I hope you don't mind but I use your great information to help the veterans at work. Fortunately for them I don't charge. I just want to see veterans get what they deserve. I've helped 3 go from not filling to 100%.
Of course I don't mind Albert, that's amazing! That is the exact impact I am hoping we can continue to grow
Yes!!!
How can you help Albert? Can we connect?
Help me please Albert
Hello Albert, if you help other vets I would love to speak with you.
Eyy, my boys back with that fire🔥 the most thorough channel for helping vets understand the process which is va claims. Get what you earned vets and be well. 👌
Much love Andresluna ♟️
I received secondary ratings for GERD and Hypertension due to prolonged use of NSAIDS. Didn't need nexus letters, just researched and submitted statements and links to articles that supported the claim.
Hi @ceenola8993, do you still have the links to the articles? I've been on hypertension meds for 25 years and now understand the cause for my stomach issues and reflux.
An ascot. A bold fashion choice.
Yes sir, I love them. More casual than a typical necktie yet elegant nonetheless
Looks great 🔥🔥
Really great to know this. I definitely was on 800s several times from having my appendix removed to having my tearing 3 ligaments in my ankle to injuring my sciatica while deployed.
Now to find my medical records, hopefully that won’t be too hard and hopefully soon onwards to 100%
I’m 30% for plantar fasciitis and knee chondromalacia, 0% for bilateral stress fractures. The amount of vitamin M I’ve eaten over the years has probably turned my stomach lining to dust. I really need to get after this!
Outstanding Jordan! Thank you.
Cheers ♟️
This is Great, Thanks
Thank you for the transcript I can read what was spoken of and take notes
No problem Grace
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.
You are the man!
How can I be the man when you’re the man Keyton ♟️
I just realized how dumb I was about IBS. I thought it was only about having diarhea, but constipation is part of IBS. Same thing w "regurgitation" of the food, its part of "GERD". thnx dude!
Alternating between diarrhea and constipation is one of the key criteria for the max 30% IBS rating. Glad it's clicking for you, cheers!
Always bringing the facts. Subscribed. One of the better channels for veterans. Question: what if we have filed an initial claim for conditions (12 in my case) and still waiting to hear back? However, I have some additional conditions I need to file for because I am learning so much now. What’s the process to file for these additional conditions? Do I wait or file right away? I’ve not been able to find anything related. APTTMHY
Thanks for the kind words. To answer your question, if you have more to file, I would file it ASAP. Just to be sure, you should probably call the VA and get confirmation. APTTMHY
Bruh!!!! You're always dropping gems! Question - I was given Motrin for a foot injury and it states it in my STR. Will that still apply to GERDS & IBS?
Cheers Calvin, glad you’re getting value from this. Yes, Motrin is just brand name Ibuprofen, a NSAID
so much great information! Is there a way to get a copy of the bullet proof letters without joining the academy, hope to be bale to join soon.
Good vid. I remember those horse pill motrins.
🐴
New subscriber, your content is great! I was granted a 60% VA disability in 2020, how much of an uphill battle is it to submit secondary claims 15 plus years after separation?
I appreciate your support! It’s not hard, knowing the playbook really greases the wheels. Once you win you’ll probably be confused as to why almost every vet doesn’t do the same
Great info. Have you heard about side effects from taking omeprazole regarding bones? I’ve been on it since my service and now have degenerative joint disease and arthritis. I heard omeprazole can cause these issues. If anyone knows anything, please let me know!
I have IBS/GERD both where combined for 30%, any info to whether separating or not would be a good idea ..or if it can even be done and how thank you.
This was the bomb diggety
This is great information, thank you! But for the love of God, please no more chalk board screeching 😂
Hey brother, you do personal coaching or only course?
I want to talk to you directly I'm 60% but I should have filed anxiety depression ptsd as secondary to my back or tinnitus I don't know....
I also don't have a personal statement
I like the videos, question about P&T if I may. Are you awarded P&T status because of an accumulation of all your claims or the severity of a particular claim?
Example if I have a bunch of claims I’m well over that 100% mark, boom I get it automatically?
Or is there something else in particular the VA is looking for to grant you that P&T status?
I know the book answer but have you seen in your experience?
As Hill & Ponton explained it, P&T is that you are rated 100% for static conditions (i.e. not expected to change/improve).
You can be rated 100% for non-permanent conditions, e.g. surgeries, cancer treatment, heart attack. After a certain period, your rating drops and you are then rated on residuals.
To find out your static conditions, call the VA and ask for a copy of your code sheet.
Does this still apply today with the new rating schedule
Great content and we as vets appreciate it. I’m in the process of being diagnosed and gathering medical evidence to file my claim, but I thought 100% was 3600. How is 2100 90%?
Thanks for the kind words. The pay jump between 90% and 100% is huge
90% disability rating (in U.S. $)
2,172.39
100% disability rating (in U.S. $)
3,621.95
Source: www.va.gov/disability/compensation-rates/veteran-rates/
I don't understand it either, but 100% is definitely 3600 and some change...I got a temporary 100% rating for a hemmroidectomy
They actually combined IBS & GERD and won’t rate them separately anymore. I just went through this and everyone I’ve talked to providers + VA said they combined them, which is dumb since they affect different parts of the stomach. To get 60% you have to be bleeding out basically. They said rating each separately is considered pyramiding.
I remember when Motrin came out the military doctors gave Motrin for everything! How do we file for this I have IBS
1. Write a compelling personal statement describing your IBS symptoms through the lens of 38CFR and why you believe your IBS was caused by your prescription from your service connected condition(s)
2. Get a nexus letter, preferably from a specialist in their specialty that concurs
3. File the IBS claim
i got out in 97, how do i get my medical records????
Does the ibuprofen have to be prescribed by VA in order to claim the damage it has done to your stomach lining? I was taking it OTC, for a SVC connected injury, and ended up in ER with bleeding.
As long as it was prescribed for the service connected condition, it doesn't matter that it was a private doctor. Smart question, cheers
@@vaclaimsacademy I'm close to filing, with ducks almost in order. Migraines really are horrible. I will likely take a look at your statement offer on your website. It isn't the money that makes me hesitate, it's not knowing if it will be effective, or a dud. I need to put my honest symptoms and impact, my story, into an excellent and easy to process format.
Great information. Meloxicam (NSAID) prescribed to treat pain from service connected psoriatic arthritis. Constant heartburn, now to get a diagnosis. I hadn't connected the dots there yet. Thanks for the info.
Does Gastritis fall into these categories?
Do you have a website that we, veterans can seek help from you?
I do offer a premium service at vaclaims-academy.com first link in the description
Pubmed links are dead.
I really need help, and need someone like you to help me with my goal, any way I could reach out to you?
Does the VA recognize the studies pertaining to GERD and IBS that can be caused by ibuprophen?
yes, they took my off and dont know what to do. Because can't take pain pills but all the ibprophen was eating holes in my stomach and not helping with the pain. So dum, glad as a grown adult I need someone elses permission to take pain meds to feel better
When combined with a bulletproof personal statement and a credible nexus letter, absolutely it can boost your case over the edge.
The key is scratching and clawing until the VA concedes it’s a toss-up; which is automatically rated in your favour.
Respectfully and tactfully presenting findings from relevant peer-reviewed studies is a great way to know you are doing all you could to max out your odds
@@vaclaimsacademy I agree, but my experience is that even with the most credible nexus letters, I'll get an ignorant denial. I have a vet right now who is complaining of exactly what the article and you stated. She's waiting for a nexus letter from her civilian doctor, and so far, he isn't coming thru. We'll keep trying though.
How do you find and approach a doctor with this info? Hi doc! I have SSD. Lol
You lead them to water then let them drink. Explain how your ailments are the root of your mental issues and they should connect the dots from there

WHAT ABOUT HEARING LOSS
The old military wonder drug. They passed out that horse pill for everything
So how do you go about getting each one of these diagnosed from a doctor without telling them out right... so they dont think you're gaming the system. Everytime I go into VA they look at me like im crazy and or lying when I've been on Omeprazole since 2015 because of acid reflux. But I dont have this rating for anything at all. Even worse I've stop using it off and on because from reading it can cause kidney failure so I dont want to more screwed since im only in my low 40's. It's horrible having to swallow and it feels like im throwing up. I had to stop taking tramadol and meloxicam because it was causing me severe hair loose and I didn't even know it in my early 30's. VA in Hawaii is Horrible and they aren't really into helping VETS and you end up giving up and just dealing with the pain and suffering because they act like you're just there for handouts. Im beyond frustrated with this system but your video just gave me some hope to push a bit more. Also how do you ask for a Nexus letter and request for diagnosis that VA didn't give you right out the BOX since its been years?
You know, this is smart question.
I have a very specific strategy to tactfully solicit a diagnosis that I’m keeping under wraps behind the course paywall so the doctors don’t start hearing the same thing over and over.
But the general technique is understanding that medical professionals have egos and if you employ the 48 Laws of power and do your best not to outshine them while still asking for what you want, this works best
If you're being treated for the symptoms then your PCP knows you're not lying or "playing" the system. If they won't write you a nexus then get your medical records and change doctors
You being in Hawaii, then you need to look into the Pearl Harbor complex superfund clean up that started in '94 and is scheduled to be monitored through 2045. It's a toxic wasteland. Over 60 known chemicals have tested positive in the soil, groundwater, and sediment around the complex. The Navy was told in 1984 that Pearl Harbor was toxic and was compared to Love Canal, NY. Of course, they denied until the Honolulu Advertistor ran an article, and they admitted that it was contaminated. The EPA added Pearl Harbor to the national priorities list, and clean-up started in '94. This is the military's best hidden secret. I stumbled on to it by accident. My unit was damn near on top of the Ford Island landfill in the 80s. Everybody needs to hound their representatives to add this shit to the list of presumptive areas. Pearl Harbor complex makes the crap at Camp Lejune look small. Look up Pearl Harbor superfund clean up. There's a ship load of EPA documents that you can download.

The Va is funny.I got blown up few times in Iraq and been having headaches on a daily basis since and was taking NSAID’s to manage.I filed my first claim in January after been out since 06,Gerd service connected 60% headaches service connected 0%
Did you know the VBA Rating criteria for migraines/headaches ahead of filing?
I mean, did you read the schedule?
@@eQuariuzi didn’t when I filed but I do meet the criteria for 50% rating.the Va went with the c&p lady that saw for less than 2 minutes
A solid personal statement should take those headaches to 50%
Sounds like you may have communicated that the pills cure any discomfort or pain the headaches cause. I've seen service connected flat feet at 0% because at the time the veteran told the VA they did not hurt at all. Once their feet began hurting they refiled and got the percentage increased.
Play chess not checkers great statement. 😅
I'm on board. How do I sign up?
