I distinctly remember loving this song and finding this live performance of it and playing it over and over. It still stands out as the most chaotic yet functional crowd dynamics I've ever seen caught on video. People are literally just jumping on stage by the dozens, launching themselves into the crowd using band members themselves as leverage, the band members seemingly not missing a single note or acknowledging them, let alone getting upset about it
yes, i have actually been trying to find the "this side of brightness" video from this set...i used to watch these allll the time back in my freshman year of college
i don't think its thursday but their record labels. thats why their always signing to a new one. i heard or read some where that thursday's labels are constantly publicizing them in the wrong way and are trying to drastically edit their music. victory records originally wanted to remove the lyrics from the entire full collapse cd.
@rockon2154 to each his own. I like hardcore punk which practically encourages stage dives and pile ons. Coming from the background of a vocalist, I think there's definitely a connection between the crowd and the band that can't really be put into words when stage dives and the sort are taking place at some show. Some bands like it or even encourage it.
I saw them live in Raleigh back in 04. This same thing was happening and someone kicked Geoff in the head and the show stopped prematurely as he went to the hospital. Doesn’t always work, admire the dedication tho
those "crowdsurfers" are part of the reason thursday got anywhere or made any money, if bands get annoyed by people getting into your music that personally then you should find a new hobby.
I love the music, but when you get older and see all the stage diving, it is kinda dorky. And its things like that that turns alot of people off to rock music, or punk, whatever it may be, because if you really look at it, kids look like idiots. Theres plenty of awesome concerts where you dont see that stuff and its just as good if not better of a time. Love thursday, but cmon guys, the stage diving and stuff is just ridiculous
Still watching
Awesome!!
I remember downloading this video off Kazaa and watching it a million times
I did the same with limewire or soulseek! Back in 2005
When everyone said AHHHH I felt that
the one kid comes on stage and grabs geoff by the head while he's singing. if i was him i'd be like, get the fuck out of here
Was my first Thursday show. Great crowd
Yeah saw them at there full collapse tour. Drove all the way to philly from va Beach. It was fucking amazing. Best show ive seen period!
