I bet you the people inside the parliament had know idea how good this piece of music was until he played it. The guy who is playing the erhu knows he just amazed the people listening great combination of west and Chinese music.
I was in the Hangzhou Night Market one time and there was this kid learning this from their teacher. Right out in the middle of everyone. The kid had chops too.
God damn, I am Chinese, and erhu play was really common in my hometown when i was a child. But only in my mid-20s, when tradition starts fading. I just find that this art is soooo beautiful and players are sooooo talented.
Wow that was so brilliant and in the zone that It gave me goosebumps. The audience was too stunned to give a standing ovation so the players had to do it themselves, lol.
The violin can do the same sort of things, it is also a fretless stringed instrument... what differs is the style of the music not so much the instrument. They overlap and yet have some distinctiveness.
Disagree . While i do prefer the sound of erhu than the violin, you just can’t say “it’s more soulful” especially if you hear various instruments played by the respective masters of them, you’ll change your mind
I think in this song, the erhu is the horse while the violin and cello is the situation the horse is currently in. So maybe it has more soul because the horse in this song is suppose to "galloping". I think the combination of east and west is beautiful.
The erhu player is goddamn incredible. Ive never heard this piece played with such a level of passion and intensity. He made that horse come to life.
When the East meet the West it sound world of beauty in harmony...Amazing
I just watched an TwoSetViolin video about this song and I never imagined that it could be performed like this
it aint the same piece actually
@@cv6567 Are they two separate pieces with a similar title? I know there are many renditions of the Horse Racing solo based off of "Red Flag."
@@johnsannicolas2015 yeah they are two different pieces but similar name
c v Yeah, I’d rather call this “Galloping Warhorses Sonata”

Eastern and western music matches sooooo good ❤️
when a chinese horse gets lost and wanders into a horse race
是的 中国马跑了第一名( yes , a chinese horse ran the 1st in this race ) hahaha
and then the chinese horse won
That sync at 3:24 without a conductor is amazing.
The ehru guy is conducting, with his neck
It's just a quartet, having conductor is such a waste, They just follow the concert master and the soloist
I used to be able to play Horse Racing (badly) it on the erhu and this is the best rendition I have ever heard.
The horses are galloping towards a glorious sun-soaked prairie.

2:59 I bet no one there knew this melody comes from the Chinese Army brass commanding for a charge.
I think and 3:20 is also the Canadian bugle command for "Alert"
Beautiful sound. like it very much/ Thank you all.
Powerful and beautiful, wow
If there was a Nue statue in the background it would be perfect.
Bravo, Mr. Gao!
Chinese version of flight of the bumblebee
Awesome!
真棒,听得起了鸡皮疙瘩!
Does anyone know the name of the arrangement? I would like to see the score, and perhaps program it. Please let me know!!!
中国的表演都不用看谱的。完美
Did you catch the whinny @3:17?
Вельмі прыгожа! асабліва ўсмешка выканаўцы! )))
Dose anyone know the name of this erhu performer?
George gao
Gap Shaoqing
this song is , not !
it is not
Oh god... Now i want to play Pandaria so hard... :D
The Erhu has more soul to it, it cries out the sound of life, the violin however is too calculated.

The quartet **could** certainly do it if they wish to. But it’s not their place to outshine the soloist here.
Who else is here because of TwoSet Violen?
💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
This should be sampled.
2018 hehe
Excellent
whats the real name of this song?
