I feel like the Venn diagram of people who REALLY loved the first Joker movie, and people who REALLY love Lady Gaga and movie musicals is not a large cross section, so I guess my biggest question is "Who on earth was this supposed to be for?"

(I know that said fans, in particular, are fuming at this statement, but I stand by it.) Edited to directly answer the OP's question: Presumably, this movie was supposed to be for people who like Lady Gaga and musicals and liked the idea of adding both of those to a movie about Joaqin Phoenix's Joker. I just thinks its fascinating to take a movie that uses the ambiguity of whats real as a huge selling point and then make the sequel delegating specifically what was and was not real.
Because DC barely even acknowledges their early relationship in comic books anymore, now that Harley is like the 4th highest selling DC character or whatever.

It's more like they abused the Joker out of him. It's really weird. You could argue the point is that he never was the Joker to begin with, but it's still weird. Then again, the whole Batman franchise is still stuck in the 1920s with regards to mental health issues.

I'm thinking King in black would refer to kingpin, maybe he's working up a sinister six? He's been active in the city for some time it would make sense Peter started running into his thugs when he started focusing on street level things after no way home
That was the original plan, a street level story with Kingpin and Daredevil but Sony wants to push their magnificent SPUM hence Knull. I doubt Feige wants Sony Venom anywhere near MCU but there was a new deal between Disney and Sony so who knows.
How selfish. The studio gave Todd a ton of money to make an auteur film based on the strength of the direction he took the first film in, which has been something that many comic (and general) fans have been saying there needs to be more of (less Marvel formula) and he goes and does this mess, making the case to studio heads that they should never give a director money to make an unformulaic film again.
It was a standalone movie, no need or room for a sequel. That was the vision for it. It isn’t like the director has control over the property, the biggest form of protest he has is not taking a paycheck or being involved with the movie. Both of which don’t benefit him at all. They would make it without him or any of his creative input and just pay someone else. The fault is with the studio for viewing everything as a tent pole.
Superhero movie fans wanted more remakes of the 70-80s movies as a superhero movies? So I guess next is the story of Frank Castle, a vigiliante cop, visits his wife's company Christmas Eve party at Nakatomi Plaza when a group of terrorists led by Helmut Zemo takes over the building and kills his wife and their children. Now Frank is going to punish Zemo and his goons.

Idk why this movie is getting so much hate I felt like it was a worthy sequel expanding on everything from the 1st but the real kicker is how it was reflective of how ppl are treating this movie how it ended
Joker 2: Folie Aux Poo
Just started and I wonder if joker 2 will be so bad that it kills James’s favorite joke?
Or will he just do is it joker or joker 2
"Everyone has the potential to be a Joker. Yes Arthur Fleck, even you may one day be a Joker too. Folie à deux"
I feel you guys flawlessly vocalized how I felt about this movie but I'd been struggling to put into words exactly
Hey Maso, idk if you’re pronouncing Surabhi right.
Unless that is how she wants it to be pronounced.
Don’t think anyone cares
@@RetroBacon1 guy with cool apathy!! Rad! Tubular even
I'm thinking King in black would refer to kingpin, maybe he's working up a sinister six? He's been active in the city for some time it would make sense Peter started running into his thugs when he started focusing on street level things after no way home
That was the original plan, a street level story with Kingpin and Daredevil but Sony wants to push their magnificent SPUM hence Knull. I doubt Feige wants Sony Venom anywhere near MCU but there was a new deal between Disney and Sony so who knows.
Reacher should play beast in xmen
I can't believe that they trashed Batgirl but released this garbage lol
I can't wait to see what Filmento says about this.
I'm curious to see if there was any studio meddling. The trailer has multiple scenes that are nowhere to be seen in the movie
