- In this video Layla and I polish stainless steel bolts to a mirror finish using only a drill. It's so simple literally anyone could do it.
Then we show how to speed up the process a little using one more common power tool.

Amazing work Layla 💪
Thanks for the tips, going to try this with the bolts on my XR6! 👌
No dramas mate. It’s so simple isn’t it. Let me know how you go. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed 😃👍🏻
@@rustyinspirations Just bought the stuff from Bunnings, will try this week.
😎👍🏻 sweet
That’s great news about the bolt kit mate
Absolutely. 😃
what sort of sandpaper did you use? aluimium oxide, silicon carbide, or other? thanks
G’day laszlo 😃. That is a really good question. And I honestly can’t answer it. I know some of it was suitable for panel and paint. Not sure if this helps at all.
Very helpful.. i did it at home .. used only 5 grades till 1000 grit ..
G’day mate, glad it helped. That’s good to know I might try missing a few in between next time 😃👍🏻
Love the content mate, just picked up my first cylinder mower, a 20" super cut so really keen to follow along and see how yours goes. Got mine running and cutting as is and maybe that will do till next winter.
Thanks Nick. I’m glad you like it 😃. Absolutely mate. use it while you can. don’t rush it. 👍🏻
@@rustyinspirations currently restoring my landcruiser which is a massive job, once that's finished I'll have a bit more spare time on my hands! But I'll be taking my time that's for sure
@@nickgreenshields8813 what landmcruiser? I build a bj40 about 15 years ago. SOA with 60series steering.
@@rustyinspirations yeah that sounds awesome! Mines not as old school. building an 87, HJ60, been was my daily driver for about 10 years, but the rust in the roof got the better of it and it was time to get it sorted so my kids could enjoy it in the future hopefully. Had to take the full roof skin off and replace the gutters, and repair the roof skin and put it back on, it's in primer now, not long I'll get some colour down and that's when the fun bit starts!
@@nickgreenshields8813 awesome. Sounds like you saved a classic 👌🏻
