Our dear Tracey is a fantastic character actress, up there with the greats like Peter Sellers, Lily Tomlin, Jonathan Winters, Carol Burnett, Martin Short. She becomes the person she is playing. And of course she has only the best makeup, wardrobe and wig artists. I have loved her many talents since her variety show on Fox TV in spring of 1987. Now _that_ show will never see streaming or home media because they used so many pop and rock songs during its run. Such a pity it won't be available. I looked it up and this episode here is from January 18, 1998; I had never seen the series "Tracey Takes On" because my household didn't have HBO at the time--- so I am enjoying the comedy here on YT.
You wouldn't think that intro would work on a show like this, even though it's a song she actually sang (a cover) and released herself. But the way it's done, with all the characters she plays in the show lip-syncing the song, in character, it kind of works, and works really well. I actually like it a lot better than the intro to the show she did with James L. Brooks that gave us The Simpsons, because it's personal. It's her. I'm not a huge fan of British comedians dumbing down their comedy for American audiences, but it's Tracey Ullman. She pulls it off. Unless you're that guy from 50 Shades, someone from the UK can probably do American better than an American can do British. Watch Renee Zellweger if you don't believe me. Having grown up on British television, the mannerisms and the methodology are different. If an American does British, you can often instantly tell they're not from the UK because at best, all they can do is an impression of the accent. When Tracey plays an American, she comes off as American, not a British person cosplaying with American stereotypes or what British people think Americans are. When it goes the other way, that's usually all it is.
Cheech! (and/ or Chong, I don't know the diff)\ Bob Flossy- got it. "You know, if you run down the street with your head on fire.... People will get out of the way"...
I just spilt a bottle with my new phone for a while ago it came out of my fridge for me and I just had a good time to go and then I had to go back and forth and then go back and forth with my new friend and then my new year is over again again and again again I’m just spilt over
I hate to hear people making issue over smoking. The subject is so over harped on. Either you smoke or you don't. Those of us who do not hate any contact with those who do simply because of the grossly irritating order. But if you want to smoke, fine, just don't do it in my world. For those who shot and fast, fine. Just don't do it near me. But let's don't talk about it.
“My world”? Give me a break. The first problem you have is that this isn’t your world and it never will be. You share it with nearly 8 billion other people. Being an adult is partially about understanding that life isn’t perfect and minor inconveniences like smelling smoke shouldn’t be a major issue. You’re the one making it a big deal, not me, not anyone else. I think you need to get over yourself because no one really cares......
it's like with everything, one should not abuse it, my aunt smokes a couple per week, some times she'll be skipping the week w/o a smoke, then next week she'll meet her girlfriends for coffe and have one or 2
"I'm gonna finish this Cigarette if it kills me!" 😅
Thank you George for these videos. We have been pissing ourselves. Kay is our favourite, watching her getting high whilst being high was just superb.

Forget a “triple threat.” Tracey is a quadruple threat at the very least. There’s nothing she can’t do, and do well.
This would make a good movie.

I hope you have given up by now Tracy.
Nope and she will never!
She said at the beginning, “I gave up smoking because I live in California and there are no ashtrays in the state...”
just last night at dinner she said tell Maggie to kiss my British tuccus
