  • In this video I share how to create a unique UX/UI design case study using my wearable design nonprofit project, how I structured it, and the overall design process. This is one of two projects I shared during my interview, the other one being the Adobe internship project I've shared in one of my previous videos.

    Hey, this project was so impressive. Before watching that I didn't have any idea that...this kinda nice project can be the part of UI/UX case study. Thanks for sharing with us. Please share more project with us.❤

      Thanks so much! I think that most of the UX content you see online is focused around apps / web design but UX is honestly about any human to X relationship and making that experience as human-centered as possible, could be architecture, interior design, industrial design, exhibition design all of those fields deal with human experience to some extent. And, I will, I have a couple more projects to share. 😁

    Hi! thank you so much for your videos, they have been immensely helpful! I had a few inquiries: i often get stuck in a loop of restructuring my case study on what to include for so long i feel like i never get on to the actual design of the product... anything to help with that? :( im never sure on what to prioritise!

    • @rahpstudio

      Hi! You're very welcome. I totally understand, it even happens to me, that's why I still haven't updated my portfolio haha So, if you're running into this issue, I would look at your case study from a high level and focus on each phase of the design process (pick your favorite methodology like the double diamond). I would make sure that your case study has an example for each phase so, let's say, for discovery and research have some user interviews, for iterate some wireframes, etc and that way you can constrain yourself and keep making progress towards the finished design. Hope this helps!

    Hiiii👋👋thank you for your great video!!! I'm curious, so I'm leaving a comment. I'm a designer with three years of experience working in-house at a pharmaceutical company, plus an additional 1-2 years of freelance experience. I'm currently looking for a junior position but facing some challenges. When creating my portfolio, should I focus on similar domains like pharmaceuticals, health, or wellness? I ask this question because I'm in Canada, where there is a higher demand for UX designers in sectors such as real estate, insurance, and banking. I would like to hear your opinion !! 🙏🙏

    Hey Ricardo! This was such an amazing project you shared! Thank you for your insights!
    What if instead of interaction design my interest is more towards the visual design? Are there many job roles for visual design in the current market?
    Also how to go about such projects that you have shown if you have no knowledge whatsoever of circuits and breadboards , arduino etc (whatever was used sorry )

    What would research look like for someone who's working remotely? For example, do companies typically have a pool of clients that designers reach out to? I guess what I'm asking is, how would I find a group of people to conduct research as a remote designer?
    Thank you!

    • @rahpstudio
      @rahpstudio  4 місяці тому +2

      Hi! So large companies usually have a research team that works with an external recruiting vendor that helps them find research participants and for smaller companies, they often use services like Usertesting.com to test designs where you can set the criteria, the questions, the type of study, etc. Usertesting.com is also a great way to test your designs for your case studies, depending on how much they charge. Hope this helps!

      Hahaha BECAUSE I'M BROKE! jk jk you'd be surprised how much money I spent when I was networking in UX (before Google and before having my first UX job) buying designers coffee to get to know them and build connections. Nobody needs to buy me coffee but definitely helps me stay caffeinated while I make all of this free content for you all in my spare time 😉
