Who else is from vancouver and thinks there are more places to showcase??
Lol I'm from Toronto but ik there r better places
They can't showcase every place in a video. . .
yes
I feel these restaurants were a bit weak to showcase but that's just my opinion
Vie Colorée I guess I mean more representative of vancouver, I feel like these are tourist traps and not where locals would go
Y'all should've got the poutine from costco.
Lol, love your name and I totally agree! It's pop! 😂😂
Hahaha NO
Its called soda, not pop dammit
well technically soda is a chemical or carbonated water or flavoUred carbonated water. Pop is just flavoUred carbonated water.
Snowy Mapping nice emphasis on the "U" lmao
I’m from Vancouver and there are better places to eat than these spots...
animallover1999 And better cities to go to
Have you had Jethros brunch, or rocky mountain flatbread? Those are two of my favourites
if you want great chinese visit western lake
i feel like the the tourist attraction behind the food was the main part rather than the actual meal
AllycatlovesAG Jethro’s is a favourite for sure!
Marutama’s seriously one of the best soup noodle I’ve ever had...I used to love pho so much I’d eat it twice a week but marutama tops that for me.
I really dont get all the hate towards alexis, true she may not be the best host, but shes definitely not doing anything that warrants all the hate.
Livi Villacorta you are Alexis that’s why
She’s fake as fuck
I like Alexis and the other videos she's in but I can't disagree with the other comments at all. She really seems to embody the "fake white girl" stereotype in this series and I hate that because that's not who she is
@@MrDeadshotHD Why Keep Watching Then?
Jaleousy. She’s everything these people will never be.
Pearl: “rich and creamy, but also not too heavy...”
Alexis: “this is really really good”
Did you listen to what she said after that?
There’s two types of people
Dude you don’t go to Vancouver for poutine!!! Go to Québec!!!
I go to Quebec for the WHORES... not the poutine
Yeah poutine come from quebec
You go to Montreal for a real good poutine come on 😜
Laura Rosa - Toronto is the second next to YUL. I tried every single poutine in the 6ix.
@@SilverPlaqueVII good for you 👍 at the end of the day, poutine is great 👌
Pearl is definitely making this episode more fun to watch. BTW Alexis does know that there are other seasons in Canada besides winter, right?
Lol I just meant when everything she ate reminds her of "Canadian winter night" / "cold Canadian night". Surely she can do better than that.
@@erikcai2639 Especially on the west coast, which is known for the best weather in Canada, and specifically our summer..
it's been 11 months but it's pretty much 3 weeks of summer, 9 months of winter, shit ton of rain and the rest is wildcard. Vancouver is wildcard
I lived in Vancouver for 3 years and it rarely gets below zero there. I just wore a rain jacket throughout the whole winter. I didn't even need a winter coat. Btw, I'm from Québec.
Actually, there are also good comments from her. Like how good the food is, how the taste balanced or things like that. But the problem is she doesn't look so genuine, it feels very scripted, her body just moves too much when she's talking, she keeps bobbing her head, she talks so fast that affects the pacing of the video. Because of her fast script the video looks fast also. And its not good if you want to showcase a beauty of a place. People just won't appreciate it. Well, this is not a hate comment, i just want to tell my observations. There is always room for improvement Alexis. Hope you do better next time :)
She needs to relax, she is trying too hard and it doesn't seem genuine. I think if she just was herself, she would be much better. The people she invites usual talk more natural and she has this nervous energy. All it would take is some practice from her, she can get better.
I think you would enjoy her more on the appliance show:)
@Aruna yes
Wow. I could think of way more iconic meals you would have to have before any of those 3 spots. Did those restaurants pay for being in this video?
This is an underrated comment
True
Exactly what I was thinking.
brian with the savage comment hahahah
I'd have gone to the wall flower
they did vancouver so dirty with this episode ....
and the way alexis talked made it seem like she was reading off a script but not very well lol
I really enjoy the explanations from each chef/owner and how authentic, calm, and informed they are. It helps to balance out the anxiety that arises from the other elements of this episode.
Okay how do I get a job at Tasty
@Angela_diy onofras says the person who made a video about talking tom gold rush
@@profilepicture828 XD
Lol
Lê Kim Khánh you need to apply Buzzfeed, and Buzzfeed is Tasty
@Angela_diy onofras your a jerk
Whenever I watch these I really see the passion Alexis has for food. She really lives her job and you can see that.
“On a cold, winter Canadian night”. You’re in Vancouver 🙄 what cold?
Technically Vancouver is the culinary city of Canada get your facts straight
dude, Vancouver may be less colder then other provinces, but it still gets cold. It's not just like hot all the time
@@aristeus2546 I lived in Vancouver for 3 years and it rarely gets below zero there. I just wore a rain jacket throughout the whole winter. I didn't even need a winter coat. Btw, I'm from Québec.
Yessss, David has to make a series like this one. 😍
take a shot every time she says 'sooo' #oneminuteinandschwasted
Instead of just giving the feedback that it "just feels fake", I'll just say that I stopped this video at 2:20 right after the first poutine dish. From the little I watched, neither of them seemed that interested in the poutine after one or two bites even though the video is named "world-famous poutine". No background, no history, no interview of why the poutine is famous except for learning about bison. We learned that the host and her friend liked it but after dipping from one bite it didn't actually seem that interesting. That's my feedback on why the host/show feels fake from just 2 mins. I hope this show gets better because Tasty produces some good content.
Please do more of the I draw you cook..... Please please
Yes i love those
With Alix and rie
Yes pleaseeee it's the best😂😍
I Draw, You Cook is back! Catch up on all of the episodes here: ua-cam.com/video/3y4zkCUH0fA/v-deo.html
I prefer Stiven,Andrew and Adam
the overuse of 'Soooo' is really irritating
Loved the video, of course there are always other places to show in one city, but i enjoyed the ones you guys show cased and everything looked really really good
Love this! Vancouver,Canada is amazing!! 😍
Sha&Shan DIY not really, there is nothing to do
Wow such a downer
Beautiful place for Vaca but can’t live there for shit. Too expensive
Frityet where do u live anyway?
I agree! Vancouver is awesome! I love living in Vancouver
Whenever I watch videos of Tasty channel I feel hungry . I don't know why ....
You should Google your symptoms.
angel panna Hmm...maybe because they show good food?
@@zhaviyaotsu6483 That's overreacting. Anybody can get hungry watching other people eating/making good food.
MAYBE CAUSE THE CHANNEL POSTS FOOD VIDEOS?
Great shots of the gardens on the patio at Grouse that the team and I planted...! Shoutout to Chef Dino. Loved to see this perspective of the city. Marutama is the best ramen in the city hands down .
Love it. You're doing great Alexis, seems like you guys had so much fun visiting places and eating those delicious food. You guys did your best, keep it up!
You should have come to Montréal in Québec! it's closer to the town where poutine has been invented, Drummondville! :)
It’s so cool to see Vancouver in tasty videos! Its where I grew up!
i’m watching this late at night and craving marutama now. la belle patate is also a really good poutine spot!
Actually it isn't respectul to slurp in japan. Its just normal to them. It isn't actually a complement to the chef.
As far as I know (ive been interested in Japanese culture for over 10 years) i think the idea is that, if youre slurping it, that means you like it. Youre showing the cook that youre enjoying it. You shouldnt forcible slurp if thats not your thing, especially since its considered rude to make noise when eating elsewhere, but like you said, its normal and accepted there. But who knows, maybe the chef does love hearing people chow down their food quickly! 😁
It's such a gross noise
Nothing to do with respect nor a compliment to the chef. It’s simply the easiest way to capture the noodles and the soup in the same time. People have accepted the slurping cause it’s the most practical way to eat ramen.
Excited for this!! I live close by to this beautiful city.
Just so happened to come across this video…heading there - Vancouver - in about a month. Going to all of these places. Thanks Tasty 😋
Never wouldve thought that my hometown would make it to Tasty!! Also marutama is so good
I love poutine! I've tried it when I went to Quebec a few years back!
Been to vancouver once. Canada is so beautiful! I wanna go back explore more.
Went for the first time back in March. Easily one of the most beautiful cities I’ve seen in ambience and climate.
Highly recommend The Jam cafe near Chinatown!
Great video, so glad that you were able to highlight some of the amazing spots here. I just finished my updated Vancouver travel guide too that features local food and activities that are a must see!
Is she even eating? She just seems to taste those food. Anyway, the food really looks tasty. It makes me hungry.
The poutines bowls were shown to be empty, the ramen half empty. Do you believe they just tossed the food? Which would mean they bought her a separate lunch, right?
Or maybe, since this isn't a mukbang, it isn't worth showing us all the eating.
I went to the suspension bridge it is an amazing way to see BC in a beautiful way
This is fine dining! The designs are so beautiful
great.....now its gonna be even harder to get a reservation at the restaurant on Grouse Mountain
seriously though, I am pumped that you guys made this video! I love eating here
This is my city and I haven't been to any of the restaurants mentioned! Added to the list! Like, Pearl said, we are so lucky here to have so many cultures contributing to the Grade A food scene we have here.
Vancouver doesn't have "cold, winter Canadian nights" lol
Aditya Jaykumar they should go to frickin Winnipeg man, it’s brutal
Love this series
Going to Vancouver to try poutine for the first time... something doesn't add up.
when in vancouver vist western lake. they have best chinese food
Aww I needed this a few months ago when I went to Vancouver! 😂
It makes me hungry in midnight 😀😀
Oooh I live in Vancouver!!!
its 10:00 am, im hungry AF and the first thing i do is watch this new tasty video
literally way more restaurants in vancouver to go to
my name is alexis. hire me to do this job. i’ll do it better.
Same, I'm Alexis and a foodie from Vancouver! Lol
Someone actually came to vancouver!! People usually over-look vancouver, so thank you for doing this!
All of that looks good to me. I've yet to try a cheese curd, unless I didn't know it
the show is really scripted
TRXN45 bc it’s sponsored
And who every heard of a scripted commercial, right?
I didn't know a tasty producer is visiting Vancouver right now!
Wow.. The place is so beautiful!!! ❤❤😊😍
I LOVE MARUTAMA RAMEN! Can't never get enough!
That is my fav ramen spot too! Best Ramen in Vancouver
I've had that poutine, it's BOMB. Ugh, I want to go back!!
I find the host a bit irritating
She is just overeacting on everything
Just shaking a lot
😏
Yep, kinda makes it very staged
@@zhaviyaotsu6483 even if it's a joke, that's disrespectful.
Manjiri Kandalgaonkar Don’t be jealous😂

Omg this omg that
I enjoyed watching this.
As a non-native English speaker, Canadians' pace is a real deal o.o
Yay Vancouver is amazing ❤️❤️
I also love here
Yummy bois
Edible Canada is one of my favourite places and I got engaged on Grouse mountain.
I had 2 ads about Friend in Town America Express
What a nice food , place , amusement and hmmm weed
I luv Canada 🇨🇦
Fuck you
Poutine in Vancouver? Com'on! Montreal is the real place for POUTINE!
James Zu - Why not Toronto? Even dem yutes in Scarborough or Rexdale have restaurants lol.
"It feels like a chicken is hugging you"- MOST UNRELATABLE COMMENTARY EVER!!!? how the heck am I supposed to know how it tastes from that lol
I love these videos 😄
You should try going to Quebec, they actually know how to pronounce poutine the right way XD
I don’t understand the need for people to comment saying ‘FIRST’
Ellie Kaminska-Moult ikr. It’s just annoying.
is it your first day on the day internet? Wholly fuck get over it
Just for fun
Hundrettwenyseventh
If you don't try it you will never understand
I now have to go to these places!
You guys should come to Montreal quebec and try the poutine
Next time go to Lynn Canyon. The bridge is lower, but it's not nearly as crowded so you're not competing for space and you can enjoy the park more. And its free admission!
I live on vancouver island so this is pretty cool
if you ever come back try this place called Cactus Club Cafe or something like that
i love alexis she is so funny
Omg the ramen looks so delicious
Come to Toronto soon! So much good food!
Marutama is my favourite ramen in this city! Great choice!!!!
Hey what’s up tasty. You guys make great content so keep up the good work
I like Alexis. She has a positive energy😀
So Uhhh, How much is it, to go to Canada?
In Jackson Hole, Wyoming I had waffles 10,450 feet in the air on Mt. Rendezvous. You can go there and eat waffles.
Where is RIE?!!
Right? I say the same thing on every Tasty video and get thousands of likes. Tasty: why are you not listening? 🤔
Ikr? She’s like the queen of this channel and should be in every video
Welcome to YVR! Next time, you should do the 6ix/YYZ Alexis. Poutine is my flagship dish!
I was just watching an episode of friend town and then an advertisement just pop out for FRIENDS TOWN and America express
Oooh I love these vids
Never heard a chef call it So-rrell before. Must be a fancy version of the herb Sorrel other chefs use lol.
You guys should do one for Miami since it’s very diverse food wise
oh hey i live an hour away from Vancouver. i never go there cause traffic is so horrible but i sometimes want to brave it just so i can actually have an actual bowl of ramen. and i haven't been to Grouse Mountain since i was a kid. i remember a really big moth landed on me and i wanted to take it home ( i was 6 don't judge ) but my dad shooed it awayl
Well if it’s a must-have why can’t I get it _hmmmmm_
I am usually disappointed when people try some fancy variation of poutine (or, much worse, poutine from McDonald's) as their first poutine, but this bison poutine actually looks really good. Cheers from Montréal.
Anyone else who doesnt really care for this series? It's like a short lived travel channel tv show.
Early yay love you guys tasty
Canada crew where you at
That look very delicious😋
That ramen looks amazing!
I would so try they cheese curd thing. I thought it was fries at first😏
