He's right, high Rev bowlers don't need help with down lane motion. But I needs HELP! 😂

Awsome info Rob! I guess layouts do matter! It’s something I can do for my boys in there arsenal. My right hander is always chasing left. Keep the vids coming!

So much incredible information in this video. I find it really helpful getting a glimpse into your mind. Identifying problems and coming up with solutions can be really hard. Thank you for sharing what you have learned.

Great video. I have a heavier early roll and struggle with many of the same things you mentioned, misses left/right (fast feet), pin ups being a bit touchy (over/under) and pin down to early and tend to roll out but I like the more controlled shape. I shared this video with Palmer Falgren while practicing together recently. As noted it is slightly difficult to understand though due to mic issues but reading the transcript does helps. I'm certain you will dial things in and make your presence known on the pba50 tour!

Great video.....I've slowed down in my old age, but am still Rev dominant.....I can only throw urethane now and sometimes it hooks too much....I'm going to try some of these patterns on urethane and reactive....would love to start throwing reactive again..................oh, I'm 60.

Same problem here! Also 60, rev rate in the lower half of 400, but with my ball speed at 11 - 12 mph also Rev-dominant. I find the pin down layouts still very useful depending on what the pattern is and age/type of lanes. IMHO, these types of layouts would help getting back into reactive, especially if you choose one or two of the mid-strength core types (say 0.31 Diff) as they would calm the break point reaction also along with the layout.

This is a great video on how layouts do matter, there is a particular UA-cam influencer that has said layouts don't matter, not sure he's familiar with all the different kinds of layouts that can be used.

I know who you are tallking about. I had conversations with him on a couple sites. UA-cam and FB. He continues to say layouts don't matter. Yet it is obvious they do.

I really didn't take it as universal. Layouts matter more on patterns vs your typical high ratio house shot

@@michaeljamrozy4299 ask Bob if he's going to use these balls with these layout's on his local house pattern? Even though the house shot is a softer shot, the shape of the ball and how you view it going down the lane makes a difference, it's the type of thing that gives you confidence in the piece of equipment you are throwing and makes you more comfortable doing that.

Hi Robert, great to see you bowling competitively again. Would like to suggest that you throw your normal pin-up layout against the new layouts so that the audience can visually see the difference. Good luck to you in the Senior Masters and Senior US Open.

I’m nowhere near the same caliber. That being said, I felt somewhat the same towards the end of league season. I’d get pushed left, but then my ball would miss the break point because of the traffic. Maybe going to a layout like these to be able to play more in the track area. Great intel!!!!

I just started a sport league. I'm coming off a solid season on house shot. I'm trying to figure out adapting surfaces and what not for sport. I think I don't have a clue regarding what layouts would suit me on harder shots. Robert, what are a couple of these layouts here and what is your rev rate these days?

Incredible video, Maximum Bob. You have a real knack with language. Excellent job sharing with us your problems, and how you worked on solutions for your particular game.
I'm a rev and speed matched player, would the PSA in thumb or near my axis work in a similar way? I'm around 375rpm and 20mph off my hand (around 16mph at the pins).

What balls would be best to try these on? Asym or Sym? I am trying to figure out which of the 3 layouts to try. 1 had psa past the track and 1 had it in the thumb and one went the other way and put it by the PAP. All three make that measurement really weak, probably which calms the back end. Love the idea!

Mic is fine, lessons learned on not checking if the equipment was working prior to and after recording, salvaged what I could with audio editing , you should hear the original.
