Here are my worst moments on coasters: when people pull out their cell phones on lift hills and the operator comes on the loudspeaker telling them to put it away or else they’ll stop the ride. When people (especially girls) scream at the top of their lungs going up the lift hill and during the ride because it blows my eardrums out.
That happened to me on my 1st ride on Riddler's Revenge at SFMM: girls screaming on the lift hill and only screaming louder after I politely asked them to please stop screaming on the lift hill. I wanted to ring their necks.
Yep, about a month ago I went to Efteling for my first time in 11 years, and the last time I went I was 2 years old. I was pretty excited to go but I knew the lines were gonna be long that day. I decided to ride Joris En De Draak once and it was the biggest coaster I did as the rest was either down whenever I was near it or had ridiculously long lines. We went up the lift, a guy started filming for his tiktok views or something and we stopped on the lift. He stopped filming but when the other train started moving again, it took us 20 seconds until our train started moving too, killing the most fun part about Joris En De Draak. So thanks to this guy who wanted views I waited 50 minutes on Joris En De Draak and we weren’t even dueling
As someone who worked on Raptor in 2021, we called that last turn into the brakes the earthquake turn because the transition is so violent that it shakes the entire station, especially when we're only running 2 trains.
Yeah, the Gemini station sheik's a whole lot too, or maybe it was the corkscrew? I remember it used to be one of the ones I used to ride as a kid, and I remember asking myself if it used to do that when I was a kid and somehow I didn't notice it? Or just didn't remember it perhaps
My tip for the Raptor transition is to hold the sides of the restraint at the top and press inward (with some force) through the transition. This is my go-to "hard OTSR" technique, and it even works well for the Rougarou corkscrew (and the Corkscrew corkscrews for that matter) if you also sit up with your shoulders pressing the top of the restraint.
I think the worst part of Steel Vengeance is that step up -> turn -> step up, right before the mid course. But laterals have always been kinda painful for me, especially unexpected ones >.
Many of the rough bang your head parts of Rougarou are not because it's an unusually rough B&M, but because it was designed to be a standing coaster. I don't remember the name, but it only became Rougarou with the new paint scheme and seated floorless coaster it is now.
I didn’t think the loop on corkscrew was that rough. The roughest part for for me was the transition to the brakes after the double corkscrew. The head banging on that transition is insane.
"all this pain is eliminated and turned into floater airtime" Yeah idk about that bud, I've never felt anything more rough then the backseat of Magnum, that was by far the worst experience I've had on a coaster despite, yes, having had some decent airtime, the pain of getting whipped up and down into the lap restraint was horrendous.
The worst part on steel vengeance is the about 10 seconds before the midcourse, when the train twists hard to the right and then hard to the left. Whenever I take my beginner friends on the ride they always say that moment was painful.
5:37 what? Heresy! Gemini is the bomb! The Pinnacle of roller coaster development! How can you say such things! (And, I'm just now starting to hear your comments on cedar Creek mine ride, don't make me come over there!)
I think the weakest part of steel vengeance is that wacky worm pre lift section, none of those hills really give any airtime and they just kinda make you lurch forward like you’re coming fast into a break run
I know the girls who are guilty of this will admit it, yall don't scream at the top of your lungs cus you are scared you just scream at the top of your lungs just to do it
The worst part of Corkscrew is literally not being able to go into the trains because you're above 6' and no amount of pretzel-ing will get your legs to fit. Convinced the only two things keeping it around are legacy and being a nice walkway ornament.
The worst moment on nearly every Cedar Point coaster is the obnoxious lines that you have to wait in most of the year. Oh and when they break down when you waited in that line literally for hours or traveled across the country and burn through your savings just to go there and then the ride you wanted to go on most is down nearly the entire time you're there. Just saying. Also having a piece of a roller coaster fly off and smite you in the noggin disabling you for the rest of your life yeah that's a pretty bad moment too. Yes what I said was mostly a backhanded slap at Top Thrill Dragster but in general it's not wrong either. The first time I rode Raptor back in the 90s we waited in line for 3 hours and 45 minutes. It's a damn good thing the ride was incredible.
honestly for me, 99% of Magnum was the worst moment lol but i'm willing to go on it again if I ever make it out there in the future (sadly, I live 7 hours away :(
Pretty much spot on, only thing I would add, is my least favorite part of Steve is the double up into the midcourse. Being a bigger dude it just slams my hip into the side.
My biggest issue with Steel Vengeance is the last part of the double up, right before the midcourse brake run. I always get slammed into the side of the car at that part.
what about wood stock express or Wilderness Run i know there for kids but you shoud have put them on wild mouse was not open yet and the Top Thrill Dragster is closed for improvement
You nailed Rougarou. I'd have bruises the next day and know it was the corkscrew on Rougarou since I rode it more than any coaster there except Gatekeeper and Millennium Force and having ridden Raptor the most after Rougarou which wasn't as popular so it was always a walk on.
@@ya_boi_zach5140 I still like Rougarou best in the back but I doubts it’s corkescrew to be rough, but never managed to determine which side to sit on. So the right has less head banging then?
For SteVe, I'd argue those last airtime hills are the worst part. Not because they aren't well designed, because the restraints are only holding you by the thigh so you have all that force exclusively on your thighs thats so painful. I would love it if they had different restraints. Also for magnum, I think the whole coaster is really painful and uncomfortable. It just causes too much pain for us to ride it at all. (Not saying it should be removed, I think it is an amazing piece of coaster history and should be preserved as long as it can)

The key to avoiding head banging on the restraints of Rougaru and Raptor is to lean forward against the restraint keeping your head in front of the shoulder harness. It makes for a much more enjoyable ride.
Raptor is just a trashy experience overall after riding Banshee at ki. Oldest to newest. Night and day difference 20 years of design improvements makes.
The Mid Course on Raptor is the worst I don’t remember hitting my head on the final turn I’ve only been to Cedar Point twice first in 2013 and last in 2017
On Blue Streak, I vomited while waiting on the brakes to return to the station. I don't know if any specific element was to blame or if it was just that the restraint was pushing too hard on my guts for too long. Iron Dragon is boring but Blue Streak has to be my least favorite.
Haha, I think the turnaround is Blue Streak's only redeeming element. At least the drop off of it is the only hill on that ride that has ever given me any airtime.
I just started riding rollercoasters, so I only have been on Iron Dragon and Blue Streak so far (although I've gone on other rides). I still don't like the first drop that much, but I love the rest of Iron Dragon now. It's so fun! I went on Blue Streak because it looked fairly simple. I had heard it was rough, but some people seemed to love it, so I decided to try it for myself. I did enjoy it somewhat, but it was a bit uncomfortable. I think the worst part for me was the seat was so tight. I am fat and don't fit on some rides (including Mine Ride and Gemini, which I tried going on but the seatbelt didn't fit). With Blue streak, I almost couldn't sit down. The seatbelt and restraint fit, but I felt like I was so tightly in the seat that I didn't need the restraints. Iron dragons seats are much better. I wish I could go in Gemini and Mine Ride, but like I said, the seatbelt wasn't big enough. I was really disalpointed about Gemini. Since I'm still new to coasters, I was hyping myself up for it for like 15 minutes before getting in line and then sitting down and finding out I couldn't fit. 😞
only part on steel vengeance i dont like is the very end bunny hills, they just seem to aggressive with no sensation, if they had just one decent little airtime hill, or a bank that would have been a lot better imo
I have a controversial opinion on Rougarou. All of this ride is rough, shaky, rattly, and bumpy. Second worst B&M roller coaster I’ve ridden, behind Carowinds’s Vortex. Magnum XL-200 was nowhere near as bad as Rougarough. Sure, it may have some uncomfortable moments, but it’s a way better ride than this stupid piece of hot garbage. In my opinion, this takes the number two spot for worst coaster at Cedar Point, only behind Corkscrew.
@@JCBro-yg8vd That could be a possibility. This ride is starting to show its age, and the floorless trains are not running really well on the track. I could see Cedar Point tearing this ride down after the reimagined Dragster opens.
100% agree with you. It's a coaster that I actually refuse to ride, as every time I have ridden, I come off with a migraine, and have to take a break. I actually love Magnum. Maybe it's the nostalgia, or maybe it's just not that bad, but I always have a great time on it.
The worst moment on Gemini is the start to finish. It was great 40 years ago. Now, it's just an old, tired Arrow that doesn't do anything, isn't wood, isn't steel, and isn't a good idea. There are 400,000 other purposes for that plot of land, all of which could be a family coaster, which could actually do something. Wouldn't it be fun to see what RMC could do with a family racer coaster? Or even just a Keys-While-You-Wait stand? That would be more fun than Gemini.
The airtime hills on Magnum are the worst. Your thighs slam hard into the lap bar on each hill, hard enough to leave a bruise. I felt like suing the park for that one. It hurts. I rode it a lot way back when it first opened and it was not rough like that. I don't know what changed since but after these last two times, I am done with Magnum.
