And after a while you can work on points for style Like the club tie and a firm handshake A certain look in the eye and an easy smile You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to So that when they turn their backs on you You'll get the chance to put the knife in You gotta keep one eye looking over your shoulder You know it's gonna get harder harder and harder as you get older Yeah, and in the end, you'll pack up and fly down south Hide your head in the sand Just another sad old man All alone and dying of cancer
You gotta be crazy, you gotta have a real need You gotta sleep on your toes, and when you're on the street You gotta be able to pick out the easy meat with your eyes closed And then moving in silently, down wind and out of sight You gotta strike when the moment is right without thinking And after a while, you can work on points for style Like the club tie, and the firm handshake A certain look in the eye and an easy smile You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to So that when they turn their backs on you, You'll get the chance to put the knife in You gotta keep one eye looking over your shoulder You know it's going to get harder, and harder, and harder as you get older And in the end you'll pack up and fly down south Hide your head in the sand, Just another sad old man All alone and dying of cancer And when you loose control, you'll reap the harvest you have sown And as the fear grows, the bad blood slows and turns to stone And it's too late to lose the weight you used to need to throw around So have a good drown, as you go down, all alone Dragged down by the stone (stone, stone, stone, stone, stone) I gotta admit that I'm a little bit confused Sometimes it seems to me as if I'm just being used Gotta stay awake, gotta try and shake off this creeping malaise If I don't stand my own ground, how can I find my way out of this maze? Deaf, dumb, and blind, you just keep on pretending That everyone's expendable and no-one has a real friend And it seems to you the thing to do would be to isolate the winner And everything's done under the sun And you believe at heart, everyone's a killer Who was born in a house full of pain Who was trained not to spit in the fan Who was told what to do by the man Who was broken by trained personnel Who was fitted with collar and chain Who was given a pat on the back Who was breaking away from the pack Who was only a stranger at home Who was ground down in the end Who was found dead on the phone Who was dragged down by the stone
It's the same as before, just playing ontop of the DM9 chords. dm/a am is like the entire rhodes section. Theres also some weird note combination that you hear after the main dm am thingy. I just play am again but move my thumbs down to f hitting basically every key before a. On your left hand you play octave Ds (you hit them at the same time before you hit the A from the DM, kinda following the bass guitar). Theres also the part before you go into the synth solo that goes A#maj/F, C, A#Maj root pos, C , A#Maj/D, C, A#Maj/F, C. You do the same thing right before the section ends but stop at the C after the root position and instead hit d minor and A chord. Then its A,F,Em,Dm (i think It is anyways, sounds right when i play it so whatever.) Thats basically the entire electric piano part of this song
Awesome! Finally someone made a good one. Thank you! My timing with the strumming of the main chords is so off ... trying to play it with a Tele btw like David did live in '77.
nice backing track bro, but the guitar bendings are out of tune so It doesn't work when I try to record the guitar harmonies. It would be good if you can upload it without guitar. Thank you anyway for this awesome backing track.
this is great, but why did you cut the acoustic guitar, but leave in the clean electric guitar rhythm? if anything I'd be playing that as it's easier to switch from clean electric to distorted electric than acoustic to electric, and also it's easier to sing while playing those electric fills as it's just a few notes between vocals, and much harder to sing with that weird strumming pattern of down-down up, down-down up that is independent of the melody of the vocals
The bass woww just perfect!

Thanks for taking the time to do this
Very much so
nice one...i always wanted to learn those solos, they are legend..thank you for this

Great job man. I would be grateful if you could write the chord progression for the keyboard after 6:45.

Same struggle. Any improvements?
@@jogabrielcosta4788 Haven't played it in months ... maybe I have improved by now :D
Practice practice practice. Took me 8 months to get properly
@@Perfectly-unperfectly yeah, although live he played it different with less or no palm muting at all. I guess because he had to sing as well as.

Is it possible to make the time marks in the beginning?

Great job! Mind if I use it to make a guitar cover on my channel? I'll give you credits and put on a link on the description.
