- Come along for the ride…and walk… with me and my singlespeed on my Colorado Trail Adventure! It was filled with highs, lows, amazing views, good weather, bad weather, dropping things and crashing! For this race, my focus was on enjoying the ride which included getting 5 hours of sleep a night.
This was my last race in the Triple Crown of Bikepacking, all on my singlespeed! I finished the Tour Divide in 2016, the Arizona Trail Race 750 in 2018, now the Colorado Trail! I was excited to get out there and finish this!
Bike: Kona Unit X with 30x24 gear ratio
Bags: Revelate and Thief
Lights: Fenix
Navigation: Garmin eTrex30
Sponsors: Wife and family
Much respect! On single speed no less, wow!

Dean. You are so inspiring on your journeys. I love following. ❤
Thank you!
Really impressive ride. Right up there with that long winter ride you did. Great job capturing the footage and putting together this edit.
Thank you and thanks for watching!!
Great recap! Really enjoyed it - gave me wanderlust!
Thanks! The Colorado Trail is a good one to experience!

WOW!! Amazing video Dean 🤩 such an inspiring collection of moments captured!! Congratulations on your Triple Crown!!🎉
Thanks so much Trish!! It was a good feeling to get it done!
Incredible and challenging adventure. Loosing a wallet in the middle of this long ride could cut off all supplies and end it. Nicely captured story 👍.
Thanks! My heart dropped at that moment and was even more lifted up when Josh rolled up with the wallet. Amazing experience!
Such a unreal adventure. You're a legend Dean. I'm so impressed with the beautiful shots you got, and your ability to document the low points and exhaustion.
I loved following along with the daily IG updates, and now seeing the complete journey it's so much richer. Congrats on an incredible ride!
Thanks so much! There was lots of exhaustion to be had on this one. 😆
Dean! What an incredible adventure! You’ve got stones man. Respect! Great edit too!
Thank you so much!! We'll have to get out for a ride sometime!
Awesome work sir!!💪🤙🏼🚵🏻♂️
Thanks so much! And thanks for watching! 🙏
congrats on the triple crown!
Thanks! So fulfilling to get it done!
Well done sir! Inspiring!
Very nice video. I am curios on how much travel on your fork?
Thanks! My Fox Stepcast has 100mm of travel. More might have been nice but it worked well for me. 👍
@@andersonsoutside Thanks, I m thinking about upgrading my Kona Unit with a suspension fork. Great inspirational video!
Nice job!
What gearing were you using?
Thanks!! I used 30x24 and it worked pretty well for me. I was able to ride lots of the single-track and the only tedious parts were the wilderness detours where I would spin out.
Try hiking it next time SOBO and see the parts you missed.
Good idea! Hiking it would be amazing!
A single speed¿. Why?
If your looking for greater difficulty, have you got no unicycle?
Haha! A unicycle would be interesting!
Congrats ! Just watched and will see if you have other videos … mind if I ask what video camera you used? GoPro? Version ?
Ps .. I’ve learned that it’s almost impossible to fall asleep while eating … so I eat small snacks while biking tired and or driving
Thanks! I used a GoPro Hero 11 with some deadcats over the mics. It worked great! I done the eating thing too to stay awake. It works well!
