To my tyranid brother. I feel the pain. There is not enough armor cracking in our army to bust up a list like that. Things of note. Hive Tyrant is basically a 100% mandatory unit to keep next to your maleceptors and exocrines. There's just no choice in any list other than Invasion Fleet. They gave him lethals so that other lists can basically run the core Invasion Fleet units and still get the main thing that you always take in Invasion Fleet (lethals against vehicles). I feel the pain though. Our guns aren't as good, our melee isn't as good. I have resigned myself to the fact that tyranids are a "score VP and hope you don't get tabled by T3" army. Elite infantry is not an issue, but tank lines are borderline impossible.
At that point I think it's simply match up dependent. If full tank lists are our weakness, that still means we stand a good chance vs other army types that could be more likely to be pulled up. It's just that full tank lists are... I dunno if I wanna say a full counter to us but mainly the lists we're not the best against. In other words, have a back up plan for tank lists but lets not be too discouraged since there isn't only full tank lists out there.
@silverfortune2205 100%. I've found this same lists trades much more favorably into elite infantry with tank support. Full mechanized lists are just hard when you're sending in shots banking on 6s, and then 5s. Numbers wise, it's not feasible to bust up two+ tanks per turn. Not salty about it, it is what it is. They've tried to put more emphasis on battle line in Parih, so we're just holding out for a meta shift.
I think the new tyranid rules are great its just some of the point costs are still a bit too high on monstrous creatures like hive tyrants, norns, tyrannofexes, carnifexes, and a couple others. With so much anti-tank in the meta the monstrous creatures tend to not be as good and really need to come down in points.
@@themetal3656zoanthropes are pretty good now. but tyrannofexes are inefficient at busting up tanks even with the d6+6 damage because theyre incredibly overcosted at 190 points. hive tyrants, norns, tyrannofex, and carnifexes all need point cost reductions still.
I just thought of this now but it would be pretty cool if you had a campaign battle like the Lion vs Angron but had Imotekh vs Helbrecht campaign battle from the book, also helps with that Black Templars and Necrons are pretty popular factions as of right now.
So wait, artillery can still hit on low numbers like a 2+ with those buffs? My buddy just started playing as guard and loves the artillery units, but we both hate the nerf. The biggest nerf I hate is limiting reviving full units to once per game
@@dragonbell69No, it never did that, it just removed the -1 to hit and gave reroll ones. The cover was still there. Now it's less useful with the 4+ cap but still good. Mortars don't need orders or can move and still hit good and everything else rerolls ones so sweet but less auto include.
Just clicking at the video 1 minute in, looking at the armies (why no lists in the description?). I see nids against a parking lot. I'm guessing this will be a one sided match so I skip to the end. And sure enough.
The chain-deadly-demise bit at the end brought a smile to my face. The energy at Play On is so great. Love watching these games.

*Tyrannofexes and Zoanthropes laughing

Watching from Germany! :)
Hello there!
T-Fex with Rupture cannon is what you needed
Watching from Nashville Tennessee!
I just thought of this now but it would be pretty cool if you had a campaign battle like the Lion vs Angron but had Imotekh vs Helbrecht campaign battle from the book, also helps with that Black Templars and Necrons are pretty popular factions as of right now.
Great game! Thanks guys. Really appreciated the mix of units Jordan brought out there. Where did the terrain come from for this one?
This is a mix from various places but the main terrain was from mantic games
Where did Brick Ironheart come from?
Nick forgot the poor horses. 😢
What is that awesome little laser hes using?
Basically a laser pointer
This game looks ridiculous on that table with tanks
Watched from Japan
I don't think you can issue orders when embarked in a transport
The Chimera's ability allows an officer inside to issues orders measuring from the transport
@@kylecormack747 I did not know that that's really good to now know
Believe its called mobile command centre or something like that

Only if it has line of sight to the target.
@@PlayOnTabletop does the Scout Sentinel still count as "giving line of sight"?

@@dragonbell69 No sadly.
You can't terraform multiple markers in a single turn, this is clearly stated in the rules FAQ.
Gotta have a tyrannofex and zoans

Yeah really boring to watch tbh. I kind of wish they would slow down a bit to know whats going on.
