I agree but I think if you really want to get the big ol' honkers you need just a few really good looking decoys and call them right. Just proved it to my buddy last weekend. I've never hunted the big flocks of lessers or snows, trying to learn about it and see if I can justify getting in to it.
Hey I got a dozen slammer socks in mallard drake pattern, I also have some higdon fully body mallards. Do you thing that is an effective pattern for field hunting ducks or should I mix in some goose decoys too to break it up. Or how should I lay out this spread?
BobbyGuyFilms gotcha! I usually do that anyway. I hunt marches and swamps here in pa for ducks but never tried fields. Will probably mixed it in with a goose spread and hunt both species
Can you please do a video on why you think you dont need a 3.5in chambered shotgun? Trying to decide what gun to get a browning a5, browning maxus, or beretta a400 xtreme but if you really dont need a 3.5in id like to know what you opinion is. Thanks.
Also could you touch on the differences between gas operated systems and inertia systems? The way the work felt recoil etc. seems everyone is on the inertia train these days and would like to know why and your thoughts as to why everyone seems to think they are so great and pros and cons to each system. Thanks man love the vids.
Btw it depends on where you are because on Bobby videos in Kansas they get big tornadoes to come in with 400 decoys in Iowa we have 700 decoys in the spread and we can’t get big groups to finish like that but in Iowa in the fall we could set 100 snow goose decoys and kill a lot of birds so it just depends where your from and if it’s fall or spring
Late response but here in Delmarva we have had days where we put out 3dz snow full body’s in the fall and kill them but won’t have any luck in the spring with 50 plus dozen decoys
@@basscrancker1931 ya some days your better off sitting in the ditch and pass shooting than trying to decoy with any amount of tornado machines or flappers or full bodies
Yeah I would love to see how you set up because I'm just getting started on goose hunting so I would love to see how you set up why and how much for like a two-person hunt
BobbyGuyFilms now you have 138k!!!!! You truly are the best in the game! We all love a support you and I hope you keep smackin’ the birds! Thank you for always entertaining us and keeping us learning! God bless
Hey Bob and subs, just recently found the channel (not sure if there's a video answering this, still looking). My main issue is that where I hunt, the wind seems to swirl a lot. For example, it'll come out of the north at the start of the hunt, and sometimes by the end it will have switched to west or southwest. Is there a way to account for this when making a spread, or do we just have to react in the moment to the changing wind to some degree or another? Thanks all and happy hunting ~ Ryan from northern VT
I need to invest in some Canada socks. I used to run them years ago before I bought a bunch of full bodies and honestly I think I killed more geese over socks 🤷♂️ could be the ones I had was real dark so they might of been visible or the movement or combination of both. My Moral of the story don’t buy into you need expensive decoys to kill honkers
Thanks for watching homies go check out all of the other waterfowl how to's on my playlist Fowl Fridays! Thanks again guys

+NEPA Outdoors As long as you scout em a duck hunt doesn't take much decoys

Really am glad I found your channel. Really like your fowl Friday vids

I just hunt water and wanted to know when is the best time to scout water and any other advice that might make my scouting for successful
+Peat Bear I got 2 scouting videos that are extremely informative go to my videos and they are there

Video on your trailer and how and why you have what you have
Hey Bobby one thing I was wondering is 100 full body Canada goose decoys enough to hunt in a corn field
@@TrevorC2.0 couldn't of Said it better.....iv killed with a dozen floaters or 200 decoy spread
Up in Washington Canada geese hate snows. Keep up the good vids.

+tyler cheshire Will do!
If you do it can you show it with different scenarios like for honkers with ducks, honkers with snows, and snows with ducks?

Do it!! What are your thoughts of Canadian wind socks?
+Alec Gulbranson they r money offer slot of motion
BobbyGuyFilms Okay cus in Minnesota we don't see much snows so I wouldn't wanna use them
Would love to see how to setup dark and light with fulls and socks.
+Michael Costa It'll be coming!
