  • Bill Perkins played one of the most legendary poker hands in history on Poker At The Lodge. In a hand with Handz, he went all-in, but he was late for his flight. So he left the table and watched the results of the hand from his phone at the airport.

    The Lodge Card Club is a members-only social club in Round Rock, Texas (just north of Austin). With 24/7 cash games and 2+ tournaments per day, The Lodge is THE place to play poker in central Texas. The Lodge Live is streamed every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 3PM CT.
    You never know what you might see on The Lodge Live stream. You might see Pocket Aces vs Pocket Kings. You may see the nut straight lose to a full house after the board pairs on the river. There's a good chance you will see loads of straddles (and double straddles, and triple straddles). Players go all-in blind or play poker hands after looking at just one card. That's just what poker is like in Texas!
    The stream regularly features Lodge owners Brad Owen, Andrew Neeme, and Doug Polk. Players like Rampage, Mariano, and Igor Kurganov has also graced The Lodge Live felt. And who knows? One day The Lodge may even host players like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, or similarly huge poker names.

      @@niercyrian8573 I would probably crumble based on the stakes and the game. Plenty of overpairs, the obvious straight and the unlikely trips, even full houses at play where the opponent may have flopped a set. I’ve had these situations happen to me in lower stakes when I just refused to fold. I learnt to fold more in these situations giving my opponent more respect but perhaps I’m not at that level of poker thinking yet.

      @niercyrian8573 Рік тому +1

      @Rishab Rege Maybe you're playing at a higher level than your opponents. In lower stakes, the best strategy is A.B.C poker. Each hand is irrelevant from all other hands because you can't expect your opponent to take into account all the other variables. I've witnessed all ins with a duce 3 flush when the opponent can have and does have all the other flushes. Most players in lower stakes are just clicking buttons.

    That is probably the most savage bluff I have ever witnessed, right behind it would be dnegs bluff vs pocket king’s early in his career

      @@elleonverduzco7653 Not really. If you’re playing poker at these stakes you shouldn’t let table talk affect your decision. None of what was being said could influence the action either.

    First off, this is a hilarious move by perkins and I love it. I know the lodge is a private club with it's own rules. But in general, is a player allowed to leave the table while in a hand? If so, y don't people do it more often so others can't get read off of them?

    • @chevelle1
      @chevelle1 Рік тому

      While this was entertaining, if you leave the vicinity of the table, your hand should be dead. Live poker is a social game. Bill had the opportunity to read his opponent during his bet, his opponent didn’t have that same opportunity. Every player should have the right to read his opponent after his opponents river shove.

    I saw this strat on another youtube video. Guy went all in on a bluff and then left to catch a plane.
    He needed to get that far away to make his opponent fold his pocket pair.
