Anubhav Sinha has evolved as a director and in this one he fares better than he did in the previous roundtable. Siddharth Anad is also quite ok. All in all a good roundtable.
I never thought i would love Zoya's movies so much when i saw luck by chance trailer...now I wait for her movies more than anything...ZNMD AND GULLY BOY r so special for me and both teach us something very imp
Finest roundtable of 2019, a lot of deep insights about how you actually deliver a film, constructive discussions and an all around meaningful discussions.
Just want to appreciate the panelists for such a memorable roundtable. It's like a satisfying deep breath in the crowd of excited gasps. Had such a lovely watching the story behind the storytelling unfold.
Its a moment of pride and yet sadness that zoya remains to be one of the only female director(i wouldnt use that term but using it to just describe my point). I think more women should be promoted to do this.
It would have been awesome to have a pan India directors' roundtable that had Lijo Jose Pelliserry, Thiagarajan Kumararaja, Geethu Mohandas, Vetrimaaran, Zoya Akhtar etc. They all are consistently doing awesome movies and had some of the best ones this year too.
Zoya described the scene (girl sitting back in the car and crying) which was the best scene of Gully boy for me, I feel I’m tuff but the poem broke my heart in a socially romantic way....
To all those questioning Sidharth Anand on this table, they need to understand that his film was the one that generated most income for the industry. If that income is not there the survival of good content movies also won't last long. Always understand the economics of this business before just saying stuff about the movies
I am glad people are questioning the presence of s Anand here coz they want to show the displeasure at why ppl make and watch such crappy movies . these movies are the reason that economy is wasted on shit . the economy otherwise would have benefitted the other more deserving classy movies. why are indian citizens so hell bent on adjusting and liking crap and not learn to upgrade their minds by liking good quality cinema. an action movie with Hrithik and tiger can also be with logic ,style and good content. why make them work for a shitty illogical script. audience should appreciate good work more and ask for good work. Please let talent be your guiding star. allow Hrithik and tiger to do some really respected work rather than force them to waste themselves on war like movies.
Anubhav and sujoy are the perfect examples that you don’t always need to make a big movie for it to be a good one. They made big budget movies with huge stars and fell flat most of the time but when they lowered their scale, they were more focused on the script and they made best movies of their careers.
If only we had discussions like this everywhere, everyone got their points in, no one cuts anyone, you got a feeling of everybody and their craft...thanks , and all love to Sujoy, he is the way he is ...and he is really cool 😀
Very engaging! For once Rajeev wasn't flippant! Everyone deserved a seat on this table. Loved that Siddharth Anand is a self aware guy who knows his limitations. Fyi: i couldn't sit through WAR!

Article 15 actually reminded me of Scandinavian movies. For its tone and sheer grittiness. I remember feeling surprised as usually Bollywood movies have big events happening every few minutes to keep the audience attention. I liked how they showed how opressive caste is without being preachy. Sairat the original movie also did a great job in potraying it.

He is just soo delightful. Zoya Akhtar is very very lovely. Anubhav Sinha has evolved as a director and in this one he fares better than he did in the previous roundtable. Siddharth Anad is also quite ok. Aditya Dhar is surprisingly quite a nice person to hear. Nitesh Tiwari is again a really good director and also provides some interesting insights in this conversation. Sujoy is quite jolly.
All in all a good roundtable.
Abhishek Chaubey & Vasan Bala deserves to be here instead of Siddharth Anand & Sujoy.
Usually they are not excluded.. they decline the invitation due to their busy schedule..
Also uri director is of no use
And forgot to mention that it was the best Round-table in recent years... So insightful and thought provoking.... Thanks Rajeev...
I just love zoya. 💥
I never thought i would love Zoya's movies so much when i saw luck by chance trailer...now I wait for her movies more than anything...ZNMD AND GULLY BOY r so special for me and both teach us something very imp
Best roundtable from this year.
The director of war does not deserve to sit with these guys....he should be in a roundtable with directors of dabangg, or kick or baaghi
Finest roundtable of 2019, a lot of deep insights about how you actually deliver a film, constructive discussions and an all around meaningful discussions.
When they showed Sandeep reddy in the beginning, I was like 😛. Now I want to know, is he not invited or did he say no. It would have been 🤯
Che Guevera Rajeev said on Twitter that Sandeep was invited.
Was invited. He declined to come.
He wasn't missed
@@cap-uk8fd I miss him. A voice is a voice, opinion is opinion . Doesn't matter how many approve of it.
I am just so grateful for these round tables 🙏, and yes I also do think there should be writer's round table too.
Where is SHONALI BOSE .....
she has to be there
The film when to Tiff
She needs recognition too
THE SKY IS PINK
I watched it last night and was rooting for it but the movie was very average! Sonali Bose's first movie AMU was her best work! Just saying'
That movie is for depressed and mentals, so that they can feel less sorrow about themselves

Zoyas point at 53:30 nails everything in our present times.
Sujoy gosh is such a talented director.very underratted...so humble he is...this interview was a blis..writers and Dop round table pleaseee
Loved loved loved chhichore! 😍
Zoya described the scene (girl sitting back in the car and crying) which was the best scene of Gully boy for me, I feel I’m tuff but the poem broke my heart in a socially romantic way....
Totally guessed Sujoy Ghosh's wish to meet The Ray.
To all those questioning Sidharth Anand on this table, they need to understand that his film was the one that generated most income for the industry. If that income is not there the survival of good content movies also won't last long. Always understand the economics of this business before just saying stuff about the movies
Thank You Talha Usmani , finally Intelligent Answer GOD Bless You 😇
So does sandeep wanga kabir Singh earned so much money but why he is not here
I am glad people are questioning the presence of s Anand here coz they want to show the displeasure at why ppl make and watch such crappy movies . these movies are the reason that economy is wasted on shit . the economy otherwise would have benefitted the other more deserving classy movies. why are indian citizens so hell bent on adjusting and liking crap and not learn to upgrade their minds by liking good quality cinema. an action movie with Hrithik and tiger can also be with logic ,style and good content. why make them work for a shitty illogical script. audience should appreciate good work more and ask for good work.
Anubhav made RAONE😂😂
Amar Kausik is the filmmaker I'm looking forward to ...very genuine guy...
zoya not only makes some good films, also speaks well and logical things too
Some good freemakes

When did Jackie shroff became a director 🤔
Hahahaha. "Tu mera bachcha hai bhidu".
😂😂😂😂😂
How secure is Sujoy Ghosh! Too good.
If only we had discussions like this everywhere, everyone got their points in, no one cuts anyone, you got a feeling of everybody and their craft...thanks , and all love to Sujoy, he is the way he is ...and he is really cool 😀
when sujoy ghosh said i want to meet Ray....i felt it
Need a south director ones too . Like Vetrimaran sir , Lokesh kanakraj, Karthik Subbaraj, Aashiq Abu, Lijo Jose Pellisery , Shyam Pushkaran etc.
I am so happy mard ko dard nahi hota was mentioned. It is such an underrated gem.
bro it was good
but last 40 mins were highly dragged by the editor
Anubhav Sinha Sir wearing the Super Saiyan Broly T-shirt!!!!! Animé movies should be more talked about in India. They are brilliant!
All my love to Zoya. She is intelligent, talented and best of all FIERCE. Quite an inspiration.
Expression on Zoya’s face when Siddharth Anand speaks.
Time bata na be
Amar kaushik speaking in hindi is love ♥️
Very engaging! For once Rajeev wasn't flippant! Everyone deserved a seat on this table. Loved that Siddharth Anand is a self aware guy who knows his limitations. Fyi: i couldn't sit through WAR!
War was a entertainer with a engaging storyline and yes loopholes
@@rishiagarwal3726 No it wasn't! After staring at Hritik for 5 mins i did get bored! Looks like you enjoyed it..
@@Malshe i think you r just trying to show that u r intellectual by telling that you don't like action entertainer 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@kabirsingh1442 That must be it! Bollywood always makes worthy movies.. so must be me😊
Being a bengali I had to clap for Sujoy when he said Ray...truely those who have watched pather panchali know that there is no film that describes the essence of story-telling better than that❤️
Article 15 actually reminded me of Scandinavian movies. For its tone and sheer grittiness. I remember feeling surprised as usually Bollywood movies have big events happening every few minutes to keep the audience attention. I liked how they showed how opressive caste is without being preachy. Sairat the original movie also did a great job in potraying it.
Zoya kills it. The best spoken & intelligent of the group. Love Anubhav & Nitesh too.
