Dear csopsrs: I never had success, keeping Ceratophyllum demersum, though I’ve acquired some, several times. I gave all my driftwood (Malaysian and Mopani) away, in favor of local rocks (which I tested, to ensure they are aquarium-safe). I’ve found that driftwood encourages blackbeard algae (Audouinella). Try using Stanley knife blades instead their much safer and not flexible.
