The production value of these videos is amazing. The pace of the narration, the story unfolding, even the soundtrack are on par with professional documentaries produced by big studios.
Tony although I did give this a thumb's up, that hardly even begins to address the sheer scope of this work. You are not only an incredible story teller but a master filmmaker. Thank you and do continue your adventures with us along!
Tony, I'm so thankful to have found your videos of your travels throughout our vast world. I think I have watched all of them but hope not my friend for I want to see more! Your videos, documenteries should be shown in all our schools to teach the young the importance of preserving and protecting our world. I look forward to many more, more adventures of Venture also. Thank you so much! Never too old to learn and be mesmerized, even for this 75 year old lady!
You Sir, are a master of video, story telling and narration. Please continue to show us what most of us will never see first hand and possibly, not at all if not for you.
Tony -- you have the best adventures that I have ever seen. Thank you so much for sharing these. Honestly, the cold ones would not be on my bucket list because my physical self does not do well with the cold. I always find myself gathering more clothing when I know you are 'Venturing' in the cold! Many blessings! ❤
My friend, the sound, tenor and pacing of your voice is magic to me. Professionals could learn a lot from you. When I feel deepest in the depths, I visit your adventures and am with you in heart and spirit. I'm in tears as I type this. Thank you, dear SIR and know that you have saved at least one soul from,,,,
"The land of ice". I did not realize that the ship's crew would educate the passengers about the different birds, whales and other animals who live during the summers, and in the case of the Emperors the entire winter, in Antarctica. I feel privileged to be able to share in your amazing journey. The different shades of blue are absolutely beautiful. I am thankful that the trip to our planet's pristine icy continent is such a long and difficult and expensive journey because if it were easy to get there I fear it would be just another tourist attraction and that would surely spoil it for posterity. Safe and happy travels to you Mr Fleming.
I don't think it's the ships crew bringing the lectures, I would guess the organizers of the trip have hired guest speakers to entertain the paying guests during the more boring part of the travel. I would guess at least half of the guests are academic researchers themselves, most likely on a ticket payed by some sort of research institution or university. And perhaps even some of them were asked to bring some sort of lecture to share the knowledge with their fellow travellers.
Another excellent film! I enjoyed this immensely and in particular the stunning photography of Antarctica. Thank you for sharing your amazing adventures!
Thank you so much Tony for this amazing trip. You have a gift on this platform that few have, I felt so immersed in the experience. At first glance I thought you brought one of your own boats there, but that is some serious ice! Thanks once again for bringing this to us, you sir, are a true inspiration! Bryan from Vancouver
Love this video! Great cruisers!!!Imposible for me being there on that trip but as a bird I flew with all of you in this journey! Thank You, very much!
Unfortunately the icebreaker is not in such a nice condition as before when you went to the west coast of Greenland. Still, thank you Tony, for all the love you put into these documentaries. And the beautiful music.

Tony, you've captured our journey masterfully. So glad you could do this tour again. I have shared this film with all my friends who want to know what Antarctica is like - you've captured it.
Hi Suzette, I am so pleased you enjoy the video. There are others which also show Antarctica. They are" Voyage to Antarctica" which was my first trip to the Ross Sea Area and also "Islands" which from Ushuaia to South Georgia and the Peninsula. I am traveling right now with limited access to internet so cannot supply the links but if you can't find them on You Tube and/or Vimeo let me know and I will provide more details in due course.
Great start to the new year, hopefully it will carry on with more videos soon. Fantastic video as usual and I could easily recommend you for a Sir Richard Attenborough replacement any day
Tony, you must have been appalled at the condition of this ship compared to its clean new rust free condition when you voyaged up the western coast of Greenland years ago. Shame on the new owners. Would not catch me flying in that chopper either. The boom was covered in filthy soot. Could hardly read its identification. You are a fabulous story teller. No need for me to continue saving up for such expeditions. Blessings. Richard
I don't know that "appalled" would be the word I would use. More like "disappointed". I was surprised how good this 31 year old ship looked during the Greenland trip. She must have just come out of a refit. That trip to Snow Hill Island was a one off and I don't think likely to be repeated.
Fascinating....as usual the choice of music is impeccable . The best travelogues on UA-cam. It's so good to see there are still enough people not infected by Nato's anti Russia propaganda.
Great content, would love to go there, that warrants the over used expletive, " Awesome" it truly is. The last statement regading the rising Co2 levels begs the question "If there was no humans, there was no cars, planes or ships. So what or who caused the Co2 to rise, Dinosaur flatulence?"
I wonder Tony, if you had to pick just one, would it be filming or “boating” I’ve use parentheses because your idea of boating far surpasses the average persons idea of boating. You sir are a master film maker/ story teller. God bless you and thank you deeply for your wonderful videos.
Thank you. It would be hard to pick one over the other. I have always enjoyed travel and photography but never had time to enjoy the products we designed and built until i retired. I am very lucky that using the boats we build has allowed me to combine them all together to indulge my interests while improving the product.
Awesome video Mr. Fleming !! Could you give us fans a out of curiosity ball park figure what a once in a life time trip like that would costs us.?? I would love to take a grandchild or daughter a trip of their life. Thank You. Might have to mortgage a house or print more C notes. Cheers
This particular trip was especially expensive. US$20,000 per head for a triple share cabin and US$30,000 per head for a twin share. This was a special trip with just one single destination which was to see the Emperor Penguins who, as you probably know, breed only in the winter. As the video showed you need an icebreaker in order to make such a trip and they are not just lying around. The Kapitan Khlebnikov had to make a round trip from and to Vladivostok of at least 26, 000 nm to get to Ushuaia which is itself a long way for most people to travel. Despite the high cost it did represent good value for money when all the costs are taken into account. However, there are many very rewarding trips available at much more reasonable cost. There are several companies offering such trips but I strongly recommend Quarkexpeditions.com. They have been in this business for 30 years and you can find them on line. I recommend including South Georgia in the itinerary. Such a trip would be a life changing event for anyone - especially a grandchild.
Thank you ever so much for the response but I might have to come back to reality, I've got four grandkid's that I love and I think the inheritance would be better spent on formal education, but I'm thinking a trip like that would be the best education ever and ever lasting to remember a grandfather. I wish to thank you ever so much for your quality work you do, I've watched everyone and many more than once. And if you ever get back on the Oregon coast give us a shout out, would love to come and see your beautiful boats. Cheers MBI
Thank you for filming and sharing. It is not a trip I would go on but it is interesting to watch from the comfort of my home. It was a great video except for the CO2 stuff. I am a denier. We need CO2 to have healthy forests.
Mr Fleming your productions are overwhelming in their content and in the gentle way you explain them. Have you considered that these productions are worthy of national broadcast? The BBC would be s great platform. Thank you.
I don't think I could begin to consider myself in the same league as the products created by the BBC which are wonderful. Also, any commercial outlet would have its demands re length and content whereas right now I only have to please myself and I find that the source material sets the length. However, my videos have recently been picked up by the Vyou Channel on the Roku streaming service. At that site my videos can be watched at 4K HDR provided they were shot at that resolution and provided the TV displays 4K. I have been shooting at 4K for the past couple of years although they have been reduced to HiDef (1 K) for You Tube and Vimeo.

I could only upvote this once.
Your Venture videos are the best nautical travelogues I've seen.
Thank you for expanding my horizon with this.
This is REALLY high quality narration, most of all, not to mention the filming and the scenery are also all quite fantastic!

It's not that bad of a ship at all, vwe've travelled 6 times on it, and the copters are noisy, but trusty like the ship
Wow.... magnificent production.

I fall asleep to this slow methodical unchanging tone voice ever night. 😀
Thanks for the video.
Epic! Thanks for sharing!
Amazing editing and the voice over is fantastic. Feels kind of eerie. The use of that russian helicopter is more frightening 🤣
