    The most difficult and horrible setup ever encountered. Phone does not even find the camera when the setup is connected in wifi to the SSID. Cannot be any direct connection

      I agree..dum setup that u have to go through it about 100 times..then you lose the connection every 5 minutes..this will be my last canon camera

    The problem is you can’t use the WiFi function in video mode, and that’s a main reason I’d want to connect to the app

    Hello! Is there a way to conecy rebel T7 to transfer pictures to the computar by wifi at the moment it is taken? Im a dentist and I will love to show my patients their teeth pictures on a big screen after they are taken

    what happens when you do not have wifi? for example shooting outdoors... can you still use this for remote control photography taking?

    I was able to successfully set 1 for my Iphone and set 2 for my android. However for some reasons My T7 doesn’t want to connect to my iPad Air 4th Generation, I can see that my iPad connected to the ssid my camera gave but when I go to the app the camera doesn’t want to connect if that makes sense. Please let me know what to do thank you!

      Hi! The EOS Rebel T7 is designed to use its own built-in microphone. The camera does not have a jack for an external microphone.

      Hi, Faith! Your EOS Rebel T7 can use Wi-Fi to upload your photos and videos to image.canon (previously known as CANON iMAGE GATEWAY). Once they're there, you can access them from any web browser and save them to your computer. You'll find more information in the EOS Rebel T7 wireless feature manual at canon.us/ekpfy and remember to replace references to CANON iMAGE GATEWAY with the web address image.canon

    I tried to transfer a video from my camera through the app onto my phone but the app said video was not supported and wouldn't let me transfer it over.

    Is there a way to connect the Rebel t7 to the computer to transfer photos? Why isn't there a computer option in the settings? Wouldn't this be as simple as a software update?

      Hi! The simplest way for your EOS Rebel T7 to talk to your computer is to use a USB data cable to connect the two devices. That should automatically launch the Canon camera software you probably already installed. And if you're simply looking to transfer images and videos, you can also use a memory card reader which some computers already have built in.

      Hello there! The Rebel T7 is compatible with the wired Remote Switch RS-60E3, and the remote function on the Canon Camera Connect App. It is not compatible with a hand-held wireless remote.

      Hi, Asia! While the EOS Rebel T7 will transfer only photos to a smartphone, you can transfer movies to a desktop or a laptop computer by connecting to connecting to our web service image.canon. Check out Chapter 7 of the EOS Rebel T7 wireless manual at canon.us/ekpfy and keep in mind that we have changed CANON iMAGE GATEWAY to image.canon. Just replace the references to CANON iMAGE GATEWAY with the web address image.canon and everything else mentioned in that section of the manual should work the same.

      Hi, Minenhle! The EOS Rebel T7 is specifically designed to send still photos to iOS devices. Due to their large file sizes, movies cannot be transferred to iOS devices and you'll need to download them onto your computer, instead. Once they're there, you're free to do with them as you please.

Because of their large file sizes, movies can't be transferred to iOS devices and you'll need to download them onto your computer, instead. Once they're there, you can do whatever you want with them, including copying them to your iOS device if you want.

      Hi! When you initiate the connection with your iOS device, your EOS Rebel T7 should provide you with an encryption key which will serve as your password. The encryption key will be plainly displayed on the camera's LCD screen. You'll find more information starting on page 30 of the camera's wireless function instruction manual at canon.us/ekpfy

      Hi! The Canon Camera Connect App is designed to transfer still images from your EOS Rebel T7 to your smartphone. Due to the file sizes, videos cannot be transferred. You'll need to transfer your videos from your camera to a laptop or desktop computer, and from there, you can transfer the video from your computer to your mobile device if you wish to do so.

      If you are using the Canon Camera Connect app, it does not support saving .MOV files from your EOS camera to your smartphone; only photos. Our camera support team is happy to answer any other questions you have.     I wish I would have bought another camera. The phone remote function will not work outdoors. Basically useless to me to not have Bluetooth functionality. Bluetooth has been around for years, I can that not have been a basic added feature for this camera. Lame!!!!

    Didn't work. I'll call for remedial assistance. Why can't I just pair the thing via bluetooth? Would certainly make things easier. Canon seems to go out of its way to make things more complicated than they need to be. If this was an I.Q. test, I'd flunk.

      Addendum: Canon won't support Rebel T7 by phone. Must rely solely on web service. Canon, you make a great camera, but your software and customer service SUCKS.
