Starring Timothy Olyphant, Aunjanue Ellis and Boyd Holbrook. Raylan Givens left the hollers of Kentucky and is balancing life as a U.S. Marshal with being a part-time father. Keep up with the time people, the world is so much bigger. Love the show.
I would love to see a series with just these two-Ireland and Olyphant here are like beautiful music, just flowing and playing off each other with great timing.
Show is not same as original but its good in its own way.
Everyone has their own opinions. I think the show is really good and can't wait for the next episodes. I just started watching Jestified Primeval and liked it so much, it made me look at the previous series. I liked Olyphant in Die Hard and other things, but I love him in this! I think this series is good because he has to navigate seemingly unfamiliar territory and rise to the occasion. Lastly, expanding himself in a relationship that seemed unlikely, but true inspite of the traditional obstacles warms my heart. I love the show, Olyphant, and the motivations of these characters. Brilliant and continued success! Can't wait to see what comes next!
Once you watch the original show, you'll realize how much of a letdown this series was.

I stopped watching a couple of episodes ago out of boredom. I'll either catch back up or dust my light bulbs. Haven't decided yet.

Yep it was terrible. Once again Hollywood got the depiction of the city all wrong. Being a Detroit nstivevit' s obviously wrong. I read the book too .Almost as bad as this.
I like the show. You can't please everyone. This justified is based on a book and the main charater was not Raylan. And it's been 8 years.

She was great on The Unit. That’s just her acting style.
Imagine that --- a crooked Detroit official...... The town is SO COOL yet it's "leaders" are so inept. Coleman Young , Kwame Kilpatrick bred generations of this nonsense.

One last thing; hated they killed off Vonde's character, but love Ellis in this! She's the Real Deal in this! Such complexities...love it!

Small thing but important - love how Raylan still wears that very distinctive horse horned ring on his right hand. This series for me has been a let down, yes glimpses of real interest, yet putting a Glanco trained dead shot Southern Halen born and raised turned US Dep Marshall into what is a killing zone, and once great Democrat run shithouse city with a flakey storyline - just does not seem right.
Now if this was set in Miami, and Rayland had to deal with the criminal associates of his first kill Tommy Bucks, that'd be far more interesting.
Raylan - he may physically be in Chicago however the town aint right.
Fish out of water or what. I hope 'next' time the writers 'get' that putting a square peg in a round hole does not work.
But to again get a taste of the brilliantly diverse character actor Timothy Olyphant and as 'Dep US Marshall' Raylan Givens - well it just makes me so much eager for more spin off series as there's a LOT the great Elmore Leonard has bequeathed writers and actors. This series has imo has shows that've been bogged down in irrelevant issues.
One 'hopes' Clement is arrogant enough to 'think' he can out draw Raylan - even 'Boon' drew just as fast but his obsession with a head shot kill vs Raylan's body mass Glenco training muscle memory shot saved him.
And Clement aint no 'Boon'. To even compare 'Boon' and Clement's draw capabilities is insane.
All projection, all made up. It's a tv show and some people seem so angry and personally hurt
The whole Clement story line is rubbish. Every Willa scene is cringe worthy awful. The season has indeed been disappointing, glimpses of good, but a failure nonetheless.
this show barely registers as a pale reflection of the original. the quality of the film making and cast aren't even comparable. it lacks in every dimension. i stopped watching city priveval so as not to further stain the original.
No where near as good as the original. No action, BORING !

This iteration of "Justified" is very disappointing to say the least. Can't believe i wasted time looking forward to this.
I've been waiting for it to finish before dipping into it. Is it just boring or are there other issues? I know that it's not based off a Raylan Novel so I had low hopes for him being "whole" in the story but was hoping it'd at least be a fun romp.
@@Alconium In the original "Justified" it was about Raylan. A quick-draw-deadshot, someone who broke rules with only few caveats. This show is not about Raylan but just portrayed Raylan as a "shoe-in". I woiod not put spoilers for you, if you have nothing else to watch and want to critique it I wouldn't blame you because "Justified" is one of the few series that didn't subvert expectations but gave a good ending - the original I mean.
@@AlconiumIt's not a continuation of Harlan County shenanigans. It's a grown up more mature Raylan in an urban setting. It seems the loudest critics are stuck in the past trying to re-live glory days with a touch of racism thrown in, disguised as complaints of "wokeness" and "what Raylan wouldnt do". As a fan of the character and actor, I'm enjoying Primeval.

It is super boring.......like if you were a fan of Justified there is no reason to like this show, there is no action and they stretch one subpar case out over the whole season as opposed to Justified, which kinda subverted expectations and the Marshalls were always like 3 steps ahead of the criminals. I wouldnt mind if Raylan was actually a more mature character, but all he is in this show is a guy that looks angry all the time. He seems totally emotionally retarded in this series, he had anger problems in the original series but he could talk to anyone. In this show he seems to just spend most of his time glaring angrily.......I seriously dont get what is good about this show
