@@jemzbundzdobo7310 The thing you need to understand is that the Jedi at this point have not fought a lightsaber-wielding opponent in nine hundred years. Those centuries of peace made the Jedi complacent and caused them to lose their edge. Meanwhile, the Rule of Two allowed the Sith to adapt and evolve into something significantly different from what they were nine hundred years ago. It is as Bane said to Batman in The Dark Knight Rises: "Peace has cost you your strength. Victory has defeated you."

if the show remains accurate to history and lore, none of the jedi should be able to defeat this sith because they said obi-wan became the first jedi to defeat one in a thousand years. this show is only 100 years before revenge of the sith.
Maybe not individually. As a group they are a threat. I suspect he kills most of them and runs away as more Jedi show up.
Hah. About that.
@@malchalatibut if there are jedi that survives this encounter, then it will break the lore from phantom menace that stated darth maul was the first sith appeareance after 1000 years.

Dude this scene is amazing. The tension build up from Mae discovering the dead body and the Jedi surrounding her, the creepy music, the darksider aopearing in the background and out focus, him floating down and walking towards Osha as she's sweating in fear. It's really well done.
Say what you will about the show but they nailed the build up to The Master.
Mae finds Kelnacca dead as night falls. Sol senses something and they see something floating to the ground. The Master slowly approaches them and without saying a word. Osha is scared as The Master stands inches from Osha. He ignites the saber, briefly tricking the audience that he killed her, then throws Osha with the force by barely moving his hand. The Jedi charge and pushes all the Jedi back.
Perfect introduction.
I only wish this was the first time we saw him. Like never show him in the promotion/trailers aside from his lightsaber. We only here his voice in the first episode. Then end of episode 4, their he is.
The Sith or whatever he is was genuinely creepy and great cliffhanger.
Yeah :( It makes me sad cause this whole scene right here is like, VERY competently done. It's the kind of villain reveal that would be LEGENDARY in a show that was just... better all around. Instead this A++ design is like to be swept away with the rest of the shows failings, and we'll inevitably return to the cluttered mess of Skywalker soup timeline crap that we DESPERATELY need to stay away from for this franchise to grow... *Sigh* he's the coolest Sith Design by a mile. 'Smilo Ren' for sure... but it's effectively creepy as SHIT.
Completely agree I will give props to anyone who made this scene...it was actually well made, and in my opinion those who say he was flying he could be just descending slowly...although there is a moment where it looks like he is floating
This show is trash.
I agree, if we hadn't seen anything of the stranger in trailers and promos, it would've made this scene a lot scarier and more impactful. We wouldn't know what to expect.
Too bad the show itself isn't nearly as good as this guy 😢
It’s almost like he slowly approaches Osha to study her. As if he’s wondering to himself, “why would my apprentice betray me for you?” I think he’s using the force to sense the bond he has with Osha as well as Osha’s connection to the force. I think once he comes to his conclusion he ignites his saber, almost like an act to show Osha the nature of the darkside and where in lies that power. It’s almost like he’s saying, “so you think the Jedi will protect you, stand aside and watch.” Then proceeds to obliterate the Jedi. The next episode is going to open with pure carnage.
Let’s see
This is my favorite description of this scene. It’s 100% accurate.

@@OTOVOX PURE CARNAGE
I really feel there has to be a force dyad between either Osha and Mae, or Osha and Qimir. He didn't for a second thank Osha was Mae the first time they met, he knew she was alive which can be two reasons the dyad or he was there that day the fire happened. He would have been between 16-18 yrs old if he's 32-34 now. He could have been a padawan like Torbin, or he could have been a secret friend Osha was meeting at that tree when she ran off from time to time. If the jeti were fighting amongst themselves, qimir could have disagreed with the higher up jeti, Corbin also disagreed but went along with it, but felt shame later.
The master is clearly that potions guy I feel
My exact thought
When you google Manny Jacinto, he does look super hot, so if he does pull a kooky Yoda/master Yoda reveal, it will be mind blowing. I hope his dorky high school hair cut and beard is a lame disguise. He does have a chiseled jaw line underneath.
Or Disney could be consistent and trample all over the one of the best moments and greatest twists in Star Wars... again. In other words I have a feeling that "No, I am your mother!" has a high chance of being uttered.
@@arcc4 no kidding, one of the moms is Darth maul species. Of course Disney would DEI that shit on us.
Nah its Darth Plagueis by a mile. Qimir definitely tipped him off about what Mae was gonna do but he is wayyyy too cowardly to be a sith of any kind and he wouldnt be powerful enough to keep it hush hush like palpatine.
maybe the best intro for a force user in SW lore yet ... that was genuinely frightening the first time .... he's already one of my favorite Sith Lords ever ...
Now THAT is how you introduced a main villain. Both sides were travelling the hole episode to find kelnacca... only to find him dead. This guy was ten steps ahead of everyone and the fact that there wasn't any sign of struggle around kelnacca implies it was very easy for the sith to kill him. Now, take that alongside that entrance: the sun goes down and from the shadows comes this masked guy FLOATING behind osha... that defentely broke the show's childish tone. Perfect character introduction 🙌

@@Julio-Ces4r Which is still perfectly accurate, because I'd almost guarantee everyone that fights Smiles is going to die. So the wider Jedi Order will never know about his existence.
The thing you need to understand is that the Sith have so far spent the last nine hundred years accumulating dark side knowledge and power. This Sith Lord is the culmination of that knowledge and power. The Sith are just a century away from pulling off their Grand Plan and will grow stronger by then. This Sith Lord is not yet at the level of Darth Sidious, but he is pretty close.
No that doesn't make any sense. The only sith lord who ever showed power like this was vitiate and vitiate was an ancient sith and considered to be the most powerful sith in galactic history.
He got the power through a ritual that left the planet nathema uninhabitable and void of the force. He also sucked the life force of 8000 sith lords.
That was the only way to perform such high feat force powers.
But this sith did nothing like this, how the hell is he as powerful as vitiate.

F for Kelnaca
We see him fighting someone in a preview. I am assuming in a flashback at the witches coven.
The problem with a series format is that this story is clearly a movie script but stretched, and the fakeouts deflate really fast because they don't have a fulfilling impact "later". We never saw Kelnacca do anything, and yet he's already dead. Anything cooler involving him will be shown after "current" events.
The same didn't apply to Indara, whose final fight was awesome.

@@oXRaptorzXo It’s quite literally in revenge of the sith multiple times
@@Cosmolax …what? I’ve seen ROTS a million times and they do not ever speak of a force barrier.
Force users have shields when facing another force user in battle. It's why they use lightsabers over just battling with the force purely. Obi-Wan and Anakin repel each other with push and they're both strong enough to break through the respective shields.

So I have a theory. Maybe this Sith tried to execute a Grand Plan like Sidious but failed. The Jedi Order burried the case, thinking they destroyed the Siths for good, but this Sith had a very well prepared and well trained apprentice. This apprentice could be Darth Tenebrous.
Maybe, but nowadays Disney seems won’t give a shit, and keeps ruining the franchise
I remember someone said to describe Dagan Gera was “if that’s a High Republic Jedi then I don’t know want to know what a High Republic Sith is like” And this is the answer. The era where the Jedi are their most powerful but also the Sith as well.
They weren’t the most powerful per se, just the height of their collective abilities and authority. Dagan, I assume was one of the few special ones. Probably would have been on the council had he not gone crazy. Or been recruited by a Sith Lord.

-Look, I have a red lightsaber!
-OMG, HE'S GONNA USE IT! LET'S IGNITE OURS!
-Uh, no. I just wanted to make clear that I'm the bad guy.
Gotta admit.. thats was dope 👌
Yep same do I
Same here👍
Yeah, see? Even if this show has a few tad moments, it's still rather decent and if not enjoyable while not being bitter
"Impossible. The Sith have been extinct for a millennium." -Master Ki-Adi-Mundi, Episode I: The Phantom Menace (32 BBY)
So this guy maybe not a sith?
@@OTOVOX It will certainly be interesting to see how they reconcile this.
Man, this scene was so good.
Umm fair I will say
Hope next episode be better
@@OTOVOX Doubt the show will get any better, but we'll see. It seems like the show getting worse after each episode.
Notice the eyes, and also how he approaches her much like Qimir did in the shop, not to mention he was nowhere to be seen once the jedi arrived... I think we are seeing a page out of knights of the old republic here and Qimir is indeed "The Master"
Yes I agree let’s go Qimir
@@OTOVOX!!!!*******spoiler alert******""!!!!! Hahahaha!!! I called it!!!!
@@Skurrr86 yep I watched it lol
that slow descent from the background is so good
It’s ok
@@OTOVOX it makes them feel extremely unnerving they're good at making horror with them at least
LOL
Acolyte is the best Star wars story in a while
Yes! Amazing!
At least it tried
You gotta be kidding
Why do I get the feeling that this series should have been released on Halloween?
That would´ve been perfect
Creepy Smiley Ren
I remember they did this for Rebels season 2 when they introduced the seventh sister
that whole scene felt just like the gentlemen from buffy the floating and the way the helmet looked like it was smiling. sent shivers
Nah you cant deny, this was cool
Also: no ome cant complain about levitating, we have seen jedi jump meters in the sky, it would seem reasonable that someone with more control of the force or knowledge could be able to levitate, not fly
You have your point man
They fly now
