Loved that video and thanks for the shout out :-) Crosswind landing is definitely a learnt skill and through experience you get to feel the wind and adapt the aircraft's heading and attitude to maintain a track all the way down to the touch down zone. Looks like you were nailing the wing down method well there Martin and as you say keep stretching those skills. Great editing as well.
@@stratotramp6243 it's magic. Not plugging a video but I did a video with my instructor on how to land x wind in some really strong winds. Its easier to show than try and explain.ua-cam.com/video/YmM6SLSn6gA/v-deo.html

I remember the video you caught of me hitting the 1st bump!
Crosswind landings and take offs always focus the mind. At least you have a rudder. 😂.
What do you do without!!!?

nice!! you certainly like crosswind landings. I find I crab more on the approach as it feels more intuitive, but TO I am always wing down.
At sackville it's a bit of a mix tbh, as final cut in half with dogleg. Sometimes wing down, sometimes I have to salvage with kick 🤣
Very sensible comments and looks like some good decision making.👍👍💜
I'd love to live in that house at the runway threshold ✌️👍😉💜😄
I'm in the red zone just watching from my armchair😟
Keep your eyes 3/4 shut, and you will improve your capability.
Nice video.
Need to get up again. Been grounded for about a month 😂
@@stratotramp6243 Bad weather? I've got a Night Flight tomorrow evening for a quick jaunt down to the Severn Bridges and back to Glos.
