to warfare.
Simon now gets his very own video on the channel
I really didn't think the stone thing would work, hahah
Rock Paper Scissors logic worked fine in Megaman, not surprised it worked so well here
Wow. That rock paper scissor strat was beastmode
When I watched the first part I was like, holy shit, Simon is a fucking genius.
You should save these rounds as levels and upload them to the workshop, Tom!
Blackbeard = Pop Up Pirate (thanks to the Sword Throwers)
This entire game was entirely pop up pirate!
I LOVE WHEN LETTER APPEARS
SO dramatic
I'm going to use the rock paper scissors logic at work tomorrow
If Simon just put a reaper down every turn I dont think it would even be possible for Tom to win without doing the same thing.
the king is dead....long live king of TABS Simon

Back once again, with the renegade master
Back once again with the TABS behavior
About time our lord and saviour simon destroyed someone.
Love these videos! Suggestion if you are interested: swap being inside the circle if the person inside loses two in a row.
Proof that rock beat scissors! I can't believe that first fight, omg
Hitler should have used the rock paper scissor strategy
when tom is trapped in a small space and cant use his balistas he is lost!
You should change the rules to whoever wins 2 in a row, they go in the middle and the loser gets to reset their board too
Simon's front teeth are like a disgruntled old married couple, sitting as far apart as they can be while still in the same room.
Woooow...
You should try to make the *worst* army. You have to use all your "money" every round
That sounds fun actually. Of course, you could just do all Bards, or cheer leaders; might have to ban that.
Simon bringing the galaxy brain plays.
I don't think the layout of the battle helped Tom all that much. XD
rpund 1 rock paper scissors, round 2 is a pretty decent attempt at pop up pirate with all those swords in him. apparently its childhood game day
More circle rounds
More Simon
More rock paper scissors

Simon, paper, Tom.
The cue is looking good boys
Stoners = hard counter to ninjas...what a time to be alive.

Loved the FRIENDS reference!
Simon basically built Stonerhenge and it won him the entire match!
Tom should've used a tank
