You wouldn't normally shoot people with this gun. There wouldn't be a person left. It is normally used as a long range rifle or anti vehicle rifle, depending on the ammo. You have the standard round, ap, and blue tips( idk much so if I got something wrong don't rip my head off)
Also they can't get their hands on explosives, the only time they did use the grenades was because they were sponsored by EA who provided everything for them
.50 cal rifles are meant to be able to take down light armor like punching through an engine block of a car, so a block of lead would probably just get the round lodged in it, or it would ricochet back.
Nearly every round that I've ever seen hit a metal target has either passed through or destroyed the round on impact. Obliterating the round is a better word. The only time I have seen a true ricochet is when they were trying to create one by shooting at a very hard target at a very low angle. Regular Rounds obliterate themselves when they hit stuff like that at a flat angle.

You guys NEED to touch base with Dr. Matt at Demolition Ranch, for an entire gun series. The guy has damn near EVERYTHING, a .500 Magnum revolver, multiple Barrett .50cal's, even a freakin *canon* !!!
Idea. You could film at night and use spotlights to illuminate the water and air where the water is going to splash. That way it stands out against the black background. You could even shoot into a tub of florescent paint or fluid to encourage the contrast.
Michael Dego Light differs from contrast. If you have a spotlight to illuminate the more important scenes then it might just be a good idea to increase the contrast by shooting at night. The darker areas may get ignored, but all we really care about is the gun firing and the bullet impacting the water in the best quality possible.
Great trigger finger discipline by the way as well as downrange safety. Trying to hit targets at great distances with precision is what makes it a fun hobby!

Well Gavin did used to work in the film industry doing camera work.
Idea. You could film at night and use spotlights to illuminate the water and air where the water is going to splash. That way it stands out against the black background. You could even shoot into a tub of florescent paint or fluid to encourage the contrast.
Filming slow motion at those fps' requires a lot of light. Not possible in the night.

If you have a spotlight to illuminate the more important scenes then it might just be a good idea to increase the contrast by shooting at night.
The darker areas may get ignored, but all we really care about is the gun firing and the bullet impacting the water in the best quality possible.

Dan is military trained, the scope was probably sighted right before filming, and they're firing at a known distance from the candle, so it's as easy as point and shoot.
