I remember that tale where ares and hades betrayed Zeus and trapped him with an unbreakable chain and it put the world into chaos after a time Zeus escaped (I don’t remember whether it was with or without help) and when he got free all the other gods cowered in fear and so I feel like Zeus is extremely strong even compared to the other gods

P.S. I find it strange that Cerberus wasn't defending his master. Also, Ares wouldn't just be sending in henchmen to invade cities. Ares enjoys conflict and war, he would not only start it himself, but finish it himself.
