I got 1.37 into the video and stopped to say how much I recognise the technique. My own teacher (Master in my eyes) let me start from scratch then gently guided me to more difficult techniques on forming my dragon heads. The way you did it is very close to my best effort. It looks better than mine, and the finished effect is about ten levels above me. Respect from a beginner in the craft, hopefully my sculpts will get a bit better with some practice.
100% would love a longer video of the head and feet! Also that would be really cool to get one of those bottle openers! Thanks Daniel for all the great content, love watching your videos!
That bottle opener and the two dragon heads are the dogs' blocks man. Congratulations on a job well done. If I get picked in the raffle, I'd just take one of the heads with a crook in it in bar form so I could incorporate it into a cane as a cane head.
Man, a dragon head bottle opener will be a beautiful addition to my collection. As a German guy, you can't have enough bottle openers. I really would like to see a video with step for step details how to make it. Fantastic work. Metal sculpting is really a nice aspect of blacksmiths work.
Hi Dan, love the twist and it would be great to see the whole job on video in more detail. I reckon that it could be easily adapted to become a kangaroo bottle opener with a few tweaks for all us aussies watching and learning over here. Well done mate.
Daniel, c'est toujours un plaisir de voir vos vidéos. Je me fais un devoir de vérifier quotidiennement si vous avez de nouvelles choses à nous présenter. Toujours un grand plaisir à vous découvrir à travers vos œuvres.
I love animal sculpting..particularly dragons. I made a dragon poker for a friend but with just a plain twist handle. That scale twist is off the chart....! More please
I've been interested in blacksmithing since I was a kid I am more interested in blades and swords and have been having ago on and off for years using a very primative forge (bricks and camping foot bellows) with occasional good results. I have watched alot of UA-cam videos over the last month as am having another go and I've learnt loads from you, haven't been able to put much into practice yet but your incredibly talented and a good teacher unlike some kid who jumps around his expensive machines. If you want to do it keep the videos coming, your a good teacher for us amature enthusiasts am definitely trying the scales and buying a brass brush.
Really nice, congratulations! I would like to see a full tutorial on how to do this entire bottle opener, even if I will probably teribly fail by trying this! Sorry for my english and keep doing your videos !
Thanks Dan loved the scales, my gas forge will be a problem I think I probably have to use a gas torch. Would love to see the Dragons head make. Keep up the excellent work and stay safe.
That is one of the coolest things i have ever seen. Not only is functional but its also a work of art. Truly stunning. Honestly id buy one of those dude
That, sir, is a right proper dragon! As always, your attention to detail is inspiring, and I would love a more in-depth look at how you forged the dragon's head. Thanks!
Ok well here's 999 likes plus one to grow on!!! Wholey Dragon noggins w bottle biters!!! That there is one of the most awesome bottle opener in the whole of UK. Course I never been there but still I've not a single doubt. Of course I'd like to be the Proud new Keeper of the Dragon ( every body who's any body knows we dont own dragons...they choose to stay w us !) If luck be smiling my way he shall have the most honored place in Dragonstone Ironworks. 🙏well wishes and blessings to you and your lady Crawford out 🧙♂️
I absolutely love this bottle opener. And I would really like to see the details on how to do each component. And a highlight on what tools will be needed.
That looks amazing Dan and in line with what I want to do as an Old Timer Novice I'm retired and just took hobby smithing last year. I'm not strong enough to forge heavy items anymore so going for decorative and creative things.Would really love to see a more detailed viveo on the Dragons Head and a close up of your punches and drifts you used to make it. Oh legs too if you plan a video on that Thanks for sharing it with us. Very educational
