Sam says that scenes in this production are intense so in other words, he was at home in those scenes due to his natural on-stage energy. He reminds me of no past actor except Laurence Olivier in “Wuthering Heights.” Olivier’s energy was acute and feverish during that performance which galvanized the viewer. Sam seems so ambient and flowing, ordinarily, but moves so easily into explosiveness onstage. He leaves me in a bit of a shock enough of the time. Sam possesses many qualities to draw upon which makes him an inarguably very gifted performer!
I believe he is underrated at this point of time. I watched Interview with the Vampire series and I have to say he has surpassed Tom Cruise in the movie of the same name
This was my first introduction to Sam Reid and I have admired and sought out other things he has been in. He is brilliant, charismatic and always shows his vulnerability in all his roles. This three part mini series was shown a few years ago in Australia in the cable service called Foxtel. It is a brilliant mini series and well worth trying to find it. I think it may be on various streaming services out of Australia such as Netflix, Amazon Prime etc.
Being an avid Anne Rice reader from the release of the first Vampire book , today upon the sad news of her passing at 80, I am happy she lived long enough to ink a deal for her two amazing collections ,The Mayfair Witches and Lestat the Vampire, knowing her son Christopher will over see production . IMO Sam portraying Lestat with his talent , poise , accent and over all looks will kill it ...🧛🏼♂️.....Tom Crusie was horrid in the role followed by Brad Pitt who also sucked 🤣.. TV and movies in general have come a long way since then and matured in many ways. Hopefully, AMC will not make the mistakes that were made with movie , Interview with Vampire , and will take the time and money to do these 2 now classic collections justice in terms of casting, scripts , and production.... TWD was dead a long time ago, it's past time for AMC to move on
@@duaanazar6484 wow. That’s Kinda cool. I have synthesia but I’ve never seen a character in movies portray someone with it. Mine is sounds/pitch = colors
An interesting and powerful role...but there is always a slightly unhealthy side to some of Sam Reid's roles... By playing the Gothic card, you end up losing your soul... Evil is never far away... I advise this actor to abandon his role as a vampire to play characters a little less dark... Even if he tries to break the purity of his image... Why go against his true nature? Not following the norm of the gloomy is in itself a much more interesting challenge!
He doesn't discuss his relationships but I'm guessing he must be part of the LGBTQ community based on the amount of queer roles he plays. But who knows. It's nobody's business but his own really
He’s bisexual. He’s been in a relationship with a woman for ~6 years but there’s a few anecdotes out there from men that he’s hooked up/known back when he was dating men in London.
I came here just to hear his voice. 😍
So did I!
Me toooo
Saaaame LOL!!! 😂🥰
I came for the voice, stayed because of his talent.
Me,too😍
Well now I need to see this! Sam Reid is becoming my favorite actor to watch

Well he is a Scorpio moon so I wouldn't put it past him
His voice... It's like a combo of Alan Rickman and Jeremy Irons, whose voices are dead sexy in their own right.
@@aminahlouise1203really? I had no idea
Omg, I have been searching for this comment. I absolutely agree with you on this @@karmenhall7492
His voice is beautifull
Very rare star power in Sam Reid. Reminds me of past icons.

This show was fantastic! A beautiful story.
Great series
Sam's an intelligent actor
Portrayed the character delicately
I like Sam in anything but was surprised he chose this one. Maybe he wanted to see if we were paying attention.
