Those reflective ground sheets work man I have one same one but orange and I was in my tent for a bit and then sat outside for a bit and the ground was sucking the heat right out of me, very handy piece of kit
I’m about to buy the Tangram. What speed of wind would telescopic poles withstand do you think? And what size was your ground sheet please? I’d want one of those too. Thank you. Great video. Very helpful. 👍
Hi Arif thanks for your comment. Having used it several times in pretty rough weather I can say it holds up well. There are several more rigging points not used in my setup, so with all guys rigged I think it would stand up to pretty harsh conditions. The ground sheet can be found here…UTOOL Unisex's Ultra Emergency... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07KK63PWY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
@@SoundandNatureSuffolk thank you so much your reply. In fact, after some consideration, I’m going for the Cosmitto. It’s a fantastic tent and a bit more suited to my needs. Weight isn’t so much of a problem and I just prefer the dome style construction. I might get the Tangram later as an option. It’s my first serious tent so I went for the shape and pitch I know best.
not one person on yt has tried this tigris in rain its always snow or dry weather, i wanna know how waterproof it is before i buy one, ide appreaciate it if you would let me know?
its pretty late but i had the tangram over a multi-day bikepacking trip and it rained heavily every night. on the first night it leaked and i thought it was trash, but it turned out that i made a mistake when setting it up. i corrected it over the next day and it held up great
Thanks for the feedback David and glad you enjoyed! At the moment we’re just recording on an iPhone but as soon as budget allows we’re hopefully upgrading the setup so future videos will be of a higher quality! Thanks for persevering..
Hi Nathan here ( the man you got the Smokey hut from lol) I put the extra para cord loops as it helps using the elastic loops and para cord loops to get the tent to pitch on uneven ground. A tip with the silicone jack, the flap needs to be rolled so the it diverts rain water from going down the stove pipe. ( just flick it up so it’s going up the pipe if that makes sense) Great video guys, nice review of both tents. I think your bro will want to camp in the Smokey hut during winter. Hot tent is the way.
Ah nice one Nathan! Really enjoying the tent, amazed you tracked it down! 😂 nice one for the jack advice will try that next time! Yes the next camp we’re planning I think we’re going to try it with two, might be cozy but we’ll give it a go! Thanks for the comment.
That stove setup is awesome!
Yeh man! Cannot wait to spend a few nights out in the wild with it! And all for a few hundred quid!
