From wearing a sarong to painting his nails pink, he's been seen as a supporter of the LGBT community. David Beckham was named one of the ambassadors for the 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar which has been criticized for its human rights record. Sir Elton John is the godfather of David Beckham's two sons, Brooklyn and Romeo. Beckham became the first heterosexual footballer to appear on the front cover of a gay magazine in 2002 when he was given the captain's armband of the England football national team. David Beckham was named a top ally at the British LGBT+ Awards in 2018.
The former England captain also celebrated Gay Pride in 2014 by posting a picture of the rainbow flag on his Facebook page. In an interview with Elle in 2016, Victoria said her husband likes to steal her make-up and skincare products. David Beckham opened up about how football came with a lot of discrimination back then, specifically homophobia and racism but he also talked about how much it improved when it comes to acceptance and respect. This came after reflecting on Jake Daniel coming out as gay. David Beckham: "Coming out shouldn't be a hard thing to do".

I think its okay that he is the ambassador for Qatar FIFA - Soccer is his first passion, i think he is allowed to support that too - He became the ambassador for the sport (and probably money) not because he supports Qatar’s conservative law
