The past 2 trips I was registered with etravel and never asked for my QR.... like you said it was linked to my passport and already in the system. Very smooth process. Maybe it is just me because I come and go often, but they seem less concerned with my itinerary and onward ticket?

We just renewed our Visa after 14 months but just got 2 months because we wanted to have our 6 months not expire in the busy season. The Makati office said we had to go to the Manila office when we wanted to get our 6 month extension when our 2 month expired. We are now confused after emailing JR consultants.
It would not let me register until it was 3 days from the time and date I landed in the Philippines, NOT 72 hours before my flight LEFT from the United States.... keep that in mind... !!!!

Immigration wont find an issue with that. If they ask say you will extend your stay before the 30 days end. Its your airline that may want a return/onward ticket within 30 days.

I will be travelling to the Phillipines next year and I want to understand how long before my international and domestic flights (Coron) I should be at the airport in Manila, because all I see online is people talking about having to be at NAIA airport 5-6hours before a flight, due to long lines.. is this advice only for philippines citizens or does EVERYONE need to be there that long before a flight? With the E-travel QR codes I would suppose 2 hours would be sufficient for domestic and international but idk....

Thank you for pointing out that both passports of dual citizens need to be presented and stamped. Is that for both during arrival and departure? On that note, are departing dual citizens considered or treated as foreigners (eTravel not required) or PH citizens (eTravel required)?

@James - Lily is correct. She will need a US visa prior to needing a CFO certificate or Affidavit of Support. Wairing time (for visa interview) is 3 to 6 months after one has paid the visa fee - depends on availability of slots.

I was through Manila a couple weeks back and about 20% of the foreigners were turned away at the immigration cubicles to register and get the QR code.

We arrived in Manila (NAIA terminal 3) from Sydney on Wednesday 7/12. We had our QR codes ready. They never asked for it! 😮
Depends on the officer I think. I arrived Nov 22 same terminal and was asked. Best to be safe and just do it.

According to immigration, e travel is also required for ALL departures for everyone, not just Filipino. You stated Filipino only for departures
PH has no business to know where a foreigner will go to next after leaving PH. Only PH passport holders are required to register when leaving PH.

When u go out off airplane they already check ur e-travel to go back not necessary for foreigner to have registration

If you used your PH passport to enter PH, then yes you'll also need to do e-travel for departure.

Only if you use your PH passport when you entered PH - as that will require you to use it going out of PH hence the need to register.

Sounds like a headache, and why not just stick to the normal arrival and and departure card still? Y fix something thats nit broken???
They have phased out the paper based arrival & departure cards with the e-travel registration system. Brought about by covid & modernization.

yes, you have to register again for departure. QR code will be sent in your email.

If you present pH passport when entering PH, you must present it going out of PH - hence the need for etravel registration when leaving PH.

Yes, as a tourist you'll need to be stamped out of PH. E-gates are for PH citizens only (for now).

You don't just need to register there, you WANT to register there. The QR code makes immigration so much quicker.

Your visa ends upon exit of the country.
You need another onward ticket as well.

If you are a Filipino citizen, you can stay indefinitely in PH. PH immigration has no right to restrict you to enter your own country.
