- New iPad setup. With some new additions to the setup, I decided to revamp the work from home iPad setup. As much as I love using my Mac studio for everything there’s just something about photo and design work on the iPad that just adds some fun
Also been loving the airplay to Mac feature as it helps create the wireless setup.

@@GR-ir2bunah you cant do the same tasks from an ipad on a windows laptop...because windows laptops dont support ipad apps and you cant draw on a windows laptop. Plus all the good app makers...make apps for mac 1st, not windows and sometimes they dont even release a windows version. Why? B/c windows sucks. 😂 if you have to use windows, you do. But if u can try mac, you do and u never go back

Why people are obsessed with wealth and status ? Apple isn’t some luxury brand in fact I found it cheaper compared to Samsung or another brand. The iPhone and Mac is actually useful the rest is only comfort and optional

I think MacBook Air M1 will be a way better choice for a such setup. Using iPads since 2011, they are great, but not for a desktop, even with the Stage Manager.

Noo the m1 air sucks monkey nuts and compared to the utilization, and optimization that the apps contribute to workflow on the ipad. The performance is unparalleled in that price category, I'd say if you want a laptop get a m3 max or a m1 ultra, if you want a cheap productivity setup get the m1 ipad pro and add accessories! No disrespect btw just happily sharing my opinion! CHEERS!
I don't know, I think that for a very basic user level or for simple photo editing it fulfills its function. The only thing I would change would be to put a normal arrow and not the transparent dot.

@Guts that true, but different people have different idea of what they using, iPad is a super gaming tablet and super drawing tablet, we can argue all day long for how the better hardware but in the end, people Will buy something because they in need of the thing they buy
@Guts There's always that one kid that brings up "gaming". Not all of us game, kid. Some of us have a job, we might be designers or editors that have a need for ios/macos exclusive programs such as procreate or final cut... which are WAY cheaper programs than adobe products btw

I've been able to get good work done on it as a college student...it's lighter than a laptop and has great battery life....writing code works fine on it and then yes I can always just close my work down and relax with something on UA-cam....I do have a full PC set up as well tho for when I need to work for extended hours or require multiple screens....but the iPad really is a good alternative for a laptop(i do also have a keyboard, stand, and apple pencil, dont need mouse personally). I'm still hopeful one day it'll come with a true desktop OS because I prefer this to carrying around a laptop
@@usienwkdau2jfb28u4bit will never come with a desktop OS, that’s what Macs are for. U can partially use the iPad as an alternative to the Mac but you’ll be stuck when you need to download certain software that are only available for pc Mac like respondus lockdown, given ur a student. Apart from that, iPadOS is a bootleg (kinda) version of MacOS that will get u thru college. The touch screen an Apple Pencil are a plus compared to a Mac.

It looks fancy but actually trying to work like this is so limited and such a pain.
iPads now have monitor support, meaning your monitor will function as an extension instead of just screen mirroring.
@@whengrapespop5728 I know, this is what I tried for a while but the OS is still so restricted. The web browser is awful as well. Safari works best in a desktop layout but most sites for development don’t support it and chrome is unusable with a mouse in the tablet format

I love my iPad for university. sometimes I even use a vm to code with it. It’s really useful for my degree as a cs and physics major which I changed to cs and stats and it still is really useful for my use. If u aren’t doing a lot of writing I would recommend a laptop not even a MacBook because the good one is like 3000 dollars Canadian. You can get a laptop (windows) with an i7 that has 14 cores 3070 16 gb ram for around 1500-1700 Canadian (including taxes) which is way better then a MacBook.
I paid 800 bucks for an i7 11th gen and rtx 3070 Laptop and as a bonus it has a 4K oled display and a 99.9wh battery, when set to battery mode it lasts just as long as a MacBook

Idk about the m1 iPad Pro, but my m2 iPad Pro allows me to use windowed apps like on a Mac to have 2 separate displays. That might improve the setup even more. I love th whole setup tho. Dream Asthetic here. ❤

That looks like a projector, with the max M1 somewhere that it’s connected to. The picture is great. When you’re working with details like you can see he is while editing photos, it’s oftentimes extremely helpful if not necessary to see a bigger version. Not only does it help with perspective but it aids in the creative process! So maybe don’t knock it when ya don’t know next time!
