Every once in a while, you come across YT videos that are so good that you have to watch them again to squeeze more out. This is one of those. Thank you!
Hey Dan, I've been taking a break from my SAAS and not watching your videos for a while but I just tuned in and BOOM! you're still here sharing such great content. Thank you! There's so much BS online masquerading as value but this is the real thing. Thanks for sharing!
This is exactly what I needed. I have a beta of a b2b saas product done, had my first 4 demos. Felt as if I was missing a structure. I'm excited for my next one now. Subscribed!
Great video, Dan! This is super helpful because my MVP is built, but there are still quite a few features in development, so calling it an "early adopter program" rather than "beta" is great phrasing... Beta sounds like it's not really ready yet, but early adopter program sounds like less of a sell and more of an enrollment (as you said). Also sounds like it primes them to give you as much feedback as possible especially if they're paying for the whole year upfront I have a few customers already, but definitely going to implement this to get more active users who can give good feedback on what's actually important to build Thanks!
Great video Dan, thanks. Quick question: to offer the prospect value from what you've learned and get them on the phone, you need to have spoken to other prospects to get this info. How do you enter this cycle starting fresh and how do you take the conversation in call part 1 from learning about them to also telling them / giving them the value they originally signed up for or vice versa? Thanks
I asked myself this question as well. I thought maybe we can start by telling them we already did quite some research and we could offer that to get the ball rolling... Dan, how do you approach it?
go where your prospect customers are (fb groups, following their influencers, comments on specialty books) and read reviews, questions, notes, and then talk to them.
Hey Dan, great roundup for pre-selling. Heard one or another thing in another video from you. Sounds so easy if you tell it like that. I'd love to have an example for B2C in the next video or videos. B2B sounds so logic and problem-oriented. How would I convince a stressed out mum to get on a 10 minute call with me? I don't think she would like to learn how other mums would have solved her problem?
Hey dan, My original vision for my tech business was to start from the ground up and build the brand, competing against those within the fitness market, I have now decided to pivot the business towards B2B instead of B2C, why compete when you can add value to the existing market. we are able to offer our partners £2.50 for each order made within our partner's apps, whilst giving customers a solution to some of the biggest pain points within the fitness industry, we aim to make the extra feature completely free for our partners, with the idea being completely novel, What's the best way to approach companies without breaking the relationship with an NDA but keeping my intellectual property protected?
Hey Dan, great episode. I have a feeling that this can be applied as well for service based subscription business. But the only difference with that is the pricing. Since it's a service. The pricing goes from $400 - $900 per month. Is it still a good idea to collect the 50% off early adopter payment for 12 months? Thanks you so much
Hey Dan, thank you for the amazing content as always. I am in a position where I am not "Taking the money", I am giving up to 6 Free Months to a small group of early-adopters and they seem really exited about the product. Any ideas on how I can reverse the tide? Greetings form Italy!
Hi, I'd like to know where the business is today, if you don't mind sharing. What % of the small group converted to paid customers after the 6 months free ride was up?
Hi @@same.7939 no one! But we are still in touch with a couple of them. The product we have right now is not yet perfect but attracts people and we paired it with a FullService option: Software Service + People and it is bringing very nice results. Thx for the throback to this comment ;)

What do you mean by "how you see this potential as a solution." ? What is the potential you are raising?

Oh man this is great! Such a time and money saver going through this process.
Thanks for putting this up, Dan!
Glad it could help.
Out of curiosity, from your experience, is there a benchmark for how many pre-sales startups need to provide the right level of signal for investors?
Great video I must say. Thanks a lot!
Thanks Dan, appreciate your advice.

Just checkout www.kickstarter.com for examples of preselling B2C, etc... that's all that is. Crowdfunding = Preselling.

I'd also like to know how it could be applied to a servicing business
Most service companies get 50% up front before even starting the work. So yes, makes sense.
Thank u such a valuable video
My pleasure
