I made peanut butter in mine but did not use any other ingredients. Had to scrape the sides now multiple times but it eventually broke the nuts down and turned out perfect. It was pourable at first and then after refrigeration it was spreadable like you’d want it to be.

I am sorry folks were so harsh. A new "anything" these days needs a quick tutorial. A hint... start by blending 4 tbls of oil and 1 tsp of water, (coconut oil makes a thicker butter) FIRST. Just for a few seconds, to make an emulsion. The manual recommends a min of a 1/4 cup of liquid or more before blending anything! Add 1/2 the nuts, blend it, add the balance of the nuts (or more), and blend until until you are happy with the results. This process is how I make hummus and it works great! You may have a defective unit... but I think reading the ops manual helps to problem solve recipes.

I did cashew butter following what you did with the same results noise and all. And then I realized you should put the oil in first. When I made a second batch with oil first it was better.

Maybe try it without adding the extra oil that might make it thicker and not as thin.

I loved SOOOooooo much when you read the hater reviews! Keep at it!
I'll tell you what. I've been trying to learn how to do acrylic pour. Looks so easy, but I guess it's like making peanut butter: looks easier than it is! I've thought to do videos on all my attempts/fails, just to show that not every attempt works perfectly.
Hey, you could do that... keep a series of "fails," making it into a compilation! Boy, I wonder what the haters would say to that!

Maybe if you let it sit and allow the nuts and oil to naturally separate, you can remove **some** of the oil off the top, mix it up by hand, then you’ll probably have a thick, smooth final product.

    Hi,. Just a few things:
1.) Don't use so much oil. In general it is very rare for me to add oil when making nut butters. I use a blend-tec and they come out super smooth.
2.) I'm not sure if you were being facetious but it doesn't have a "nut" button. It's for nut milk, like almond milk, & oat milk.
3.) The instant pot have a serious hard on for safety. It's likely that the sensors in it picked something up.
The error you got is the same error you get when things burn in the pressure cooker. This is often caused when one doesn't properly de-glaise after browning. The sensors pick up that the pan temp higher than it should be and turn it off.
Lastly, while I don't agree with the tone of the response you got, I do, kind of, understand them.
There are several unfair reviews and comparisons online for the instant pot and it's kind of tiresome because often it's the reviewer not using it properly.
One common example is that the pressure cooker doesn't brown meats or saute properly but they don't use the high setting to brown meats.
I'm glad you were willing to redo this video. Good fortune on all your videos.

I don't know what kind of IP blender you have, but I've had my IP Ace Plus blender for a couple of years, and it DOES have a nut butter button that I use to make my peanut butter-it also has a nut milk button!

    • @vaguedreams

@@Cindy-qj1fu Hi Cindy, this was from almost a year ago but we were discussing the IP Ace 60. I had to rewatch the vid because I didn't really remember what we were discussing. You can clearly see that this device does not have a nut butter option.
I personally own a Blendtec (really should have gone for the Vitamix) but did research this specific model. It does not have a "Nut Butter" button. Just looking at the front it is easy to see why someone would confuse it though. The "Nut" / Oat milk option is easy to confuse.
yes, your Ace Plus does have a nut butter button as well as a nut milk button but that is a different model than the one above.

Al nut butters need refrigeration to stiffen/thicken up because the blender does give rise to bit of heat.

I have this blender and I love it! I love making my soups in it. Have not tried making peanut butter in it but I did make it in my Vitamix blender and it took me about 30 to 40 minutes to get it done. So... don’t feel bad cos it’s not your fault nor the instant pot blender, it’s the peanuts fault, they are not user friendly 😂

The blender Pitcher Jar is so wide at the bottom this won't work as well as those VitaMix or Blendtec expensive blenders. It's almost like you're making a peanut butter Smoothie with all that required Oil in the Instant Pot Ace 60 Official website recipe. Better to make Nut Butters in A Food Processor. Sometimes we have to pick the right equipment to get the best results. I love your patience and can do attitude!

    Hi-ho all.
I have made peanut butter many many times, and have NEVER added anything but peanuts. Yup; never added ANY sort of oil... just the peanuts. I end-up with smooth (or chunky if less grinding) every time, and the result is smooth enough to easily spread.

Hi! Is your receipe is from instant pot blender? because i believed she used the one she printed out from their web or app. I hope you can answer me soon 😬🙏. I just bought this blender for my mom as from yesterday in the blackfriday sale for $50 (cant beat that). Only because it says it makes liquid food and mainly nut milk. She's having stomach problems, i thought it is a great blender for her at this moment. Because if you dont use any type of oil on this type of blender and still get a smooth nut butter, i will try it like that for my mom, i think she will digest better that way.

Glorymar I made peanut butter with the Ace blender and I used two jars of nuts from the Dollar Tree. Two jars is the maximum to use at one time. I made mine before there was a recipe from instant pot. If I remember correctly I blended on high and then used one of the heat presets. It was thin but tasted great. I just experimented with settings to make it. Good luck!

I am returning the Instant ACE PLUS blender. i support your original opinion on this blender.. IT SUCKS! I first tried making cauliflower soup using a recipe from the instant site and it burnt so bad to the bottom (yes I even layered the food according to the directions) GROSS. my soup tasted like burnt cauliflower. THROW OUT! My chickens would not even eat it. AND there is NO WAY to clean the stupid heating plate! not like the 'clean cycle' or that LAME scrub brush does anything. I decided I would at least try using it for my morning bullet proof coffee.. FAILURE! Burns the coffee and protein onto the plate and I gave up trying to clean it. I FINALLY decided to try the 'Nut Butter' setting. Following the Instant posted video for making almond butter in the Instant Ace Plus.... FAILURE! it did not even make it half way through the cycle before it was smoking and the transmission or something stripped out and now it just makes a whirring sound...
Now I have 32 ounces of almonds (the recommended amount per the Instant posted video) half ground and basically going to chicken food...
SOOOO for all you lame folks that came down on the original video... GO BUY THE PRODUCT and try it yourself... before you chastise someone for an honest attempt at a product eval. OMG... If you need to follow a manual to figure out how not to blow a BLENDER UP... don't buy the blender cuz IT SUCKS! Avoid the INSTANT BLENDERS as they are worthless... I guess I'll lay out the cash for a VitaMix.
