Hi, I 've received dunu's sa 6est and been using them for a week. I've been having issues with the fit, none of the tips provided by dunu worked for me and none of the more known tips that I have worked like divinus, azla crystal, spinfits...they gave me pain, they pop out and also found the bass light in impact as you said in the review. So finally I tried the bgvp dma bass tips and they didn't pop out when I'm walking, the sound is much better, more bass impact than the final audio tips and better treble and overall clarity, sound is awesome now, best iems in my collection 🙂 so these are very fit dependant.
@@SuperReview Thanks! After more days of casual listening I'm settled with the divinus velvet tips as the problem was more with the cable not the tips. Once the termination of cable got softer the fit improved a lot. Awesome sound by the way, compared to my bgvp dma, tangzu nehza and final audio a5000 these are an improvement in sq and those are really good too 😎
It's my Endgame for this genre I think. I love it so much. I was in the process of buying a SA6 Ultra but the guy dropped the pair today while packing it and it cracked so I'm sticking with the mk. II for good.
Nice, I'm also using my SA6 MkII with the Lyre Mini cable, it's much easier to use than the Hulk Pro Mini, the only issue with it is microphonics which I can handle on desk use. Thank for the review, I'll definitely make a miss for this SA6 EST, I'd rather get Mega5EST.
I dont understand why do they keep boosting the treble instead of giving DD to the bass, which has always been the Achilles heel of this series? Sa6 Ultra with DD bass would be a great release.
I stopped caring about EST drivers after owning the Helios, reckon this IEM has better treble than most EST IEMs, definitely the best treble I've heard so far. Often hear people call electrets a gimmick unless the IEM is called Elysian Acoustics Annihilator.
Have you tried creative aurvana ace2, soundpeats capsule 3 pro plus or any xmems driver wired/wireless iems? I'm curious about your opinion. Hiby digital xeno iems will be coming soon with many new features.(digital crossover, dual dac etc.)
I demo'd the Ace and was super underwhelmed, just sounded like a bad, mushy DD. I tried Moondrop's new Concerto the other day, that's another hybrid Xmems IEM and it's pretty impressive.
I found it super weird when these were announced as I rarely feel like all BA IEMs would be improved by adding ESTs. It feels like a cash grab targeting fans of the SA6 and I’ve already seen people selling their old SA6’s to upgrade. Hopefully people realize that adding ESTs doesn’t outright make a IEM superior to older models without them.
One to pass on. I have the SA6 MKII and I wasn't a huge fan. It did need some sparkle, but it really needed a DD. The DaVinci ticks that box and gives you the timber cap.
Did you just say that you are going to pass on the SA6 Mark two these are some of the most premier ear angels that you’ll find for $600. Why you don’t like them I don’t know. I’m gonna say probably the reason you don’t like them is you were a trumpet player and an ensemble of 45 other trumpet players and your hearings are gone so that you know
@@SuperReview Didn’t know that. Right now the MK2s are hooked up to iFi Go Pods but In keeping the OGs SA6s forever wired. That should do me for SA6. 🙂
Thanks for the review! Thorough and informative yet not overly long, still impresses me how you do this without multiple takes! A brighter and less forgiving SA6? Uhhhh an un-chill SA6 lacks competitive USP, oh well saves my wallet! What I'd like to see in my preferred SA6 follow-up: Start at OG tuning then, switch off: +1db bass boost, switch on: +5db (instead of +2db), gently tweak the bass shelf to plateau at a slightly higher freq to address the bass inconsistency. Add a bit of a boost past 12Khz (1-3db high shelf style) for treble extension. That's it, similar in idea to the collab version, but different. Dunu can send me a free sample for the idea :)
Just a question, but I believe these have an impedance of 55 ohms, with I think 117db/mw would these perform well on say an apple dongle, and are these easy to drive?
Why you graded 3 if the level is at least as good as the original, it's pretty inconsistent with your grading and comments in general. It should be at least the same as the original.
Agree with the comment, hate reviews nowadays. These should be better than the rest of the line, if not people from dunu doesn't know how to tune iems lol. The other review online from Giz Audio said that these have the same bass and improved mids and treble...

I've 👏 been 👏saying👏 it 👏 for so long!!! DUNU give us SA6 MK2 with a DD for bass!
2 years later....
Dunu : Here's your SA6 EST DD!!
@@shiroyukirein3365 and the SA6 DD EST BC in 4
I'd love that!
I really enjoy my SA6 MKII, it just does everything right in a pleasant non offensive way, its my go to IEM for Prog Rock .

The face plate looks so good. Great review as usual Ryan ❤️
Thank you for your awesome review!
Thanks for this review. I'm still using my SA6 and will pass on this one. Still waiting for a true upgrade from Dunu.
This is the review I’ve been looking for…..Jedi Mind Trick….
SA6 is still my DD (aside from my customs)

I feel the whole Dunu SA6 series had been consistent in very good build, design, the FR and the sound. It's good but it never excites you.
SA6 was pretty standout when it came out in 2020. I think over the years it holds up as still very good, but agreed not exciting anymore.
og sa6 were the best sa6 series
@@recode8453what are u dailying now recode? 👀
Not 6 anymore.

Question, are you listening to the IEMs first then looking at the graphs, or are you looking at the graphs first then listening to the IEM?

Will you be reviewing the Estrella by ziigaat x Jays Audio?

Maybe someone was asking for it.
@@SuperReviewAbsolutely, so if anyone at DUNU reads this I’d like a Mirai with a decent shell
Hi mark, can you link the black desk mat you are using?
It's just one of the hundreds of felt desk mats available on Etsy.
I believe DUNU should make some new IP. SA6 itself has got so many iterations now.
One to pass on. I have the SA6 MKII and I wasn't a huge fan. It did need some sparkle, but it really needed a DD. The DaVinci ticks that box and gives you the timber cap.
The SA6 DD would be the move.

If they are going to keep making these they should bring back the Ultra. I know Zeos wouldn’t complain. 🙂
The mk2 is pretty much Ultra.
@@SuperReview Didn’t know that. Right now the MK2s are hooked up to iFi Go Pods but In keeping the OGs SA6s forever wired. That should do me for SA6. 🙂
You should try testing these with Spinfit W1 or Softear UC tips since it makes the bass and the upper treble more consitent
I'd get Noble Audio Spartacus instead 4BA 2BC but SA6 EST is also excellent but not exciting as Spartacus
IEM makers kept on trying to improve perfection. Who will make the best single EST set?
Single EST!? Brave.
Are there ANY tws overear headphones with good sound quality worth recommending?
I like the Focal Bathys.

The Dunu x Mudbutt 🤌
Cable and the jack part are too chunky.

14:20 there is a video above the comments section that explains.
Weird. I thought the common consensus on the SA6 was, that its main weak point was the BA bass. I would have expected them to add a DD, not ESTs.
That'd be nice!
Wish they used a DD for the bass
