These tips are pure gold. The technique works against all types of players.. I have started implementing in my practice and I feel much more in control..
In short: 1. Serve using your body to generate power, not your hand. 2. Go through the full motion for your serve then develop an after motion. 3. Serving low to the net is more important than spin. 4. The best serves bounce twice on your opponents side, with the 2nd bounce landing right before the white line. This is so that they cannot loop it or play an attacking ball.
Jesus Christ loves you and died for your sins, everyone sins and deserves hell but Jesus (God) died for our sins paying the price of them, Believe That And You Will Be Saved
also - using your body is what makes the serve lower to the net and more contorlable. - don't try to win a point with just a serve by itself, but make your opponent's recieve comfortable for you to gain initiative. - making your opponent guesing which serve are you going to do till the very last moment is more impornant than spin.
Ok thanks you very much 10 short shot in the forehand 10 long shot in the forehand 10 short shot in the middle 10 long shot in the middle 10 short shot in the wide backhand 10 long shot in the forehand Short serve : 2 ball bounces Ligth and heavier And use body to get low bounces 10 long shot in the forehand
Thank you! I thought of myself as being the ugly duckling with my two bounce serves among the three and more bouncers, spinners and tricksters. Thanks to Jike, now I can fully embrace my swan-ness.
Hello! Amazing! I have questions: 1. how do you mean, we need to apply light force first, then heavy? light force is in your hand, heavy in your body? when i serve, first thing i move my body right? this is the heavy force..after like this, then apply "light force" in my hands.. isn't it? 2. you say that at 1:28 : "good serves are fake before the ball is contacted" wow, how do you mean that? every coach is teaching that, you must make fake movement AFTER contacting the ball
1. light force is relaxing your arm and wrist before contacting the ball, when you hit the ball, use your body movement combine with your arm to make a heavy force to the ball to make it spin. 2. you should watch Ma Lin serve, he's famous for his ghost serve which is difficult to see whether he hit the ball or not, you may do the after motion if you do the no.1 question well enough That's what I think, don't know if I'm right or wrong but I hope you can find out
Yes. How can you apply two forces? After the first force, the ball has gone. I think the terminology in this video is confusing. Guess it's in the translation. So when Zhang asks "do you understand" most times I don't. And it would be helpful if I could see where the ball goes on the other side of the table.
by fake JJ (or translator) means, that you have to make your opponent guesing, which serve are you goin'g to do, until the very contact with the ball and even further with the fake aftermotion. basically, it's serving with diffeerent spins and directions with same body motion, for example, pendulum. so your opponent always have to react and can't be fully prepared.
@@Brezinski1000 about force, as i got it, it's not force but motion he's talking about. like light (or short) and concentrated motion on contact, and then heavy (or big) motion afterwards, which confuses your opponents. i guess, it's just a translation mistakes. i've also heard Ma Long saying almost the same thing. He said, that on the serve you have to stop your hand right after the contact, make the contact on the ball as short and direct as possible. But he motivated it the other way tho, as i remember and mb i'm wrong, like it makes your serve lower and spinnier.
2 bounces serve is short enough. No reason to serve 3 bounces shots because the ball will go very slow and easy to push with lot of backspin then it hard for you to attack first
and no or less spin serve is much harder to return. When you have lot of spin, with backspin they can push with even more backspin so you can't attack first, with topspin a light touch drive with send the ball back to you with fast speed and unpredictable placement.
I have the same question. But no one is answering this. What does 2 bounce mean?? First bounce on the server's side and then one bounce on the receiver's side???? But isn't that considered a long serve which can easily be attacked because it drops off the end of the table?? Please answer. Thanks.
@@Brezinski1000 obviously he means 2 bounces on the receivers side, this makes sure they can't attack easily but it's not short enough to push short again easily.
he said 2 bounces is ideal. first on server side and second on opponent side. However the third bounce is not needed but you always try to have that third bounce close to the white line as possible (hard to tell if in or out of table)
You're actions after contacting the ball upon serving has more effect on your opponent as compared with issuing a serve with a great spin but unable to hide that fact.
i think that could be called serve fauld by some referees....yeah ofc there are a lot of methods to use body not too much and giving fake feelings to opponent but you know those are really hard to master and need massively sensitive and accurate feelings of controling the ball conclusion: 1. use your upper body after contacting ball not too much 2. give your arm natural following motion to make them hard to receive 3. serve is all about psychological and mental battle like chess
Sometimes less is more; if you're already doing a subtitle for the video, the robotic sounding dub become unnecessary, and might actually irate people instead. Keep going tho, your video is very helpful for everyone. Thx
Nope. My serves is always going to be ball tossed 1.5x to 2x my height and half arm length distance from my body! Either that or a backhand serve. I hate these dirty body hiding serves. Also the Waldner impression gives me a chuckle. It’s surprisingly similar. Waldner’s impression of Liu GuoLiang, on the other hand, was very disrespectful.

Belle démonstration et superbe explication pour faire un service plus efficace. Merci Zhang Jike.
The video is so good, I cannot believe it! I have to go and train my serve.

Where can I find the original stream with no dub?
in china's twitch or whatever. not sure if it works outside china.
Is 2 bounce serve always is still the way to go in the modern game now that is everyone banana flicking half long serves?
You want to actually serve half long most of the time and mix it up with FAST long serves
@@bryanwells4063so less short serving ?
@@zizo015 yes, in pro level short is easier to recieve, 2 bounce better specially 2 bounce at the white line

What does he mean by 2-bounce vs 3-bounce serves? Is the bounce on the server’s side counted in these definitions?

Light means brushing the ball softly only with the rubber and not with all force.
two bounces on the other side of the table he means???
