@@justinpasko3387 I never got around to trying these out, but thanks for the reminder. Snug and stiff boots seem to help a bit. I think stabilizing the foot and limiting the flex above the toes helps, kinda sucks and feels a bit clunky sometimes, but it is what it is...
Hey, great video and love my treadlabs insoles. However, I’m very cautious about putting them in my goretex/waterproof boots because I’m worried about wearing down the liner. Have you had any issues with this in any of your waterproof shoes or boots? Thanks!
Hey great video. I'm also thinking about getting these insoles for my overpronation and PTTD pain. Not sure which arch height to order. What is the arch height on the High insoles that you are using? Is Pace rigid enough under running for a 200 lbs guy or should I order Dash? Thanks mate for your assistance in this. Wonderful video.
@@john_kelley Hi John, I'm looking to get these for my soccer cleats because of my low arches. My cleats are very narrow and have little to no extra space. I know these are advertised for cycling and soccer footwear but I'm not sure if they will work. Would you be able to tell me the exact width of the plastic arch piece in inches so that I can measure it against my stock sole? Thanks
@@vincenzoaudittori1490 I wouldn’t say best lol. If I get on the overtime list, we work 12 hour days. Only about an hour of that is in the office, so I’d be walking for 11 hours a day straight, 6 days a week
I am a 350 pound guy I like to hike so I plan to use this to loss weight but.. I cant go no further than a half mile without sitting down because the lower back will burn so much. have you experienced this?
How ridgid are these pace insoles, can you easily bend them with your hand, are they ridgid enough to hold its form when aplying pressure during hikes ect..
Hey JK, thanks for the review! I’m struggling to find a better shoe/insert combo to combat my feet’s tendency to develop blood blisters on the balls of my feet during my thru hike attempts. They shut me down for weeks after only 5 days (~22 mi/day) on the trail. I’ve tried several Altras but I’m wondering if they’re right for me. Do you have any suggestions?
I tried Altria lone peaks, but there wasn’t enough cushion. Currently, I’m using Saucony Mad River TR 2’s. I love them. They might be the most comfortable shoe I’ve bought. That doesn’t mean they’d be the best for everyone, but they work for me.
Hey sir I recently purchased a pair of the pace insoles and wanted to ask you if you used the "FOOTPRINT" measurement to determine what size to get and if you did, was the fit accurate for you? I have high arches too and wonder if I would benefit further from the extra high arch insoles instead? I had mine for about a week and still have some foot pain. Also side note they didn't fit well in my running shoes (UA Rogues). It caused my ankle to slide around a bit. Thanks!
I didn't use the footprint, only because my doctors have always told me I have abnormally high arches. So I got the highest ones. I'd say reach out to Tread-Labs and tell them about the ankle support. I've not experienced that, but I also don't use the same brand of shoes. They might be of more help to you on that.
Hey JK how you doing man. You did a great job on this review. I need to check these out cuz I have a lot of back & foot pain. I suffer with a bad back so I know where that pain is coming from. Those Velcro seems to be really strong. John can you feel them in your shoe or the shoe feel like they not in there. You said you have wide feet and i do too very very wide feet. Do you know if the price is different on how wide the soles are and how wide do they go. both of my feet got broken early this year and now I'm having foot pain and my feet swelling up. I wonder if these soul will help. Did You said the owner of the soles he owns Chacos sandals and you own a pair of those sandals. I watch your backpack podcast live stream and i enjoy that. You guys were funny and had me laughing. Great video man.
Hey Mack!!!! Click on that link in the description. It’ll take you right to the insoles so you can see all the options. I’ve never felt the Velcro in my feet. They are very comfortable. The founder of Chacos started Tread-Labs. He’s not the owner anymore. I believe Chacos is owned by Wolverine.
@@john_kelley So true. My feet are jacked up. I usually were Superfeet, but won a pair of these from you! I am a slacker. I will definitely try them out & will put out a video.
Insoles were one of the answers to my plantar fasciitis. Awesome vid John!
Thanks, my friend!
What specific insoles?
I have used superfeet for years.. but I always forget to put them in new shoes lol.. Great review
Lol. Thanks!
Rise and grind sir! Might have to check these out. I've had a mortons neuroma develope in my left foot over the past 2 years. It sucks.
That sounds awful!
Hey Doug, I've also been diagnosed with mortons neuroma. Have you found anything that helps?

@@dougthueneman Yeah, I honestly have no idea which way to go for a solution. I just live with it and accept the pain unfortunately. Best of luck!
Can you throw those inserts into the washer machine ? ( minus the plastic arch piece)

My issue is theres hardly any reviews or info on these on online. If they were soo good, youd think they'd be more well known
Looking for some help with sesamoiditis on the trail. My plantar fasciitis went away when my ice hockey career went away.
I mean, there are review ads and then there is this video.
Oh they sound amazing..... probably will not be able to find them here. Footpain can really mess up my hikes.
They've made a huge difference for me.
