bruh, FAN is that one movie which i had super fun in watching it. This makes SRK a versatile actor rather than being labelled as a "star". Ironically, he proved that by being a star Aryan Khanna in this movie who was simply portrayed as a simple family man or human being when his life is reflected off screen. The way he confronts his FAN Gaurav to not repeat his mistakes and the sudden identity crisis I felt for both of these characters. It was just SRK vs SRK!!!! A lot of people is loving Pathaan as his comeback film, but wait, he was always the uncrowned king and he was still in the arena as one of the finest actors but hardly a few noticed it through Swades, movies like FAN, Paheli, etc.

I loved Tamasha the moment when I watched it in theatres.. and even after so many years, I still loved this masterpiece. Lakshya is my favourite Indian movie of all time, period. I still have too many favourites of mine but Lakshya just hits different, i saw the movie just when i passed 12th and was going to college in a few weeks and going through the whole engineering JEE coaching mind fuckery for 2 years had left me confused and deppresed and tired and even though i passed and was lucky enough to get into a good college, i thought i had failed because my score wasnt high enough and i dont know why watching Lakshya reinvigorated me, it gave me a boost of confidence to see things through..i related hard to Hrithik's character when all he wanted was to run away from the academy becaus eit was too tough thinking he wasnt cut out for it, it was literally how i felt during that time and seeing how he fought back against those insecurities and became successful kinda gave me hope to do the same..it always manages to bring me hope and drive to do something in my life whenever i watch it

Both Lakshya and Tamasha hold a special place in my heart especially Lakshya. I was in my early teens battling indecisiveness, conflicting priorities , deliriousness; when I watched Lakshya, for the first time in my youth, I started to explore and experiment with different things as a career choice. Rather than focusing on one particular thing, I cast the net as wide as possible including joining military. To think I’m Pakistani taking inspiration from a film with anti-Pakistan sentiments 😎

It surprises me how can a movie like Lakshya fail at the box office. It is one of those films which has always been my motivation whenever I feel down.
And the other film Tamasha directed by Imtiaz Ali was actually the one where there was hardly any audience in the theatre when I went to watch it. Same was the case of Fan and the other being Rocketry by R. Madhavan which was released last year. It is us who don’t appreciate such movies and call bollywood a crap.

@@stevewhite6241 are you guys from lower middle class families which cannot afford anything in life? No savings no nothing... Tamasha is about middle class people. He earned he saved he wasted the money when he was jobless. Many engineers have fathers with small businesses back in their home town. Many normally earning it job workers go for foreign holiday trips after earning. It's his hardwork and luck with which he succeeded in theatres but yeah it indeed match many of us. I am also an Engineer not because I wanted to but became one because my father is an engineer and wanted me his daughter to become one too and the pressure was unbearable being from general caste. That's how middle class family works which have good education and heavy parents expectations...& we do relate with Tamasha.
I know the lower class people thinks people above them are all rich just because they seem to have better lifestyles than them but the term rich is applicable for people like Ambani's not to a man who owns a factory with only 20 to 30 workers.

This is reason why people make movies of a couple dancing around trees. If population wants change they should accept the experimental movies released.

What you said about Tamasha, I felt the same. This movie will question the life you lived, the life you are living, the life you will live and life you want to live. It is difficult to present such a complicated theme, but Imtiaz Ali did it beautifully.

Devadoothan a 2000s Malayalam classic which is admired by our generation but failed when it released is also an underrated movie. Its a horror/musical/romance /thriller. The movie has music as its soul❤

It is Very Difficult for Filmybuff like Me to watch South Cinemas Superstars Interview cause they aren't available in English and Subtitles were also not there But I love the fact that everyone in Down South Respect and Love their native Language not like Bollywood Guys who so called worked in Hindi cinema where no one speaks in Hindi.

One more film that aimed for a six but unfortunately filed somewhere I would say is KH's 'Uttama Villan'.. there are scenes that make me revisit the movie again and again (epic writing i would say) but there are sections that I just skip through.

RGV just smashed the ball out of the park from the very first ball I’d say. Shiva is a movie which is an important testimonial for those who wanna be a filmmaker/Screen writer/Director. You just sit and watch that movie thoroughly, I promise, you’ll get to learn many important aspects of filmmaking. I’m always very curious about the technicalities going on behind the movie and it’s outcome or the presentation & Shiva is just the proper learning book of it. I saw the movie when I was 14 & I enjoyed like normal any other movie but then when I watched it after 15 years it just amazed me in so many ways. Let it be the screenplay, direction, utilisation of bgm that too with required amount which had absolutely great impact on the respective scenes, then the camera work, scene presentation, it’s rawness & most importantly it’s Action sequences. Fabbbbb !!!

Since we saw Farhan talk about how his film is classic now, lemme tell you about what 'Ulidavaru Kandante' Rakshit Shetty said in a event organized in my college.
He was addressing us college students and I think it was about giving up or something but what he said was this(paraphrasing) -- I know my movie flopped when it came out, but I know for sure that all who have watched and liked it have done it one their laptops and not the theaters.

Fan was too good. Especially for Srk the actor. Don't think he'll ever come across something as challenging as Aryan/Gaurav. I'm glad he did it. And it had probably the best use of prosthetics+vfx I've seen on Indian screen till date.

Thank god i m not the only one who faced shit for calling Tamasha one of the finest films ever. There are two films in my life which when i watched them, i couldn't stop crying for hours, one was Forrest Gump and the other was this film, and i feel no shame whatsoever. I have kindof now started seeing other people's pov on why the film didn't work for them, but I still stand with my original opinion. Another thing is that I have never rewatched Lakshya and Tamasha precisely because i know that original feeling will never come back, and so i have stored them away into a precious treasure of good memories
