Kris is a nice guy: with all those votes he got, why didn’t he sell more records? Adam Lambert was head and shoulders above everyone else on that show in regards to talent, creativity, and charisma.
Never saw Kris on TV performing one of his own songs, OK, so it wasn't too well received but, they told him to go for it basically!! Besides, Adam not only sang a wider range of songs, he never sounded the same!! Adam was an unfortunate testament of the American people, they voted against his sexual orientation!!!!!😢😢😢

I always felt Adam Lambert deliberately lost the American Idol contest. It was a brilliant move. It is hard to believe that Adam has gotten better. Way better. Everybody is standing on planet Earth. Adam Lambert is soaring in the ozone level.

Adam Lambert is one of the most exciting singers ever to come out of American Idol. The emotion and fire with each of his performances was incredible - total travesty that he didn't win! Absolutely loved that he, together with Queen were the opening act at Her Majesty, the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee - magnificent performance - the ultimate in showmanship!
Kris Allen, yup, he is a good singer, but all his songs sound the same - there is nothing that really 'grabs' me about him - a good lounge or wedding singer!
I, along with millions of other people, were pissed that Adam didn't win! He was the only one who made that season exciting and it would've been so boring without him there. I don't think he ever got bad critiques on any of his performances other than during country week, which I can kind of understand because I, too, thought it was a little strange. With all that said, 13 years later, it doesn't matter anymore at all that Adam came in 2nd because he's gone on to be way more successful than Kris and he's touring with one of the biggest-selling rock bands of all time. I have to say I think he's the most successful non-winner to date and rightfully so!
America wasn't ready for him. By what has transpired since then it shows we are still not. Maybe some day

Adam Lambert is on a whole different level than Kris Allen. Allen will never reach the level of success Lambert has in the years following AGT. Lambert is the frontman for one of the greatest rock bands there has ever been. And not only that he has a singing career and does his own touring around the world. I never could understand why he came in second unbelievable.

Just come across this video and I am so surprise they are being compared. There is no comparison between the two. They are both good but Adam is much much better. Kris voice is so ordinary. There is nothing especial. He sang just like in karaoke. Even facial expression is so bland. But he won anyway. Blessing for Adam for not winning. People knows who is the real winner.

Adam is a better singer than Kris! The two singers cannot be compared. Ádám is an extraordinary talent, of whom there are very few in the world! I could find a hundred Kriss who would be much more talented than him!
ADAM Lambert was the TRUE WINNER!!!! He was excellent and more in every performance , unique, dramatic...I looked forward to his performances each week. It's so unfair for him to be runner up. Either this was rigged or something because there is no match between Adam and Kris.

Chris’ singing puts me to sleep, no excitement or power at all. Adam was like a high energy concert with powerful voice. I was sad and upset that he did not win. So I stopped watching any idols shows since.
I love Adam and Kris. 💜💜😍 They are both amazing singers and artists. It would be a dream if they recorded a song together (even with their musical styles being completely opposite). They could do a "Kradison" live with alison too. I miss seeing the three together. 🥰

Kris is a story teller, smooth deliverance, his voice is pleasant to the ears, did not overkill the song. Kris presentation is solid and consistent while Adam is versatile for sure. Both did so well. It turned out the vast majority of voters like Kris at the end and he won.
Listen to the two of them sing "No Bountries". Absolutly no comparison! Adam is one of the best to ever compete on this show! I am so proud of him, come hell or high water, being one of the best!!! Signed, an old 69 year old Hippie!

Kris was awesome. Thought Adam was a bit of a screamer. Producers actually pushed the rock aspect and tried to denigrate Kris. The only winners of AI are the ones the producers push at the end of it all….and that was Adam. He, indeed has vocal talent,but Kris is a super songwriter and good singer.
And look where are they now: Adam is a worlwide superstar and the frontman of Queen, considered a songwriter, an actor and the best singer of the planet. And the poor Kris singing in cruise ships and litlle bars of 200 people.
