Just wanted to say, I found your channel earlier this week, and started watching at video number one... I have just finished watching all 91 videos, one after another without watching a single other channel.. I'd like to say how impressed I am at the two of you and how hard you have worked over the last two years.. At first I thought you two were a little crazy for picking such a terrible looking boat to restore.. but I think I now see what you saw when you first saw Seabird... it's not just what the boat is, but what the boat will be after you pour your hard work and love into it. P.S.. Now I'm a little sad I will have to wait until each Friday for the next videos to come out.....
Hello 😊 Nice to hear you’ve enjoyed the binge. We wish we could post more often but it’s already quite hard getting one video per week. Thanks for your comment 👍🏼 How did you manage to watch this episode though?… This video isn’t published yet 🤔
@@SailingSeabird I'm not sure, I had "play all" videos on play list turned on, so it just kept starting one video after another. When it started playing this last video I was surprised because it wasn't showing under the play list..
Wow! Time to join the patreon crew! Mariana won’t say but I will! Pay back the entertainment you got , or some other way. They do a great job don’t they ? Cheers Warren
Another great episode. You guys really seem to support each other well, nice that Stewart spent time with friends. Marina, the deck is looking good, you are a hard worker for sure!! My favorite sailing channel.
Marina, you are truly amazing, your work ethic is as good as anyone that I have ever watched doing a major refit. We all love watching you work your magic. Your boat is really starting to look really good. Cheers from Austin, TX
You two are the hardest-working couple I've watched on UA-cam. I love to see the way you overcome obstacles and to us at least you seem to be happily working away at your refit. Take heart that many of us out here in UA-cam land love watching you. Cheers from Downunder.
I really enjoy your guy's videos, I know I won't ever do anything like this so I'm over here living through you. Way impressive seeing how much you guys have learned and overcame. Keep up the good work and when it's done it'll seem like a flash.
I've been a member of the Woodworkers Guild of America for a time and truly believe you and Stewart will thoroughly enjoy their offering. Your so nice to offer this Guild as a promo! Great looking aluminum finish after she dried, looks brand new. Thanks Mart for all your lovely episodes, your the number one channel on Utube and we appreciate all your comment's!
Stu and Marina, you both keep us entertained with the fun comments and work that you show us. Its been a fantastic journey that you have shared. Absolutely, you have done amazing, even though there's a way to go, you have made Seabird look like a different boat from the beginning videos. Keep going, you are doing a wonderful job of your home on the water. Can't wait to see how it goes this week. ❤
It is always nice to meet you. You convey a warm and pleasant atmosphere. It is also nice for us ordinary people to share your thoughts and work and shortcomings. It makes us easily identify with you. Now you have made a long journey and gained great experience. The boat begins to appear in all its glory.
Marina Good things never come easy. Just keep plugging away and your dreams will come true. When you are having a crap day with the boat Just watch the video when you first looked at the boat and how she is now. You two have done an amazing job with her and even though we don't know each other personally I feel part of the family now after all this time watching your videos.
Marina remember a journey of 1000 miles begins with 1 step. I'm sure it is very easy to let doubt creep into your thoughts but just look at how far y'all have come, the boat looks amazing & getting better everyday. We are all cheering y'all on so just keep going. Tally Ho, Arabella, Redivia & Yaba all made it & so can you!!!
Here's some love and some well-wishes. I don't know how much it will help.... I do all the maintenance and repairs on my 37 f. sailboat, alone... and it is hard to stay motivated. When I had a loved one to help and inspire me... it was easier. Slow and steady wins he race. Steady as she goes.
This is the first time I have watched one of your videos and thought yep, these two have really got somewhere. Yes you’ve a long way to go but there’s no stopping you now I think
Hey, you are doing a good job. It's great to see and hear the ease you take in not being experts/pro in the field regarding wood. I hope you can continue calmly in your work and not stress. Kind regards, Peer - I have sailing season 60 here in 2024, good luck
The “hangar” chapter is nearing its close. Nice job Marina, cracking on without your partner Stu. I am so impressed with the persistence you both have, we all know it’s not easy, and that is what makes it more rewarding. Seabird is truly a labor of love. Remember, there is a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow 👍
Hello Marina, I have been on vacation this month and didn't have my computer so I missed your last few videos. Just finished watching this one where you are working by yourself while Stu is out sailing. As always you are doing very very fine work on the deck where the railings and other fittings will be installed. I hope you do not get too lonely while he is gone, just relax and think about the next day's work you will be doing. You both have made lots and lots of progress on the restoration and I am sure you will be very happy when you start sailing your boat to know that everything is in very good condition for enjoyment and safety. Ok, this was a great video and I'm looking forward to seeing the previous ones that I missed while on vacation. Be very careful and don't have any accidents while you are working alone. Ciao. geo
This was another interesting video, of course. You are doing such a good job, and it looks so professional, no, better than professional. Being "amateurs" as you consider yourselves, you don't take the shortcuts and liberties that professionals take. You do everything as exact and perfect as you can get it. I admire you both, you are great.
impressed what you two can do and how well all is done. keep up the good work but also get some time off to relax and have fun and get some new energi.
you guys have transformed that delapited boat into a beautiful sailing boat, from the outside it looks like a million bucks, im sure you will do the same on the inside
I really appreciate your videos. I'm looking at A 1978 Gulfstar 43 similar to yours. That will need a total refit. You really gave me a good perspective on what I can expect.

Irritating that those new filler caps are a bit smaller, but they'll look lovely when they're done. The aluminium varnishing looks awesome, I think that's because of the extremely vigorous shaking. I can't believe Stu would leave you to face that dark, scary hanger alone with just a bended rail for company. What a brute. He'll have some catching up to do when he gets back. Have a great week!
Hey girl try to remind yourself, of when yous said, a little while back, that a Project like this! Is like eating an elephant. Just keep on eating! eventually you'll get there. It's come a long ways and its looking good. don't let yourselves get discouraged you guys got this. Its only a matter of time, Just don't quit you'll get there. cheers.
Off subject, but you can make backing blocks using sardine cans. Just layer in resin and cloth until you get the thickness you desire. Use larger cans for larger projects.

Off subject, but you can make backing blocks using sardine cans. Just layer in resin and cloth until you get the thickness you desire. Use larger cans for larger projects.
