2,500 for a 650g chain is outrageous. 999 silver is 28 dollars for 31grams 1 troy ounce from apmex so that means your charging 2000 to make the chain because there only about 560 dollars in silver the chains are really nice but the better deal is a gold chain .look im not saying the chain should only cost the amount of the silver all im saying is 2000 is rediculous for labor 1000 maybe .

@@roseary9198 not really that difficult to make as long as you have the materials ive had 8yrs exp in metal shop and 18 yrs wood working once the skills are homed in its not as difficult as you would think but the price you would pay from theae shops in miami are alot better than you would pay from a large retailer.
You are correct but we use pure silver mixed with very little alloy to ensure the purest silver possible 925 ensures the metal is harder, when you work with silver it has a tendency to twist and break especially when making the "Cuban link" style chain. Therefore we use 999 silver and bring it to purity 950 at best. On our gold over silver chains we make the metal stronger by applying very thick coats of pure 24k gold and then locking it down with 14 k gold. As you may know already 24k gold in itself is very soft on its own. with that being the case it bonds better with pure silver and allows the coating to be stronger. in conclusion, you are correct the purer the silver the softer it is. It is harder work for the individual handmaking the chain but allows the consumer to purchase a silver piece with higher purity. I just bought a 14mm 999 silver miami cuban link bracelet from a seller called omni-auction on Ebay. Pure silver is more expensive than 925 sterling silver and it never tarnishes. U will never need to rhodium plate and replate or even clean with pure silver with any silver cleaner ever. All da reviews are praising da seller. People who bought da 999 silver jewelry from thiz seller have reviewed again after months saying that da Miami cuban link chains and bracelets still look brand new and have not at all tarnished. I waited 2 years to earn some money because pure 999 silver is more expensive than 925 sterling silver and now im finally gettin my pure silver bracelet by next week or end of da month. Just wanted to Mention im from germany and i got scammed from this company so dont Order online espacially if Its Outside the US, i Transfered the money via paypal and paypal confirmed it went in Their Account but my Order wasnt payed and when i called there they Said there had Been no new paypal entrys, but luckily i got the proof from paypal is was there so dont get scammed i think only Their store in the US is legit
10k gold jewelry is actually very normal in America. Another example I heard is in the UK, 9k gold is normal to them. 10k n 14k is how they do it in America

I forget, maybe 27 grams or 32g, basically $1,012 to $1,200 USD gold value, and they wanted above $3,000 USD, I think $3,200, for a chain that has 1k worth in gold value, paying $2,000+ extra, so that chain had over a 200% premium as an example, cuz US overhead is not cheap Americans got money, so plenty of people DGAF or dont know bout them premiums, and people will gladly pay a 200% - 300%+ premium for a 10k chain, that is the American way 🇺🇸 👏 😂
