These looks great!
Before you buy this product keep in mind that it has a fatal flaw. I had mine for about 6 months now and to my surprise, the plastic thing that holds together the headband and the ear cup broke. The headphones were used only at my desk for video editing. I'm very disappointed but luckily there are two options: 1st Rode offers a life time warranty or 2nd option you can download from the internet free 3D files to print those pieces and just replace them, but not sure if they will last too long.
Edit: Don't get me wrong, headphones are amazing for their price, it's just that design flaw that might hold you back from buying the NTH-100

You can hear when I speak “p, t, k, b, d, g” not sure if would enough for your needs but for me was good for my calls! Personal opinion
So what happens if I buy the microphone piece alone and plug it into my Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones. Technically, would it work? 🤔
Hi, would it not be better to buy the microphone separate if the NTH-100m is similarly priced (only $3.65 more for the NTH-100 + separate NTH-MIC), because you get an extra cable?! (the 2.4m cable is $31, and the 1.2m cable is $29)... Rode NTH cables are expensive, and is good to have a "normal" TRS 3.5mm as backup...
I wanted to by but what is that twisting the mic hearing that crackle sound and that it has to be in perfefct position to work well, sound well? Turned me off :(

@@luizhribeiro You might be interested in testing the Maxwell too, if Audeze will lend you a review unit. The mic doesn't sound as good as that of the NTH-100M, but it uses dark sorcery to eliminate background noise (which isn't a problem for you in your studio, but can be a problem for a lot of other people):

is there a way to hook this up for zoom calls? is there an special adapter needed?
Everything comes on the box with the device. You can definitely use for calls just changing the audio input to the mic.
I'm not here to stop you from enjoying your RODE products, however, before you but this Headphone, make sure you do some research as I have bought the NTH-100 (first generation with no mic) and the design is bad for the FitLock system. It will break pretty easy from casual use (I kept mine on a stand and only used them at my desk). Mine lasted for about a month and I had to send them back to the seller and get a refund. Also, if you look into it you'll see this is a very common issue not an isolated case.
Even tho RODE offers life time warranty, it is not very practical to send my headphones for a replacement every 1-2 months for the rest of my life...I need a reliable pair as I use them for work and cannot afford to not have them for a couple of weeks while I wait for the replacement.
Don't get me wrong, I love everything about these, ear cups material and comfort, design, sound quality, cable entry for both sides, a lot of great things about these... I just simply wish they would address the real issue with these, maybe they did, but from how the design looks it seems the headphone are exactly the same just with a mic added... if that's the case, expect your lock in system plastic to break in about 4-8 weeks (might last longer if you're lucky)
Just left this comment here since I would've loved to see this when I was searching on UA-cam for a pair of headphones and thought the Rode NTH-100 was the perfect choice for me.

@@luizhribeiro happy to hear that. After I ordered mine I was looking into some cable options and saw a review mentioning this problem, then I looked into it more and found out it’s very common. I was hoping mine won’t have the issue but they ended up having it 🥲
Chiming in here... I had a warranty issue with my first pair of NTH-100's, same issue as described here, both sides cracked after only a month or so of use. They were replaced by RODE several months ago under warranty, and the replacement pair have shown no signs of cracking thus far so I do wonder if the initial batch had weaker plastic for whatever reason. I'd be keen to see how other users have gotten on with them, especially those whom have had warranty replacements of the first release. :)

Why not use the v-moda boom pro? It’s cheaper, sounds better AND isn’t locked in to just one headphone. This is a gimmick of a product.
