I'm super happy for all the new opportunities and resources you guys have, and love seeing your advanced projects, but sometimes it's really nice to see you guys getting back to your roots with a spectacular, funny, low-budget-friendly video like this one.
Attaching knife to a drill would give you consistent speed turn and also allow you to focus on getting the path steady. And yeah highest frame rate passible is the way to go because th extra inertia you need for the speed also keeps the path smooth and less wobbly

Heey, I bought that exact monitor a couple of months ago and I luuuv it! I no longer have shoulder pains from constantly looking a little bit to the side onto one monitor. I just have my main work window smack in the middle and all other important work stuff (youtube, netflix, 9gag, reddit) on sides. Oh, and playing Cities Skylines on that thing is a.m.a.z.i.n.g!

This was great.. one thing tho… In the intro you can tell you were not following the knife cause your eyes stop motion rather than a smooth follow on the knife.
Nice lil trick, you should mvoe something behind the camera in the scene where hes following the knife with his eyes. eyes move smoothly when following something, but stutter when they move from thing to thing.

The knife in the shot passing by his face looks strange. I think it's because you're comping a knife spinning in the same spot relative to the camera and moving it across the frame... where you'd normally also have angle differences of the light when it's on the left side of frame and when it's on the right side of frame that now gets completely lost making the Knife look like it's not interacting correctly. Think spinning it in place but also moving the camera right to left to add that knife relative to camera would fix that (instead of moving the knife, that was an issue with walking bumps).
🗣️ can you tell me is there many Hollywood actors like Steven Seagal and Jason Statham, are they can really do throw knife or they did that help by CGI technologi to look good.....
so for the shot where the knife is rotating here;s two way of doing it: 1. all you need is 4 C-Stands and two pieces of EMT tubing. Set the C-Stands about 2 feet from each other across the distance you want the knife to fly through the frame, then use a piece of AL. tubing with a magnet inset into the end stick that on the knife and then lay that piece of tubing across the two pieces of EMT tubing then simply roll the AL tubing along the EMT tubing to have a very clean and level rotation across your lens field of view. you can thank me later... 2. to simply this even more, use two jack stand with the ability to give the height you need the knives flight path and lay a 2X8 on them with the length you need, then roll the AL tubing with the end magnet along the 2X8 down the length of the board.

What would you have to do if you wanted to put the reflection of the actor in the knife?

Should have glued it to a fidget spinner on a stick… smoother spin with ability to twist faster if needed.
