Information Oscar at KLAX
I'm Glad they have that voice it reminds me of Steven hawking every time I get the atis at LAX and Ontario.
I hate robot ATIS. We’ve got Siri and Alexa on our phones, but still got Speak and Spell man doing the ATIS. Much preferred the human voice. At STN back in my youth the evening ATIS usually picked the controllers fav TV programme too.
LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT INFORMATION O 2353Z WIND 260@13KTS VISIBILITY 10 FEW80 TEMPERATURE21 DEW13 A2984 REMARKS (okay, you got me here XD XD)
I've always wondered why LAX puts out "Upon receipt of your ATC clearance, readback only your callsign and transponder code unless you have a question." That's pretty non-standard, and could lead to errors caused by incomplete radio transmissions, etc. As for the "robot" voice, the ones in the rest of the world outside the USA are much easier to understand and more pleasant to listen to, IMO.
Airport and Hawthorne airport. Simultaneous implement departure in progress runways 24 and 25, Notices to airmen: Taxiways tango and sierra closed between bravo and charlie. Taxiways sierra and quebec closed between delta and echo, taxiway delta closed between quebec and sierra. Use caution for numerous cranes(cant make next statement). Category 2 and 3 approaches to runway 24 right not authorized. Intentional aircraft information for Los Angeles international area available from flightwatch

So LAX actually uses Microsoft Sam as the ATIS voice!
Im pretty sure its the DECtalk Harry voice.
The voice is DECtalk Harry
I wish my airport read out the ATIS a bit slower. This one sounds a little too slow, but then again I'm used to listening to what sounds like an auctioneer giving the ATIS.
I understood about 95% of it...i think if you know the format and whats coming up next you can understand the robot language a little better..
Student pilot here trying to glean what I can. Can one of you more experienced guys write up the transcript? I caught the first few pieces, but got a little lost down the line. Can someone please post the full audio transcript (or at least the METAR he appears to be reading it from) somewhere in the comments?
or flight service station. read back all runway hold short instruction. Upon receive of your atc clearance read back only your call sign and transponder code unless you have a question. Include your callsign with the transmission, advise on initial contact, you have information oscar

How did I do, I had to rewind to be clear of the weather brief.
wrong: FEW080
Kinda hard to keep track when Harry's voice is that muffled.
You have selected Microsoft Sam as the computer's default voice.
Sounds a bit like "(im)perfect Paul" (The lower pitched version that I get occasionally when I get Miami's NWS Radio).
222222222222..........22222222.......... Sigh*
Did it say "sea level pressure not available"? How can that be possible?
I think it's because QNH is not provided in North America, so its probably an advisory for international pilots
Someone can decode this and write here ? thxxxx (love potatoes but here ...... 😷)

Lost approach. Go around!
Why. Why is it so hard to hear. wtf 😳
So They Use A Lower Pitched NOAA Paul Voice For There ATIS
The first guy sounds like the nasonex bee
Zero. Lost interest. Yes, am a pilot, but this is the reason you prepare before you fly.
Can not believe they use such a terrible robot voice. Microsoft needs work.
@@kimberlywentworth9160 this was uploaded in 2011 I'm sure ATIS has improved alot over the years Lol
Don't make people wait to hear the info.
We had a real (person from tower) do a recording... This sounds like shit
MALISIMO EL ATIS!
DECTalk. Huh
