Thank you for this video! Super adorable! I just got my Cosclay Deco last week! I too wish you could do voice-over but understand there is only so much time!
I will eventually get to do so much more, including step by step tutorials. I’m hoping to cut back a little at work but that’s still a little ways away. You’re going to love Cosclay! ❤️
These are beautiful!. I've made tiny mushrooms and will try making a fairy mushroom. Glad I have the pasta maker to make the thin layers of clay for this tutorial. My 15-year-old daughter is amazing with the dry paint technique you are using and she will help me with that! Will definitely subscribe to your channel.
🍄Ohhh... these are absolutely gorgeous and thank you for creating this video. I'm going to start making these beautiful little shrooms asap. My daughter just made the cutest mushroom hat for Halloween, so we're a mushroom loving family! These creations are just amazing🍄
Mushrooms are great cause they are best with imperfections that makes it a fun project. I will have to revisit these mushrooms there are just too many color combinations and shapes to not make more. Have fun with your daughter. ❤️
@@meganbritt8096 I’m helping with a game room set up right now, so I’m stuck on a video game theme for a little longer but after that I will make some step by step tutorials.
I seem to have no luck painting polymer clay. Love your work. I also turn sound off. I understand why you use music. Just miss human voice. Kinda like the phone. Never get a human. Your work is impeccable. Love the talent in the world!
Aww, it’s hard for me to voice over. I live in a noisy world with my dog and kids. It takes me forever to do a soundbite that isn’t interrupted by someone. I really appreciate all your kind words ❤️
I haven’t worked much with air dry clay and probably didn’t get the best kind so some of my attempts have cracked a little. It might have been something I was doing wrong though. Sorry I couldn’t be more help
I love mushrooms in real life nature as well as magical creatures, and these little mushroom fairies are adorable and so lifelike! I love your choice of music as well. You are very talented! I am hosting a series of Christmas movie themed collaborations you should join!
Are you painting the whole thing in black acrylic paint before going on to add the other layers of color or is that brown paint? It's hard to tell in the video. I loved this video and I need to try this method with the foil I've seen it many times but never tried it. I too love things with imperfections!
@@awaitesart Thanks for your quick response, my greatgrand children and I want to try this in the next day or two. Your work is beautiful, we were all in awe of it.
for the cap on the 1st mushroom, the underside looks pretty thick to slice into with the razor knife or is that just the clay you folded under??? And were the stems cosclay? The caps? help please?
It's not super thick but thick enough to really texturize with the razor. There's a good amount of tin foil it's built on. I made the stem Polymer clay because I wanted a solid base, not flexible, the rest is Cosclay. Hope this helps
Your mushrooms are wonderful ! I wish you either told us or had captions telling each step to do to make them . Everyone is choosing to add music instead of actually speaking . I turn off sound as it distracts me from learning. I really want to learn how
Hi Elisabeth, thank you and I appreciate the input. I have a few videos where I go more in depth. Unfortunately this is not my day job and voice overs and edits take up an entire day or more sometimes. So until I am fortunate enough to have a paid channel I try to do the best I can. I often times want to inspire your imagination by giving you the structural details and basic materials to get you started. The best advice from personal experience is to make mistakes, that is how I learned and am still learning.
Anything I heavily texture usually has small pieces break off when I use Polymer, so I did the entire mushroom cap in Cosclay. Just the stem and the base are polymer.
@@awaitesart would it be possible to do the whole thing in cosclay, or would that impact the structural integrity of the piece? do you bake them all at once at the same temperature? What brand polymer? Sorry, I'm very very interested this looks beautiful
@@amari6229 I used the super sculpey Polymer. I have done a whole piece in cosclay but because the base is fairly thin it was too flexible, a little wobbly. I used sculpey this time so it’s sturdier. You can bake both at the same time, same temp 275/25-30 min. But make sure you pre-heat first. Cosclay is very heat sensitive, does best in an oven not toaster oven. It will still turn out okay if that’s all you have. When I first used Cosclay I didn’t pre-heat and used a toaster oven, it turned out less flexible and more fragile. Similar to regular Polymer. I always let it cool completely before I touch it. Hope this helps
the design of these mushrooms is absolutely too freaking cute!! it's like tim burton meets alice in wonderland vibes. love it love it!!

Yes, it is a bake clay
Brilliant, amazing. They are adorable I love them. I have learnt so much from this tutorial, thank you so much for sharing.
These are fun to make and I love anything with imperfections, they always turn out great without having to be perfect.
HOW DID YOU BAKE THE MUSHROOM! placement in the oven has been the bane of my existence
Just bunch up tin foil around your piece to stabilize and give support
Wow, brilliant,😀
super fun to make
Love it

how long and at what temp did you bake?
I bake according to manufacturer recommendations. 25 min at 275, preheat oven.

Hi! I hace a doubt ...to paint on top of the black Acrylic, did you wait for it to dry or did you paint the second color fresh? Thank you so much!
I let it dry and then dry brush the next layers

I use a very dark brown. I have used black in the past but brown has more warmth and doesn’t look so matte. Glad you liked it.❤️

Beautiful! Can I ask how much clay it took to make all of the mushrooms?
I used just less than a block and a half of Cosclay and thank you ❤️
